.: Galactic Almanac -- Who's Who and What's What :.

So the universe is a pretty big place to try wandering around in, and if you're not prepared for the trip you are bound to get very lost. You're going to need a map. And perhaps a neat little guide to tell you what sorts of things you can find at all the places you'll be going. You know, some kind of traveller's handbook for all the hottest hangouts and coolest retreats or perhaps those places that have a big Do Not Enter sign hung on their front gate! And that's exactly what this thread is for -- to be your handbook!

...Unfortunately, the pages seem to be a little... well, they're completely blank, actually. But this is where you can come in! If it's your cup of tea, you can post any information you know about your senshi homeworld right here. That way, anything we'd like to know about all the best hotspots in the cosmos can be found in the same place!

  • Unlike the version of this thread in the Deep Space forum this is for past life information only!
  • Please put the name of your celestial object or wonder at the top of your post, in bold size 20 font. This is for the sake of making browsing a little easier!
  • You can otherwise format and edit your entry at your leisure and discretion. You're not obligated to tell us everything about your object or wonder if you want to keep a few secrets, and you don't have to post here at all if you don't want to.
  • Please keep it to one post per object/wonder and one object/wonder per post.
  • This thread is for DATA ENTRY ONLY. We don't want it to get too cluttered, so please keep all plotting to plot threads.
  • PLEASE DO NOT MAKE A POST UNLESS YOU HAVE ACTUAL INFORMATION TO PUT IN IT. This means NO reserving!

Asteroid ~ Iris

User Image

The world of Iris was a dark-sanded desert world. It had been rumored that at one point the world had water. However, as long as any Iridian could remember, there had never been any natural source of water on the asteroid.

Iridian Landmarks:
  • The Port City - The Iridian world literally only had one city. It was not a lavish place, the buildings being carved of pale stone. It was the place where foreigners started and ended their journeys on this world. The city was essentially treated by the natives as a sort of tourist trap, due to the vast amount of foreigners that sought out "good deals" in bartering. The most skilled Iridian traders lived here. It was rare for non-natives to be seen anywhere outside of the Port City.
  • The Vast Desert - Welcome to the rest of the world! Aside from the Port City, the rest of the Iridian world was literally a desert. The world was covered with a substance that seemed similar to black sand and seemingly nothing else. The majority of native Iridians could be found traveling the Vast Desert in their Nomadic Clans. There were very few native species of flora and fauna to the asteroid of Iris due to the lack of any natural source of water.
  • The Edge - One section of the world underwent strange seasonal patterns during the year. This area had such a strange shape to it that it did not get any sunshine during the winter, and received constant sunshine at all hours of the day during summer. During spring and fall, it got varying amounts of sunlight, depending on how close it is to the next season. Clans frequently traveled this area since it did cover a decent span of the Vast Desert.
  • The Sacred Lands - The northern-most point was the brightest part of the asteroid, though it was assumed that might not have always been the case in the long distant past. There were several structures that were made and located in the Sacred Lands with no logical explanation. It was like the Earth equivalent to any inexplicable ancient structures, essentially remaining an eternal mystery. At the "Gateway" to the Sacred Lands, there was a large pale archway, seemingly made of pale stone or ivory. It led to a mountain that seemed to be made out of black stone that held a rainbow-sheen to it. The land itself held the most drastic heat and light, and if not properly prepared, an individual could have easily met their end in the Sacred Lands. At the top of the mountain, a matching archway stood, as well as a simplistic well-like structure made of the same material. The only person permitted to go to the Sacred Lands was the world's senshi, and the general population fiercely protected such a sacred tradition. Any stray foreigners that tried to find their way to the Sacred Lands would be greeted by very unfriendly Iridians.
  • NOTE - These features were more prone to be called by general "nicknames" rather than any sort of official sounding name.

The Native Iridians:
An actual look at the population of the asteroid reveals that a vast majority of the natives had darker skin, due to the extreme temperatures/amount of sunlight they were exposed to. However, any sort of hair color was found native to Iris. Just as many people had blonde hair as they did dark hair. There were fair skinned people in the population, and in this world they were rare, essentially being viewed by the people as exotic. Overall, they were seen as a very energetic race of people who prided themselves on hard work.

A general observation that was made, but could never really scientifically be explained was the fact that all natives of Iris had excellent color perception. This might not seem like something amazing, but with their bartering system, it was quite helpful in distinguishing whether something was the "real deal" (gold) versus a "cheap imitation" (some other lesser metal). It did take some training to teach the differences, but even with the most minimal training, an Iridian could see the differences upon a casual glance.

