The silo looked quiet and forlorn. No scattered hay lay about but there was a new, freshly made mound of earth next to it. Small, and patted down. Some sort of scruffy thing lay on top, looked like a well-worn scrap of fabric knotted up in the shape of a mouse.
Althea huffed as she surveyed the scenery, nodding to Ginkgo and Dragon.
"Right, so I'll be here. Send Charcoal for me if you need anything. Good luck you two, and Frith speed."
With that she sorted out her lot, making a point to pull out Raven and having a word with her.
"Is your leg still bothering you? Up for this? If not..."
No, this isn't what she meant to say. She had to respect that her kitten was a full-grown adult and up for Owsla consideration at that. It was too little, too late in terms of playing marli now.
She sighed and started over.
"So, we're here to gather whatever flay we can find, take another with you and see if you can find a way into the silo if the farmer's got the door locked up. And Raven, your temper... mind it, please."
This she said with some guilt, no doubt blaming herself for the reason her daughter was so bitter.

Raven feeling a little under pressure given the situation followed along behind Althea quietly. Upon being singled out she sat straight up, hiding all signs of pain for fear of looking weak, "It's just a stratch, I'll be fine." she did her best to sound confident, though she herself didn't believe it for a second. At the mention of her temper Raven had to bite her tongue to prevent herself from giving a snappy response, "No, of course. I'll be as patient as Frith allows", with a quick scan over the team Raven made her choice, tapping Greenstrike with her paw as gently as she could since her Marli was watching, "Alright, you... let's go check things out."

 Anisthray moved to the edge of the group, still within sight of all those in her group but far enough away to act as scout and the first line of defense. She wasn't taking any chances, she sat up on her back feet ears erect as she looked around scanning for any sign of danger or trouble that might arise. As well as looking for any tiny bits of flay she could possibly find. She needed to be alert and protect her team. She was a bit nervous being with Raven again, the female had a temper and she was injured. She didn't want this to end badly for any of them.

The marli Owsla nodded in passing at Anis, chancing a glance over the farmland to see if she could spot Pepper's team or even the farmhouse.
"Warn me if anything's amiss. Even if you just feel like something is amiss. Frith gave you instincts for a reason."
Her ear twitched as she listened for... anything really. Maybe Anis would have a better chance at understanding the unsettling feeling deep inside, or maybe her hunger was making her skittish.
Something just didn't feel right though.
Shaking her head, she turned back to the silo and started snuffling about, trying to find any forgotten piles of hay or perhaps some form of flay at all.

Mouse was pleased that things had finally started to get moving. He looked around at his team, they seemed like a respectable bunch of rabbits... but he felt the urge to be annoying to them anyway, "Ugh where is that brother of mine? I bet he was just too scared. He's not as brave as me! Y-AWN" he dramatically yawned, turning in a circle to survey his surroundings, "This place is too quiet... where's the danger?" he began grooming one of his ears to show how "bored" he supposedly was to be there... though inside his stomach, butterflies were doing cartwheels and threatening to pass out.

 Greenstrike joined his assigned group, alert for any dangers they might encounter. His companions were clearly more experienced, and they wore the evidence on their pelts... so many scars. The buck was listened to every word, waiting for his turn - a gentle paw tapped him. He turned to the dark doe with a firm nod. "Absolutely. Let's go." With a cringe, Greenstrike glanced at the talkative Mouse-Ear. Maybe he wasn't the only inexperienced one here, after all. The thought wasn't as relieving as he'd expected.

Anisthray gave a nod to Althea. "Yes ma'am." She said softly her voice a whisper. She felt off, or the air felt off. Something seemed wrong, just slightly skewed. She couldn't quite put her paw on it but... it was there and it was something. She glanced around once more, her eyes falling over the barn before moving once more to look over the land. She was tense and there was a twisting feeling in her gut, at the sound of Mouse's voice she flinched. She turned on him and stamped her foot once. "Quiet." She whispered softly. "You must be quiet. We are not looking for danger remember, we are looking for food. Check around for something of use. You might get lucky." She kept her voice soft but tried to sound happy.

Raven hurried over the silo as fast has her stiff leg would allow, making sure to keep an ear out for anything that might be lurking nearby. She couldn't smell anything unsafe but there was something not right here, she could feel it. Perhaps this raid wasn't such a good idea after all, surely the man and his dog would not have forgotten the last one yet and they were bound to be more on edge than usual what with one team having killed his cat in the barn and all. With a shiver Raven snorted, sitting up and scanning the area, "Right Greenstrike was it? Whatever, just check around the other side would you. There's got to be a way inside this thing... Farmer's aren't smart enough to make them entirely rabbit-proof"

Fox-Spot darted about, nervous as this was his first ever raid. At least his brother was there with him. But he noticed new faces he had never quite met before, a pretty runner doe and then Althea and Raven.... the mother daughter power duo. Oh man he had heard horror stories of the two. Twitching his ears and slightly drumming his hind foot against the ground, he slank in next to his brother, his nervous stutter already apparent. "W-w-ell, glad to see you here b-b-brother." he said, his eyes and nose going a million miles an hour in every direction about the silo.

"Can we go see the dead pfeffa? I bet it's all rotten and smelly by now! I'm gonna poke it with-" here he stepped back and almost fell over a carrot that was simply laying there out in the open "OH! HA! Finders keepers!"
Mouse nuzzled his brother in a more irritating way than showing affection. "You're late! Look, I already found flay-rah while you were taking your sweet time!"

Althea heard the commotion and looked over to see a rabbit with his prize.
...Curious, that it would be so easy. That was another oddity. Something just wasn't right.
... It was too quiet. Almost like everyone was gone. Missing.

Greenstrike nodded again, obediently turning to investigate the silo. "What's your-..." The buck stopped himself, realizing this was not the proper time to ask for her name. Maybe he'd get lucky and hear someone else address her. He cleared his throat and shook his head, moving around the opposite side of the structure in search of openings or stray flay. He couldn't disappoint, he refused.
