Arrin (or 'Rin' or 'Arri') tends to present a "tough as nails" exterior, and she usually hides what she's feeling behind a good-natured front. She's short and slightly stocky. When she smiles (or grins evilly, whichever) it is apparent that she is missing a tooth. She enjoys being around people, but she generally needs time to herself once in a while or she gets snappish. She likes to whistle.

About Arrin

Ahoy there ye scurvy dogs! My name be Arrin...a good piratey name that. Ye can just hear the "ARRRR!" rollin' off the tongue. ARRRin! Aye, I chose meself a fine name there. Er...I mean...me parents chose a fine name. Yeah. Parents.

Ahem. Anyhow, I be Arrin Shepherd, and I spend me days aboard the ship Dementia. She be a fine ship, though I can't say as I know many of me crewmates yet. Still, when we're out in the open seas who knows what could happen? We've been through our first sea battle, and she were quite a profitable one too-three dubloons for me! We're in port now, so we'll just see what happens here.

Well, we've certainly been busy since the last time I wrote in this ol' thing. We've been in another sea battle, and again we were victorious! Three cheers for the Dementia!

Anyways, I earned some fine dubloons in that battle, and went off with the captain and some of the crew to explore an island while the rest dispose of the captured vessel. So far we haven't found any treasure worth mentioning, but we did find a group of monkeys. At first I was a little scared of them (don't be telling any of the other pirates that, mind) but they're really not bad, once you get to know them. The cap'n has selected four of us to take some with us to train, and I am one of those. I will have to think of a suitable name for my monkey.

I haven't had too much personal contact with the rest of the crew, but I have briefly met with a few of them. The cap'n, it seems to me, is a few mugs shy of a full keg, but she's probably the most dangerous pirate I've ever laid eyes on. I've also run into an elf-man, but I really don't know what I think of him. He didn't really seem to be that interested in me which, if what I've seen of him with that wh-...another female pirate, probably means my disguise is working and he can't tell I'm a girl. Anyways, I've got to get back to scouring the island for treasure.