Social Hierarchy:
  • Senshi - Responsible for maintaining various sacred duties as well as maintaining good relations with the allied Asteroid worlds. Occasionally would receive direct orders from Royalty and was expected to follow through with any orders given. Functions outside of the Clan system and is deemed as a higher importance than even Royalty.
  • Royalty - Responsible for maintaining Foreign Exchange and Affairs. Due to the vast amount of foreign exchange the royals were expected to watch over, it left little to no room for managing local politics. Royalty was respected due to the vast amount of dedication it took to keep their world alive via foreign exchange. An individual could either be born into royalty or married into royalty. A married royal was expected to take on the same amount of responsibility as a born royal.
  • Clan Elder - The political leaders of the world. They were the eldest members of a family group and made all of the decisions for their Clan. The Clans themselves would be named after the respective Elder. The elder made all of the decisions for the group, their rulings never being questioned within the Clan itself. The elders were responsible for ensuring their Clan had enough necessities to survive during their travels, would lead the groups to finding any of the scant natural resources available, and if their water supplies ran low, lead their Clan back to the Port City. Most times the politics came across as personal squabbles between individual Clan Elders.
  • Clan - A vast majority of the society lived in nomadic family groups. These individuals lived in covered carts and wagons with their immediate family. They all were expected to have a trade which they specialized in, usually separated by the different immediate families. All members of a Clan were expected to work hard to ensure the survival of the whole group. It was very rare to find a lazy Iridian.
  • Port Traders - These were the individuals that for one reason or another decided to settle down in the Port City. They were considered the bottom of the social hierarchy due to their lack of family ties. Most Port Traders had no families, were unkempt, and were seen as the most cut-throat of traders in the society. They thrived off of trading with foreigners, essentially acting like vendors in a "tourist trap."

Intergalactic Politics: The Iridians greatly prided themselves upon being a neutral territory. Save for their alliances within the Asteroid belt, they were very careful about their interactions with other worlds. They would openly trade with all worlds, but outside of trade they were wary of any other sort of alliance. Such caution led to the asteroid declining the stationing of the knights from Earth upon their world. All peoples were welcome to visit and trade, but the Iridians preferred the old ways, and in a sense were afraid of the change any sort of alliance outside of the traditional Asteroid alliance would cause.

The Economy: There was no real currency on Iris. Everything was done on a barter system. Every family group usually had some sort of craft or trade they were masters of, with the adults training the children in these crafts/trades. Sometimes these trades would even be simple as a performance skill (juggling, acrobatics, etc.). There was relatively little problem when it came to trades between two natives. If a non-native was present, many times they could get caught if they were frauds. The only place where non-natives could be found frequently was in the Port. It was actually considered in bad taste to have more than one needed (to hoard). Most times, natives felt it would slow the individual and the family down if they kept more than they needed to just get by. It was rare for those who lived on Iris to hoard any wealth, since people felt it was a sign of weakness. The only individuals in the society who could potentially hoard were the Port Traders.
Exports:
  • Paint - The sands of asteroid Iris held their own secrets, allowing the natives of Iris to make the most complete spectrum of paint colors. The secret to the craft of making paint was held dear to all natives and heavily guarded. It was essentially the world's bread-and-butter, opening trade with many different worlds.
  • Nickel-Iron Metals - Considering how much of this there was on the surface of the asteroid, it generally makes sense for this to be something the asteroid specializes in. Most times it would be exported as the unrefined metal, but occasionally it would be refined/crafted and exported as well. It was not a very strong metal in comparison to others available.
  • Sand Crunchers (L) & Sand Munchers (R) - Two beasts of burden native to the asteroid of Iris, meant for heavy pulling and lifting. They did have a more "scientific" name, but the natives most commonly referred to them as Crunchers and Munchers. They were also relatively easy to take care of, for they ate different types of sands and dirt (depending on the surrounding) and did not require any water. Both species were domesticated by the Iridians. Where as the two species were commonly found together, the two species were not compatible when it came to breeding. Both Munchers and Crunchers usually produce 1 calf per breeding, though sometimes they would rarely produce 2 calves. Any more per breeding would be a great stress upon the mother. Crunchers had a very Camel-like appearance. They lacked actual ears, but had horns similar to giraffes. They had scruffy fur on several areas, including under the chin, behind the horns and along the shoulders. The scruff on the shoulder helped a passenger hold on while riding. Crunchers also had horse-like tails, which could be trimmed to make brushes. Unlike Camels from earth, Crunchers always had one hump of fat (never two). They averaged 9'6" in height and weigh approximately 1500 lbs. Crunchers were the louder eaters and the sturdier of the two species. Munchers were more Llama-like in appearance. They had significantly longer ears compared to the llamas from earth (an adaptation to the heat). They had strong prehensile tails and used this to help them pull things along that weighed much more than themselves. Munchers were smaller in stature compared to the Crunchers. They averaged 9'0" in height and weighed approximately 500 lbs. It is said that Munchers had a friendlier disposition. Munchers were considered more valuable since they had wool which was sheared and used to make a durable cloth.
  • Wool - As a result of the Sand Munchers being native to Iris, their wool was also a natural resource of sorts for the asteroid. The Munchers were sheared, and the wool was used to make all sorts of cloth. The cloth was very durable and frequently used to cover the carts the natives lived in. It was not used for clothing so much, but for protective wraps. The wool could be sent as a raw material to places with extreme cold or warm temperatures.
  • Brushes - Various brushes could be made from the tail hair of the Sand Crunchers. The hair was very stiff, but soft. Brushes for hair were common, but the most common practice was to pair paint brushes with the paint they bartered away.
  • Sand Root - A plant native to Asteroid Iris. Its claim to fame was the fact that it did not need any water and got the nutrients it needed via the sand and the sunlight. It was in season all year round, but would only grow in areas that had sunlight. Above ground, one could spot a patch of Sand Root by the dark silk (similar to cornsilk) in the sand. The root itself was edible and red-brown in color. Since it did not need any water, the edible portion of the plant was very tough, similar in quality to dried out meats (jerky). The flavor of the root was like a strange combination of vegetable jerky and sand. Though the flavor might not have been the most desirable, Sand Root was considered a staple food on the asteroid due to how nutrient-rich it was. It was customary for any clan, if they encountered a patch of Sand Root, to harvest the plant, but to replant a few smaller portions so that they would grow again. This was a natural resource that many clans would potentially fight over.
Imports:
  • Water - Asteroid Iris was a desert. Deserts lack in the water department. It was a precious resource that was worth a great amount. Many clans stocked up on water at the Port city before resuming their travels. In general, they would take imports of water from any of the asteroids, but Egeria was the main supplier for Iris due to the abundance of water on Egeria.
  • Oil - Import from Parthenope. Good for lighting fires during cold nights in the desert.
  • Ivory - Import from Parthenope. Could be used for crafting. Many times it was seen in jewelry and some structures in the Port City. Also a very important product used in the process of making paint.
  • Natural items - This is a rather open category of imports. Pretty much any natural item of an interesting color was a good import for Iridians. These items could then be used to make paint, which then could be bartered away for much rarer items. Plants, animal fur, stones, precious metals, all could easily be used to make paint and were valued as imports.

