Bix had come by earlier for Ryan but instead had found Ariane. Thankfully that had been painless enough and after some tussling and some food, she'd gone off to do something else. Bix was now full and wandering and still almost single-mindedly looking for Ryan. He didn't know why he felt so strongly about talking to him. He barely knew the guy, really, and hadn't planned the conversation at all. It could just be awkward silences for all he knew. Ah well. Once more, the albino knocked on the dorm door. Almost immediately he groaned as his fullness kicked him again. Sometimes it was a chore to eat a good meal!

Ryan for once was actually in his dorm. In fact, he had been there for most of the afternoon, tucked away in the corner of his room with a book. A small distraction to keep his mind from wandering. Which, after all the recent events, was a very much needed one. There were too many things to think about and far less he wanted to think about and no Locke to distract him. So whenever he found he had free time, he busied himself with whatever chore, or book he could find and ignored it. However, when he heard the knock at the door, the book was lowered.
Not many people came to knock at his door. Maybe Ariane forgot the extra set of keys again.
"Its open." He called and turned his attention back to his book.

Bix actually halted a moment on hearing Ryan's voice but eventually turned the knob and popped his head in. Ryan, as far as he knew, didn't know he was alive. He didn't want to startle him. "Hello?" He peered around the door and eventually came in. He wasn't in uniform, just a tee and jeans, so he looked less like a phantom returned from the dead. The albino held his hands up innocently. Not all of his 'reveal' conversations had gone smoothly. "Don't freak."

The door opened, but Ryan didn't look up. Not immediately anyways. He had been expecting Ariane to enter, since she was currently sharing his room while hers was under repairs, so when he heard a man's voice, he couldn't help but snap his head up in surprise. Surprise which more than doubled upon seeing just who it was.
And though he was told not to, he freaked anyways.
"W-w-w-w-what the hell!?" The moon trainee, even though he was sitting, nearly fell over backwards in his attempt to back up.
Of all the people to walk into his dorm, he did not expect to see Bix.
"They said you were dead!"

"Yeah.." Bix waggled his fingers in innocence. "They told me that too when I woke up naked on a morgue tray. Ceres too. She's also alive." He didn't come too far into the room. He'd not gotten many good responses to his return from the dead. It was hard to predict what would happen. "Which is why I'm here I guess."

There was a pause and Ryan stopped trying to back away. Clearly Bix wasn't a ghost. Then again, with his pale complexion, it was hard to tell. But if he was a ghost, then at least he was a friendly one. "That's rough. I can't imagine what that would be li--" wait. "You're both alive?" He blinked, trying to wrap his mind around this. "But, we saw you both die and..." He paused again. "Alive. You're not alive like... zombie alive... are you?"
There might have been a suspicious look on Ryan's face now. iloveyouDIE Very late tag, so sorry Q__Q

"I'm not craving any brains..." Bix quirked his mouth a bit but then nodded, at least understanding the skepticism. "But I can't explain it because no one explained it to me." Bix shifted a bit and stuffed his hands in his pockets. "Basically though, I heard how you defended Ceres and wanted to thank you. That's all. I know you suffered for it..." His eyes fell, almost ashamed to be alive now that he'd found people punished.

At that Ryan settled back into his chair, still in disbelief over Bix's sudden revival. Though now he didn't doubt it as much now either. "How could they not explain something like that to you?" Or was it because they themselves hadn't known? Either way, it was good to know that both of them were safe and sound.
Noting Bix's guilt, Ryan shook his head. "I'll heal. You don't need to thank me for it. I would have said its what comrades do for each other, but given what happened, I'm not so sure that's as true as I once believed." Truth be told, he was having a lot of doubts about Deus lately. "Either way, I would do it all again. I'm just sorry we couldn't protect her in the end and I'm sorry we couldn't reach you before--well.. you know."

"Well.." Bix just stepped forward and put his hand out for a shake, as men do. "I appreciate it. Ceres and I are.. uh.. together now." It was brand new, he was still awkward saying it. "So it means a lot to me. I don't even really know you all that well.." Bix looked sheepish. "But hey.. maybe we can fix that?" OnionGrump LETS BE FRIENDS RYAN mrgreen

Ryan blinked, but didn't pull away from the handshake. He didn't know Bix well either, but seeing him here now and knowing that he was alive to be thankful about something made him happy. Even if choosing to protect them went against orders, he didn't have any doubts in his choice. "Seriously?" He grinned, amused that the girl he often bickered with was actually dating someone now. "I'm glad there's at least some good news then." He answered before tilting his head a little.
"I look forward to it." iloveyouDIE OKAY! WE CAN BE FRIENDS, BIX 8D

"AWESOME!" Bix beamed, excited at the prospect of a new guy friend. He thumbed towards the ceiling. "I live up on the second floor. Got a sweet apartment-y thing up there. A kitchen and.. umm comic books?" Bix looked hopeful that Ryan was into comics. He retracted his hand back to his pocket and shrugged. "So if you ever need anything, really, let me know." Bix probably wouldn't have disobeyed orders. He wouldn't tell Ryan that, but it didn't make him appreciate the others actions any less. "So maybe I'll uh.. see you around." Another smile, an awkward glance of not knowing what else to say, and a simple step backwards towards the door.

Ryan jumped again, but this time managed a grin before his eyes followed the direction Bix was pointing in.
"Comic books?" His grin grew a little wider. He hadn't known such a thing existed on the island. Then again, if he had managed to get a hold of the few books he had, he supposed comic books would be any more difficult. Especially with people like Allan on the island.
"Sure thing. I don't know if I can help with much, but same goes for you. If you ever need anything, I'll do whatever I can to help out." Truth be told, there wasn't much he could do that could probably help. For one he wasn't that skilled as a hunter yet and two, he wasn't in the good books where Deus was concerned. He had still yet to hear back about his punishment. No doubt he would be receiving one, on top of having Locke taken away. It was only a matter of time really.
"Sure, take care then." He offered the other a light wave, before retrieving his book he had set aside earlier. It was good to see that Bix was alright and to hear that Ceres was as well. In a way it was like a heavy pain had been lifted off of his chest.
