'Games and tents were set up everywhere Alana looked. There were targets for archery, pistols, and rifles, stakes in the ground for throwing horseshoes and other objects large and small, and several wrestling platforms. There were contests of dexterity - an obstacle course a contestant had to cross while carrying a mug of ale on his head! And contests of strength - a footrace in the snow, but each runner had to carry another man on his back. That one, Alana noticed, definitely got a lot of laughs from the crowd of onlookers. Most of the games seemed designed to assume the audience rather than the competitors, but that was apparently -'

The door bell chimed as a customer entered the coffee shop, drawing Lunette back to reality.

"Welcome to Fuel!! Would you like to try our Peppermint Chai with two free shots of espresso?!" Her soft voice cooed to the customer as she placed a cloth marker in her book. They ordered black - to go.

In and out went the customers of the day, paying little to no mind to Lunette as they went about it. Though the shop maintained business, it never became busy. Small blessings for Lunette, seeing as most of her time was spent in some fantasy land, be it the clouds or printed; romance and adventure is always stirring about in her, but never leads her. "Someday," Lu thought to herself, "I'll find something to bring passion into my life."

User ImageJohn walked into the cafe. He always wanted to see what each new shop and restaurant had and since he was visiting in the capital. The Native American man stepped in and looked around the cafe like a curious mouse. It seemed more of a modern place and not so much a little in the corner cafe like most of his co-workers would go to. Even if John was old fashion he still like the feel of the modern look. He walked over to the drink board to see what there was to drink.

The chimes sounded as a rather tall man entered the coffee shop and approached her barista stand before she could hit him with a greeting. Lu knew better than to have her nose in a book during business hours, but isn't that the point of coffee shops? She gave him a warm smile and softly stated, "Welcome to Fuel! How may I caffeinate you today? We have a holiday special this week, Peppermint Chai with two extra shots, if you're interested."

Lunette gave him a quick once-over and decided he was pretty handsome. Most of the men in these parts seemed to be rather fetching - but no matter. She smiled at him sweetly and wondered to herself if she had a red mark from where she was resting her hand. Comfort when reading is always paramount, but maybe not in public. Lu mindlessly fingered at a lace patch she had lying about the counter, as she waited for his response.

User ImageJohn looked down from the sell board to the woman and listen to what the special is. It was common place to get a greeting, but rare to also get something that he liked as that was also a special seemed rare. "That sounds wonderful. I would like some of that." He agreed. He used to use mint plants when he was a shaman in his years pass. The redhead walked over to the front counter and pulled out a few dollars. "Hey mister RB cool to see you out and about." Some students said as they came in. The man smiled at the children. "I hope you're not making trouble." He told them.

The redheaded man ordered the holiday special - Lu's favorite. As she was mixing up the coffee drink she overheard some youngsters come in and refer to this customer of her's as 'mister.' "Mister? He must work for the local school..." Lunette murmured to herself as she snapped the lid onto the Peppermint Chai.

Delicately holding the coffee drink with two hands, she turned back to the main counter. Each step she took was very gentle and precise - spilling hot coffee all over yourself is the least flattering thing to do. Lunette held the coffee out to the man and gazed up at him through hooded lashes and softly said, "That'll be two dollars, sir." Lu could already feel a bit of pink biting at her checks.

User ImageJohn reached into his wallet and pulled out too dollars and trade it with the woman while he grabbed the drink. "Thank you." The man said with a mild mannered voice. He then walked over to one of the seats and sat down. Some of the students went next and as each one got what they wanted they joined their teacher. It wasn't look till they were talking about music of all kinds. Even though John was off of work for the day he was still teaching with pride.

In the corner of the shop, Eva Anarchy glared down at her dark coffee with weak and annoyed eyes. I really should be getting to my students... she kept thinking, however she did not move from her seat. The last month had been very depressing for Eva, making her appearance darker and more mysterious than usual. All of a sudden she heard someone burst through the front door of the shop. Nemu, and more surprisingly, in her human form. She seemed very exited as she scooted down next to Eva. "Listen! Alois is in the school! He wants to meet you here!" Nemu exclaimed as she pulled out a map of the school building and pointed to one of the classrooms. "The poetry classroom?" Eva sounded surprised. Nemu cocked an eyebrow. "What's wrong with that? You know the teacher?" Eva tried to remember who taught that class, and her memory rushed back to her. Imhotep. She never really talked to the man, but he interested her. And, if her brother was going to meet her in the poetry room, she wouldn't mind talking to him. Nemu grabbed her hand and pulled Eva out of her seat. "Come on! Alois won't be waiting for long!" Nemu's voice sounded like Alois had something urgent to say, so Eva jumped out of her seat as Nemu practically dragged her out of the coffee shop.