Asteroid ~Victoria
(Subject to tweaks)

Main Export: Geodes, milk, ???, ???
Main Imports: Beasts of Burden (Mammoths, Diggers, Sandmuchers, ???) , Metals, Fur, ???, ???

    FAQs about Victoria
        • It's Greek and Spartan inspired infrastructure decorates the larger cities among Victoria. While the more rural areas were cottages, grazing/crop lands, and the occasional geode mine.
        • Victorians came in all shapes, sizes and colors.
        • Victorians women were often cast as the lowest member of society, and even the highest ranking woman (Sailor Victoria) held little to no respect by the Victorian people.
        • Often they held games similar to that of the Olympics.
        • Since Victoria landscape often holds a lot of rocks so geodes can be found just about anywhere though they are often mined for in small areas to increase 'production'!
        • Victorians have a small assortment of animals, this list includes Falcons and Goats for grazing and milk, they also have a few smaller game animals.
        • Victoria is actually a very temperate land holding almost all seasons of weather.

    World Description:

Victoria's land was diverse in its landscape. Holding a Large center city with cobblestone roads and minimal technology (they basically had running water and that was about the extent of it). The center city was often the largest and most sought after place of business. Once a year for an entire Victorian month they would hold a grand ceremony similar in status to our Olympics. When these game were held all the vendors bustled to try and get a spot to sell their goods to those visiting the world.

Buildings ranged from small to large but the largest was the stadium and the amount of space it took to host the Victorian games. They allowed Men from other home worlds to participate in the games. Often the start of which would be held in the Center of the city. There was a large courtyard in front of the royal palace with a stage that would allow the King, head of the Royal family to announce the start of the games. Beside him would be Sailor Victoria their 'mascot', and the only Woman ever allowed anywhere near the field where the games were held.

Outside of the center city and away from the Victorian stadium, sprawled green country side, occasionally dotted with mines. The country side often housed farms or smaller and shanty looking towns. The Asteroid itself was fairly temperate in climate and it wasn't unusual for different sorts of weather to happen. It made a great place for farming crops; however it was not an export for the asteroid. Instead it was locally grown and for the most part kept, unless there was a dire need for outsiders to want the food grown by Victorians exporting wasn't a big venture. The farm lands also made great for animals, Victorians would raise exotic looking goats and small game critters for their milk and meats. Their goats' milk was one of the biggest exports especially among the asteroids as the fertile grass lands made for the best grazing ground and there was always an abundance of the milk since all farmers loved to raise the goats. Even in the small villages and towns almost everyone often had a family goat and falcon, when they couldn't have anything else.

The mines that occasionally dotted the country side only worked for one thing, Geodes. As this was the world's only means of currency mines were developed to find Geodes. Admittedly not the best form of currency with how heavy they were. However, they were great for trades and often used to barter for amounts of food from the Farmers, who then used the geodes to buy more seeds and animals as well as pay their dues to the city's repair funds.

The Victorian country side was also great for hunting smaller game animals, those that hadn't been domesticated often were hunted for pleasure by the royals, and for their meat by the commoners. The Flat lands with the occasional patch of trees made the hunt that much more exciting.

          'Important' Victorian Sites
        • Victorian Stadium - This is where the Victorian Games were Held annually.
        • Victorian City - The city held a lot of important people and the most wealthy of men. There was only one large city on Victoria. The city also acted as the main trading hub and 'port' for travelers from other homeworlds.
        • Victorian Vatican - Victoria's church, located in the heart of the city, the Victorian Vatican has the second largest open courtyard in the city. This is the second stop on the way to the Victorian games. While women were the lowest on the totem pole, the Victorian Church often preyed to the mother goddess.
        • Victorian Royal Mansion - Perhaps the oddest thing here is that the Victorian Royals did not have a Castle. In fact they had a Mansion. It was here that the opening ceremony for the games were held, as it had the largest courtyards. The Mansion is located just on the outskirts of town, opposite of the Stadium.

