This is an AIM log for Tavshed (RockerWolfie1616) and Dichali (.Tortured. .Pumpkin.)
PostPosted: Sat Dec 01, 2012 8:58 am

Stepping lightly through the trees and foliage, dodging shadows and anything dark. Alongside the stallion walked a tiger colored familiar carrying a matching tiger plush within her mouth. After a long while walking Tavshed took a nervous little breath, eyes gazing at the world beyond his little expanse of forest that he hadn't left in so long. His daughter had left a few days prior to see the world..leaving himself and the two Bau's all alone. Alone to fight the shadows drawing nearer..to fight the aching loneliness he felt. "Bau..." Sighing out the word in his soft raspy voice the male head lowered to gently nose along the purring felines back. Maybe he'd try to leave the forest again tomorrow..today he just stood staring off into the distance.

It had been quite some time since the flutter had left the teepee. But alas, everyone else had gone off for their own adventures today. Be it visiting with children, or meeting with mates, nobody wished to stay in. Although it reminded him of how utterly alone he was, Dichali decided that moping would do him no good. He needed to find something new and exciting, and when all you do is sit at a teepee all day and get used as a template for a two-legger's jewelry and hair bead obsession, that shouldn't be difficult to find. Grumbling and snorting, he made his way through the forest, doubting anything terribly good would happen.

After staring a bit longer Tavshed turned back towards home, walking swiftly with Bau trotting along behind him. "Home.." Smiling delicately he continued walking along however the sound of someone else walking nearby made him freeze. Ears flicking back his heart gave a few heavy hammers. The thought of running struck but, Bau had also hear the sound. With a flick of her tail the feline rushed off through the brush with her plushie counterpart still held. "Ah..no!" Hoofs stamping nervously Tavshed stepped carefully after Bau, trying hard to be silent. Bau on the other hand made quite the ruckus while moving towards the scent and sound. Something or someone had entered their little forest, she had to protect Tav. With a not so mighty muffled growl the little female pounced upon one white leg, paws batting harmlessly against the flesh.

Dichali's eyes widened at the sound of something drawing closer, very quickly. The flash of tiger stripes had almost gone unnoticed until they started attacking his leg. "Hey!" Startled, the stallion fluttered his wings and rose into the air a bit. He examined the familiar and chuckled a little bit before landing again. "Oh, hi there." After noticing the plushie held in her mouth, he figured she had somebody to go home to. "Are you lost?" He gave her a few nudges to make sure she wasn't hurt or anything, and looked her over a little bit more. "I'm sure you've got somebody looking for you." He hadn't even thought that maybe that someone was following right behind her.

Bau huffed and growled a bit more being unusually grouchy but, it had been forever since a visitor had gotten so close to Tav. Before she could fuss more Tavshed's head poke through the foliage. He did not venture close but, did make a desperate little noise in the back of his throat. Bau huffed, head held high as she pranced over to curl about Tavshed's leg. Tsking softly to his wayward little familiar the stallion bent to take the plush and place it upon his saddled back. " Ah...S-sorry..!" Voice it's usual pained rasp he gave a little bow towards the stallion, thankfully he had no black upon his pelt which brought Tavshed minor comfort. Bau refused to look upon the stranger, instead she stood guard before the nearly mute male..ready to pounce again if necessary. "B-bad Bau...."

The flutter chuckled a little bit. "Oh, no reason to be sorry. I've obviously intruded upon your home land, and so I am the one who needs to apologize." He kept his distance, not wishing to upset the familiar again. The other male's stutter reminded him of his son, who'd long since left to be with his mate. Cho never visited anymore. He sighed at the thought, but pushed out a warm smile toward the stallion anyway. "My name is Dichali. I promise I'm not here to harm you, I was just wandering away from home, seeing what there is to see and such. I live not far from here, by a small pond. It's odd to think I've not met you before, living this close. I guess I don't get out enough."

The stallion spoke so much but, it was like music to the lonely Tavshed's ears. Every syllable and phrase had him smiling shyly, happily..he longed to hear more. Sadly conversations had never been his strong suite. "Tavshed..Bau..Bau." Nodding in turn to his live familiar and the plush upon his back he again smiled happily. Dichali..if only the male knew how little Tav 'got out' he'd feel like a world explorer. "Mm...l-live...there.." Pointing with his nose Tavshed took a few steps closer, ignoring Bau's unhappy look. She'd never really harm someone else especially once Tavshed spoke to them. "C-cave..." Pointing through the trees to a roughly hewn little cave hidden somewhat by moss. Yes that was where he and Bau called home, a comfy little cave that others rarely travelled near. "My..c-can no t-talk well..h-hurts." Eyes filling with sadness the male lowered his head to idly nibble a blade of grass.

