By the time they reached the farm itself it was dusk and there was only so much light left. Weary and thoughts drawn inward, Althea approached Pepper and touched noses in greeting.
"One last time, right? Just as before. Cocklebur will have to make you Owsla after this, I suspect. Stay safe, you hear me? We're getting too old for this hraka."
She shook her massive head with feeling, standing up and 'bouncing' on her hind legs in the style of an Owsla salute before threading through the rest of the group and singling out those staying with Pepper.
Good lucks and well wishings all around, a quick prayer or two, and then she was off with the others, towards the silo and into the quickly growing dark.

Pepper turned as Althea headed towards him. The grim smile gracing his face once more. "Hello old friend, yes I suspect he will have to. And indeed we are getting too old for this, perhaps after this one we can let those youngin's manage on their own?"
Touching noses with her, Pepper turned to face his team as the remaining rabbits turned to head on their own missions. "Alright you lot, listen up. We'll be raiding the bins over next to the farm house. so we must keep our talking to a dull roar. The farmer will most certainly be on guard today. Keep safe and swift and follow me"
Pepper turned and began to make his way towards the food bins.

 Owsla or not, Pepper was clearly leading this leg of the expedition and Feverfew respected that. Althea, a doe she highly respected, had left to see off the other teams.The doe, who was neither old nor young, dipped her head respectfully as the owsla stand in gave them their orders. She was nervous, her heart a flutter as she contemplated what was to come. She was dreading the thought of facing the Black Rabbit, but what will be will be.
"Aye, right behind you, sir." She replied quietly, her russet fur glinting in the fading light. True to her word, she was right behind the old, gray buck. She had stretched and prepared herself. She would face what challenges came to greet them and she would be swift and full of tricks, Frith willing.

 Talltale sat up and listened, his long ears twitched, things were about to begin. Turning his attention to the team leader, the dun colored buck followed behind. Stopping now and again to listen. the area was open, too open. Much different from the barn. This made him nervous, very nervous. Moving across the open ground towards the food bins, ever alert for danger. Mainly, the farmer.

 Lamb's Ear trusted Althea, and if Althea trusted Pepper, that was enough for her. The young doe tugged an ear towards him in respect, then hopped off after him, keeping to the outside of the group of rabbits and watching for any dogs, farmers, cats, or snares that might hinder their progress. Her nerves were keeping her silent, but she was the standing runner for this group, and she knew what she had to do.

It was quiet. Almost too quiet. Pepper gave the area a glance over with his good eye and continued towards the bins. They were almost there and so far, they had seen nothing out of place. It was almost like the farm was abandoned. And that was a scary thought.

It was too quiet for the doe. Her rounded ears swiveled as she listened for any dangers and her nose twitched as she scented for anything out of the ordinary. She did not like this one bit, but at least they didn't have elil breathing down their necks - yet, anyway. The russet doe kept behind Pepper and when the bins came in to view and she was certain there was nothing there that would make a meal out of her stringy frame, she hopped nearer to them and pushed her paws against the wood. Something caught her eye and made her mouth nearly water, a stray carrot.
She sniffed it, checking it over to see if it was dangerous, but she found no signs of a threat and picked it up. She was half tempted to gnaw away at it, her stomach reminding her with a pang that she hadn't been eating all that well. This was for the new marli, though. They needed it more than her.

Lamb continued to search the area, keeping close to the ground and being ready to sprint away should any sign of danger rear its head. She sniffed about for bits of flay, but wasn't extremely close to the bins- she much preferred to make her way in slowly.

It was indeed too quiet, the wind blew cold, but that was all. Sitting up and sniffing at the wind, Talltale moved closer to the food bins. Crouching closer to one of them, he looked back towards Pepper, the white rabbit. It was a tense time as he listened, before moving to search around the bins, not daring to search higher.

"Alright you lot, keep an eye out for anything suspicious and let's see if we can't rustle up some more food" Pepper turned to observe the bins, noting that once again the locks were in place on the bins. Turning from them, Pepper peered at the barren field. Prehaps there would be some food in there.