    Culture Description:

      The People -
The Victorian people mostly had skin complexions that were mostly olive in color. Also most of the people had darker shades of hair as well, it was rare to find people that were both fair haired and fair skinned naturally who were from Victoria.

      The Society -
Victorian society was old fashioned with a hierarchy, the Royal family typically were on top and in charge followed by the nobles, and then common men. The Women of the society where often the lowest on the totem pole; expected to cook, clean and do everyday chores the men considered beneath them. The only gender allowed to play in the Victorian games was males because of their superiority to women. Often those that lived in the cities would attend the festivities and those that farmed would bring their crops in for extra sales. The only woman that was high in the social status was Sailor Victoria, however she was still below the men.

            Victorian Society Hierarchy
          • Victorian Church Pope
          • Victorian Church Patriarchs
          • Victorian Royal Family
          • Victorian Church Archbishops
          • Victorian Aristocratic Men
          • Other Victorian Church Members
          • Victorian Craft smiths
          • Other Victorian Wealthy men
          • Commoner Men (lived on farms and small villages)
          • Sailor Victoria
          • Victorian Aristocratic Women
          • The rest of the Victorian Women

      The Economy -
The people living in the cities of Victoria all had a common "currency" often created from the Geodes found on Victoria, despite their heavy weight. They would use these pieces to buy food, water, and house hold needs. Those that lived in the rural farm areas would often trade their neighbors for their needs and save the small amounts of currency they had for trips to the cities.

City trips often only came once a year, when the Victorian games were held. Of course this often created a problem of having too many vendors with the same things and not enough people to buy them so there would often be skirmishes in between the vendors to try and get the lowest price, it wasn't uncommon for one buyer to have three or four sellers attempting to appeal to them.

            Exports
            • Geodes -
Geodes were one of the main exports for Victoria. The homeworld was almost over run with them and what wasn't used for currency was turned into an export to gain goods that they needed. A lot of the larger and rarer Geodes were often proposed for this because at times they were too large to just lug around anywhere, unless one had a beast of burden that could carry them.

            • Milk -
Milk was another important export for Victoria. The goats' milk was found to often last long enough for it to transport and make it to consumers and often was expected to be used within a day of receiving unless it was used to cook with. The milk was often used for trading of other foods as well as foreign and exotic foods.

            Imports
            • Beast of Burden -
They were imported from a few of the asteroid neighbors. Some of the beast of burden like the diggers was used in both the Victorian games and in the few mines they had, to dig tunnels or large areas for game activities such as swimming. Mammoths were imported for use in the Victorian games, often used to move stages and platforms and sometimes to fill in where the diggers had dug. They would make the transition from one game to another easier. Sandmunchers were often used to move the smaller carts that the mammoths were too large to deal with. They became a vital part of setting up vendors' area because often the booths were rolled away by the government and kept in a safer place until needed.

In totality there were very few beast of burden ever seen on Victoria, as most of the populace could not afford such a luxury.

            • Metals -
Victoria often imported Metals because while there may have been few on the Asteroid there wasn't enough to cover their needs. The metals were used in carts, barrels (to store milk), and in the games. A lot of the games actually couldn't've been possible if the Victorians hadn't had metal to create some of the objects used.

            • Fur -
While Victoria was a temperate land it still had it's cold nights and a cold season. The Furs were often used as blankets and sometimes clothes to help keep warm on the coldest nights.

            • ??? -

      The Politics -
Victorian politics often held a strange staggering tier. They had Royalty but Victorian Royalty was only for publicity and having a face/leader when there was a time of war. Royalty never made law of the lands or any other major decision without consulting their church first. The Rule actually belonged to a type of religious government rule, think sort of how a Catholic church is run then add a king for a figure head (please note the Victorian Church is NOT an actual Catholic church it's just managed in similar ways with how it handles choosing a leader and general order of leadership). The church of Victoria always had more authority than the king did.

The Aristocrats never seemed bothered by this, while the people living in the smaller villages and on farms often had issues with their government. Those living in the smaller areas and in smaller groups never could afford to pay off the church to leave them alone while the Aristocrats could just buy off the church. It was by no means a non-corrupt government when it came to taxing and being bought off for looking the other way. However, no one from the outside ever noticed how crappy the Victorian Politics were. Not even the other Asteroids, as no one spent enough time there to ever see what was going on.

      The Recreation -
On Victoria there are two types of recreation, which sadly were almost always for the men. The Victorian games often held once a year always had those training to be in it. They were the higher classed Victorians who didn't need to farm or hunt in order for them or their family to survive. While its hard work for those involved it often made for a great spectators sport for those in the crowd, (well almost everyone in the crowd. Victoria was always jealous that she ended up stuck on a pedestal as the Game's 'guardian'.)

The second type of recreation on Victoria is small game hunting. From small deer like creatures to animals similar to rabbits Victorians could always hunt for game. Most Victorians had at least one family Falconry master, who would lead the hunts and use his bird as the blood hound and/or weapon depending on the game they were hunting. While farmers and those living in the more rural areas hunt game animals for food, the higher socialites often hunted for game and bragging rights. They would occasionally mount animals if they thought the catch would impress their friends or beat their friend's hunt capture. Unfortunately though Victorians never used their game animals for furs or trading; if they weren't mounted often times the fur would be discarded as unusable and undesirable; mainly due to the damage caused by the falcons when they attack the game animal.