Dichali never really needed much response to carry a conversation. Everybody in the teepee always joked about how if he didn't have anyone around, he probably talked to himself. The speculations weren't entirely untrue. "It's very nice to meet you, Tavshed." He nodded to the stallion. "And Bau, and Bau." He then nodded to the plushie and familiar. It was obvious that the other stallion didn't see others often, and the familiar and plushie comforted Dichali. He couldn't imagine anybody being completely alone. "Ah, I see. It certainly seems very nice. I'm sure the moss helps to insulate it during cold nights, which is a must out here." He chuckled. a bit. "I live in a teepee, with a two-legger, and a few others. There, others come and go. Children are born, and they grow and leave to have children of their own. Very few of us have been there our whole lives. But I grew up there. Midori, the very first of the teepee, found my basket and cared for me my entire life." He frowned a little bit at the stallion's pain. "I do apologize for speaking so much, when you can say so little. You do not have to answer me, but what kind of hurt is it? Is it scratchy and sore? Or is it more of a stinging, achy feel?"

Listening with the same quiet smile the stallion stepped closer, gently pausing to nuzzle Bau ahead of him. The feline sulked but, seeing her companion okay with things she gave a delicate rub against the other males legs. Just listening and watching he eased himself close enough to really get a look at Dichali. "Yes...m-moss.. It's..o-okay." Frowning at the question of what kind of hurt it was the stallion shrugged, ears flicking quietly before he tried speaking again through the pain. "S-s-screamed..hurt..w-when little..Ache..s-sting. Bad..bad shadows..d-darkness." Heart rate accelerating he took a few shaky breaths and moved a little nearer..eyes flicking about towards more shadowed areas.

Dichali followed the worried gaze of the stallion and frowned slightly. "You know, I hear that when you travel in groups or pairs, others are less likely to try anything to harm you. They see it as a threat. Which is a good thing, you know? And for your throat, have you ever tried honey? The bees make it. My two-legger gathers it, and uses it for many ailments. It seems to never go bad. I'm sure I could bring you some if you'd like. And I'm sure a nice, cold drink could help, too. It could be swollen in there." He nodded, hoping his suggestions could be helpful. Dichali could see that the other stallion was uneasy, and tried a trick he'd use on foals. "And there's nothing that's in the darkness and shadows that isn't in the light. It just seems scarier because you can't see it. But if you close your eyes when you're in the light, it's like the same thing. If you'd like, you can try it. I won't go anywhere, and I'll keep watch for you. I'm sure Bau will too."

The stallion did know that groups were better..that's why he had been so fretful when his daughter had left. The mention of honey made his head give a curious tilt "D-drink already...been like t-this..forever." Not really forever just since leaving his basket to find his mother being attacked by some large dark form. Tavshed had screamed so hard..his first sound..instead of leaning to say 'Mommy'. Still Dichali's thoughtfulness had him managing another bright smile. Though what he said after that had Tav's ears flicking back fully, chest squeezing tight. "B-big dark..will h-hurt me like i-it hurt..mother.." Bau sensing her companion's discomfort gracefully leapt atop his back to begin grooming his short fluffed mane. Head shaking gently so as not to harm either little tiger the now slightly embarrassed, frightened male took a few steps back. "C-can't.." No..that faceless beast might appear once more..might come to take his life like it had his mothers and, possibly any siblings he had.

Dichali frowned a little bit at hearing what happened. "If you'd like, Tavshed, you can come to the teepee with me... There's almost always someone there. The two-legger there always has a fire going, so it's never dark. And it's by the lake. You, Bau, and Bau would never have to be alone." It was in the stallion's nature to take others in. That's how he was raised by Midori, and she was always taking in those in need. Since the last batch of children have grown and gone, there was plenty of room there. "Tavshed, I won't let anything happen to you. I'm going to be right here." He stepped closer to the male in an attempt to comfort him.

The offer made him pause and momentarily forget his fear. No one had ever offered to protect him..it had always been the other way around..twice he'd made friends that had almost become love but, both had left him here. Unsure about trusting the kind male but, still wishing to see the world..even if it was a small distance away..would it be worth the risk? Taking a shaky little inhale of breath Tavshed closed the distance between them, timidly nosing a bit of Dichali's mane aside. Just a bit of physical contact made him settle and, relax. "R-really? Never...left h-here.." Bau purred her own comforting little sound which helped the stallion agree to leaving. With a nod and little smile he held his head up a little higher. "O-okay.."

"You've NEVER left?" Dichali was astonished. He couldn't imagine staying in one place for so long. The flutter didn't pay any mind to being touched, he was used to it. Excitement filled the male's heart when the other agreed to leave. "Tavshed, you have been missing out for so long. You'll fit right in, I promise. It'll be just like family!" He smiled brightly at the male, and then to Bau. It made him happy to think that he could help make a difference in someone's life. And by the looks of it, this stallion needed it. "You can take as long as you'd like to get ready. I'll wait for you. And if you don't like it, you can always come back."