FAQs About Hug-bell

World Description:
The world of Hugbell is thriving with life. The whole world seemed to be like a wonderland full of toys. The brightly colored buildings bustling with people; though they seemed to be made of plastic blocks and popsicle sticks. The ground was soft and springy, every step felt like walking on a cloud. It's climate was temperate and the animals almost looked as if they were moving plush toys.

The grandiose castle seemed like something a story book, bright purples and blues. When walking inside everything seemed to be made of crush velvet or brightly colored materials. Despite the happy colors nothing ever seemed to clash in the kingdom, as it wasn't hard to find a decorator to design the living spaces.

The trees here had cotton-like plumage and the bushes as well, flowers also seem to be made of plush velvet and some might possibly even squirt water as a defense mechanism. The world was of comfort that was here for anyone that wished to stay. Everything this world was of toys and comfort, even down to some of the native food. Animals while being normal things like dogs and cats; they looked like gingham dogs and calico cats. Often plush looking bears help with the harder tasks and animals that are imported in from other, friendly worlds.

Even the pictures and signs displayed were stitched quilts.

Culture Description:

Asteroid – Requiem

Abstract
The asteroid Requiem is known to many as the graveyard planet, a small asteroid layered with corpses. People - particularly notable persons - throughout the White Moon Kingdom were welcome to bury their deceased on the planet of Requiem. Those who were buried on laid to rest on Requiem's surface live on in the afterlife in the underworld below the asteroid's crust layer - although only the Senshi of Requiem or other significant wielders of magic may cross through to the Underworld. Inside the Mausoleum of Requiem, on the Surface, people may contact the deceased buried in the planet. In order to protect the Underworld, the Senshi of Requiem is tasked with the important role of guarding the Underworld Gates.

World Information
Surface of Requiem. The Surface of Requiem is a seemingly largely deserted planet. The ground is rich in dirt and soil, but little grass or flora grows here without being imported. The natural flora of the planet is largely poisonous in nature, useful as potent toxins. In the ground it is common to find bones and various remains or corpses sticking out of the ground as some burials were not done properly or burial sites had otherwise become over populated. There is one prominent small city and various small homes spread out of those who have left the city's walls - but these are far and few between.

Key Locations.
The City of Requiem. The great City of Requiem is a walled in city which holds the Royal Castle and various small homes. Only a small percent of Requiemites live outside of these walls, but the population itself is very small. The Royal Castle - where the royal family lives - is in the center of town and smaller homes surround it until you reach the walls. There is only one entrance to the City of Requiem.
The Mausoleum of Requiem. The Mausoleum of Requiem is a small chamber on the surface in which the dead can rise up to interact with surface-dwelling visitors, but the dead may not leave the walls of the mausoleum. Due to this nature, the Mausoleum of Requiem is one of the largest tourist draws for the planet.
The Underworld Gates. The Underworld Gates are a passage way for the surface-dwelling visitors to reach the Underworld. Only the Senshi of Requiem or other significant wielders of magic may cross through the Underworld Gates and access the Underworld.
The Gatekeeper's Tower. The Gatekeeper's Tower is the home of the Senshi of Requiem - it is the Senshi's duty to guard the tower as it watches over and serves as the passageway to the City of Requiem, the Mausoleum of Requiem, and the Underworld Gates. It is a mandatory checkpoint to access any of these destinations.

Underworld of Requiem. The planet of Requiem is hollow, and underneath its surface level is the empty space that is the Underworld. In the Underworld, gravity reverses itself so that the undead are walking on the opposite end of the surface. Above them, instead of sky, is a vast distance of emptiness that ends with more surface that they can walk on and access - either by walking the circumference of the planet or simply leaping up and floating across the vacuum space in spectral form to where they want to go.

Key Locations.
The Underworld City. The underworld of Requiem is a city in itself, although all locations are underground. Where you were buried on the surface is your home on the opposite side of the surface.

Culture Information
People. The people of Requiem - known as Requiemites - are a small, numbered people with a population size of roughly five-hundred. The culture is Victorian-Gothic in terms of style, and maintain a level of tame propriety is a must on the Surface. There is a great interest and passion for the macabre, which influences much of the society's art, architecture, and fashion. In the Underworld, those who were buried appear as translucent, transparent spectral beings of their former selves. As the residents of the Underworld are all dead, there are no responsibilities to ground a moral compass, so the deceased treat the Underworld as a permanent spring-break vacation in the afterlife.

Society. Those who are closer or trusted most by the royal family are treated as nobility, while those who are distant or have little merit or talent to contribute to the society are regarded as peasants. However, there is some mobility as a talented peasant can easily work his way into nobility, and a noble who falls from grace may find himself tossed into peasantry.
Societal Hierarchy. The Royal Family is the top layer of Requiem society, involved in major domestic political issues and managing the economy. However, the Senshi is not far below the Royal Family, serving as an interplanetary ambassador, speaker of the people to royalty on domestic issues, and protector of the planet's valuable sites. Nobility are citizens who are close with the royal family and are treated to more proper and formal burials than peasants, who hold equal rights but no benefits of society. Those who live outside of the city walls are considered to be banished, hold no rights, and are not welcome to pass through the Gatekeeper's Tower.

Economy. There is very little life and activity on the asteroid of Requiem, confined to once city lead by a monarchy. There is little currency to go around, most held by the royal family or nobility. In terms of interplanetary economy, the asteroid is viewed as a tourist site as well as an interplanetary cemetery.
Primary Exports. Toxic Flora
Primary Imports. Corpses, Tourism

Politics. The Royal Family is the head of the political system on Requiem, handling domestic and economic issues. However, the Senshi of Requiem serves as the planet's ambassador who reaches out to other planets.

Recreation. There are rumors that the Underworld is a fantastic city with no responsibilities and simply partying all the time, so a popular recreational activity on Requiem is suicide.

Wonder – Osum of Ganymede

Abstract
The wonder of Osum is a city much like the Earth city of Venice, tiny islands linked together by bridges, but is built into a canyon. The bridges link upwards as well, into the caves. The city itself is known as one of the several fashion capitals of the planet and is where many fashion designs for the planet of Ganymede hail from.

Physical Information
Osum. The wonder of Osum is a small city built in between walls of a canyon on Ganymede with a large river – the Osum River - streaming through it. Inside the canyon and on the river, are various very tiny islands that were linked together by bridges. On the islands small homes and shops were built – an overall appearance much like Venice but built into a canyon. Caves in the canyon were also utilized as locations, with bridges and stairs linking them together, and linked to the islands below as well. An elevator system was also built to reach the top of a canyon. The elevator meets in the middle of a bridge that joins the two edges of the canyon together.

Key Locations.
The House of Osum. The House of Osum is the fashion designing workshop and home of the Knight of Osum. There are many fashion designers throughout the city, but the House of Osum is occasionally tasked with creating designs for Princess or Queen of Ganymede.

Culture Information
People. The population of Osum is small, with roughly one hundred residents. Due to the high steeps and design of the city, it is not built for a high population. Few families choose to raise their children here, instead the city is mostly inhabited by young adults who are looking to immerse themselves in the world of fashion. The people and fashions coming from Osum are refered to as Osumian.

Society. Much like the society throughout Ganymede, a major focus in the city of Osum is fashion and beauty. The people of Osum took this very seriously, and due to their small size became quite elitist. It is said that those who are found to be too ugly for Osum’s aesthetics were asked to leave else be thrown in the river.
Societal Hierarchy. The royal family of Ganymede are of course in the top command, but within the city the Knight of Ganymede is treated with much respect by the citizens. The citizens are valued as equals to each other and treated with great respect.

Economy. The city of Osum lives in great prosperity and wealth, and makes frequent trades with other cities throughout Ganymede as well as throughout the solar system.
Primary Exports. Fashion
Primary Imports. Dyes, Lace, Other Tailoring Materials

Politics. There are minimal politics to be dealt with within the city of Osum, although the Knight of Osum oversees all issues directly and reports them to royalty if necessary.

Recreation. Aside from creating fashion designs, there are frequent fashion shows held in Osum using the longest bridge on the river as a runway. There are also a small handful of tea rooms, small art galleries, and wine bars that create their own youthful night life.

Asteroid - Leto

Landscape
The world of Leto was primarily jungle- heavy with tall trees, water and greenery. Unless you knew the land extremely well, it was incredibly easy to get lost as there were no marked roads or major cities. It was almost as if the very nature of the asteroid was your enemy, forcing you out.

Landmarks
There really aren't any. Since the asteroid thrives on their ability to blend in with their surroundings, the Letians primarily live in trees. Their huts are above ground for safety and there is no true 'major city' on the asteroid. If there was, you'd be able to see it pretty easily wouldn't you? While the royal family owns a very prosperous, large area of land in the jungles of Leto, there is not much else that is well-known to outsiders.

The People
Most Letians that actually lived on the Asteroid were woman (75% women to 25% men). The Letian women were abnormally tall (abnormal to average, human standards), and incredibly well-versed in battle and self-defense. They were the soldiers, the protectors and the leaders of Letian society. Men were lesser beings, far and few in between, and essentially only kept for breeding purposes- only the biggest, strongest, best looking men kept around. The Letian women typically prefer the company of the greater sex (who wouldn't?), and will kill any male they deem unworthy of them and their world. The women wear very little clothing, and anything they do wear is of natural colors (think greens, browns, tans, camoflage- very neutral). They are skilled in archery and using spears for hunting. Quite often they hunt and tame large, native jungle cats as their companions and hunting partners. Each woman paints markings onto their bodies to denote rank and tribe. Think badass Amazonian women and you have the typical Letian!

Exports
Men
Animal Skins
Plants for poisons

Imports
Weaponry
Glass
Paint

Recreation
Letians hunt and kill for sport. There really isn't a whole lot to do on the Asteroid besides that.

Asteroid ~ Flora

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.WORLD User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

The asteroid Flora is a large, bright main belt asteroid. Flora is known to be a popular vacation spot to many as it is Spring all year round, boasting vibrant plant life. The landscape of Flora was mostly that of a grassland, filled with blossoming flowers and fruit trees. Many flowers of different colors and sizes grow on Flora, and it was said to possess the prettiest flowers.

❀ KEY LANDMARKS
  • THE TEMPLE OF FLORA: A highly sacred place on Flora, the Temple is a large building made of white marble, resembling ancient Greek Temples, decorated with intricate floral designs. Within the Temple is the Statue of Flora. She is depicted in a flowing dress, her hair braided with numerous flowers. X X The base of the statue has many flowers carved into it, and fresh flowers were offered daily on the altar. Only the front part of the Temple where the Statue is, is open to the public, as the rest of the Temple serves as the home for the Priests and also, more importantly, the Patron and the Vernalis. There are guards around the Temple to ensure that security is not compromised.

  • GARDENS OF FLORA: A huge garden connected to the Temple where the flowers of Flora are tended to and where the rarest can be found. Many Flusia live here as well.

  • THEATRUM FLORALIS: The Theatrum is a huge amphitheater, oval in shape, and used to stage plays and dances. It is a main event and draw during the Festival of Floralia.

❀ PEOPLE

The people of Flora were called Floran (plural: Florans) and were generally spirited and outgoing. They were mostly given flower based names. They wore flowing robes as clothing; togas, cloaks, etc. Elaborate designs and bright colors were favored.

❀ SOCIETY

The Florans depended mostly on magic and not technology, only utilizing some imported from Mau to make harvesting fruits easier. Their magic were mostly used on flowers; keeping them fresh and vibrant even when they were brought to other worlds until the magic wore out.

The furniture was carved out of wood, decorated with the traditional carvings of flowers and vines. The higher your status was, the more delicate the carvings on your furniture usually was.

Architecture resembled Ancient Roman architecture, though the Temple, on the other hand, resembled Ancient Greek temples.

❀ ECONOMICS

Flora was generally known as a tourist spot and functioned as such. One of the popular souvenirs was the Flowerglobe; where flower arrangements were shrunk and placed into glass globes along with magic dust to keep the flowers alive. When shaken, tiny flower petals would fall upon the scene inside the globe.

  • MAIN EXPORTS: Honey, Beeswax, Flowers, Fruits
  • MAIN IMPORTS: Concrete, Glass, Meat, Technology

❀ ANIMALS

Flora was also home to pollinating animals, especially bees. Beekeeping was a flourishing business in Flora as Floran honey was said to be one of the best in the entire galaxy. Flora was also known for creatures who made Flora its home; the Flusia.

The Flusia were light delicate birds which resembled hummingbirds of the Earth. Their plumage resembled that of the flowers on Flora; they pollinated the flowers according to their respective colors. Another distinguishing feature was a small leaf on the top of their heads which resembled a miniature version of the leaves of the plant they pollinated.

It was forbidden for the Flusia to be exported outside of Flora as it was difficult to maintain them without the honey from the flowers of Flora. The only other known place to have Flusia was the Zodiac Castle, as flowers in the Castle gardens were grown from Floran seeds.

❀ POLITICS

Flora was essentially under the rule of Queen Chronos of the Zodiac, the Lady of the Seasons. The Florans were loyal to Queen Chronos and the Zodiacs, and therefore also had a good relationship with the Moon Kingdom. As Florans were peace loving, they did not have any enemies and generally welcomed anyone whom wished to take a vacation on the asteroid. Their known alliances were also the asteroid Boreas, and the moons Neso and Carpo.

IMPORTANT FIGURES
(In order of hierarchy)
  • PATRON: The patron of Flora was identified upon birth by the mark of Flora upon her head. Once identified, the baby and her family were brought to live in the Temple of Flora. Young Flora was taught by the priests of her heritage, responsibilities and powers. Florans gathered at the Temple of Flora once it was time to send their patron off to the Zodiac Castle, giving her their blessings and farewells.

  • VERNALIS & THE FLORA COUNCIL: The Flora Council was made up of distinguished Priests of the Temple of Flora. The Council made decisions by discussion and voting, though the Vernalis, the Head Priest, had the most say. The Vernalis is seen as the Leader of Flora and was elected by the Flora Council each year on the second day of the Festival of Floralia. This was to take the opportunity of Flora's return to seek her approval of the new Vernalis. It was not uncommon for the same Vernalis to be elected over a few years, if he or she were to prove capable at the job.

The Council generally wore robes of white accentuated with green and pink flowery designs. The Vernalis wore robes that were completely white; save for the small pink flowers with green vines embroidered around the rim of the hood. The symbol of the Vernalis was the Fleur de Lis.

  • TEMPLE OF FLORA: Young Florans who wished to serve their patron were enrolled there and were taught to be Priests. The Priests not only cared for the Temple and the sacred Statue of Flora, but also played an important part in managing the asteroid itself. White was a color only the Priests could wear, and as they went up in rank, their robes would get whiter.

❀ FESTIVAL OF FLORAILIA
(April 27 to May 3)

The festival was a seven-day festival to honor Flora, who was treated like a goddess by the Florans. It is only during this period itself that Flora returned. Her stay ranged from the night of the first day to the last day, which was called the Florae.

During the Festival, Florans were decked out in bright clothes and flowers. Flowers were not only being used as garlands, necklaces, and such, but also to decorate the buildings and especially the Temple of Flora.

The start of the Festival began with the planting of seeds, representing fecundity. Many flocked to the Temple of Flora to make offerings of honey and milk to the Statue of Flora. The first night when Flora returned is when the Floralia Parade was held. The Parade consisted of floats decked out in flowers and Flora seated upon the last float. There are also nightly feasts during the Festival, and the best dishes of Flora are brought out, including meat cooked with flowers and honey.

The rest of the Festival was populated with plays put on in the Theatrum Floralis and many booths set up for carnival games.

Many people celebrated their birthdays during the Festival, as it was a popular period of time and believed to bring good luck to families.

During Florae, another Parade was held, this time in the day, with a life-sized float of Flora made out of flowers, to bid farewell to their patron as she returned to the Zodiac Castle.

❀ SPRING/VERNAL EQUINOX

The Florans also celebrated the Spring Equinox, praying for the safety of not only their patron, but for Queen Chronos and the Zodiac Soldiers as well. They would light candles made out of beeswax in the Temple and in their homes as well, as a symbol of their prayers.

This celebration was generally smaller and more solemn than the Floralia festival.

Political and Cultural Information
The World – Ganymede is the seventh moon of Jupiter (the third of the four Galileans), and the largest moon to orbit the 9 solar planets. It is a picturesque world of extravagantly cultivated gardens, dense forests rife with wildlife, glittering fresh-water streams, rolling hills and sweeping valleys. Vegetation is lush, comprised of a broad range of wild flora and domesticated fruits and vegetables, and the wide, green fields of the Ganymedean countryside provide ample feeding grounds for the moon’s various breeds of livestock. The weather is pleasant and the skies generally clear—except in the springtime, when storms pound the land with heavy rains. Otherwise, the summers are mild, the winters are crisp (but far from overwhelmingly cold), and the harvests are generally plentiful, thriving in Ganymede’s mild, temperate climate.

The People – True to the grandiose size of their moon, the Ganymedean people are a prideful and competitive bunch. They encourage trade relations not for any severe need of goods and supplies, but because they are quite fond of anything extravagant and/or exotic. They have a lust for knowledge and luxury goods. Everything on Ganymede, especially within the major cities, has to be flashy and grand. The commoners are typically a more modest sort and go about their days in moderate peace, but Ganymede is also home to an ambitious bourgeoisie, and Ganymedean high society prids itself on its elegance and splendor.

Wonder — Valhalla

The Fortress

The stronghold of Valhalla held within its walls military prowess and knowledge. While Jupiter itself was generally peaceful, there was still a need for soldiers, whether it be making sure the population of the planet was kept under control and law breaking down to a minimum, or to provide security for the Princess and other dignitaries.

Standing high on the edge of one of the Jovian seas, Valhalla rose into the sky, its full height rarely seen below the dense clouds. What could be seen were thick, stone walls, carefully laid to withstand the might of Jupiter’s storms. The fortress was built to last, and over its history, there has only been need for minimum repairs.

The Entrance Hall

Visitors to Valhalla were lead through the town surrounding it, to a magnificent carved stone gate and drawbridge, which lowered only with the help of guards on either side. There were other ways of getting inside Valhalla’s walls of course, but this way was official.

The hall itself could easily fit the town just outside its gates. The main ceiling was two hundred feet high, and the nave was eight hundred by four hundred. On either side, sectioned off by thick columns were aisles about fifty feet wide. A transept intersected the nave, and the ceiling rose three hundred more feet.

Its grandiose scale was built to impress and would look somewhat similar to gothic Cathedrals on Earth.

The Labyrinth

Below the drawbridge, at the base of the fortress was another entrance. Only officially used for a new knight of Valhalla’s induction, the labyrinth itself was dark and dangerous, filled with puzzles and challenges that would test one’s worth.

It made an effective defense against intruders.

Lighting

Many of the windows in Valhalla weren’t windows at all. Thick, transparent bricks were built into the walls, providing light and protection from the elements, but a distorted view of the outside world. Imperfections in the glass broke the light, setting the inside of the fortress in different colors.

Another light source was the stone the fortress was built of itself, only it was rather picky in whom it wanted to respond to. Some of the local myth claims that the green light that appears for those it deems worthy is actually the souls of soldiers from ages past. Others say they are stone nymphs, and even others... claim it’s just a trick of the eyes — at least where the stone is concerned.

The chandeliers light sconces were not outfitted with candles, but with clear, green crystals. The crystals, in the same respect as the stone, only lit on certain occasions. Such as if they are asked to, or if someone passes by. The crystals were not as fickle as the stone.

Asteroid – Aster

Abstract
The asteroid Aster is a popular stop for recreational tourism, but does not have the best reputation. It is viewed much like stereotypical depiction of present-day Amsterdam, a vacation hotspot for euphoria and prurient interests. While this is looked down upon by some, it is most looked down upon for its dangers including a one week period every eighteen months in which tourists are cannibalized, and throughout the year tourists are rumored to be kidnapped and cannibalized by a small but notable cult that lives on the planet. But otherwise Aster is tons of fun, and a little cannibalism never hurt anyone.

World Information
The Sunflower Asteroid. The vast majority of the asteroid Aster is filled with sunflowers, their stalks ranging in a variety of heights. While some sunflowers are just inches tall, others reach as high as twelve feet tall. There are few ponds and lakes, and small patches without any sunflowers, but these are far and few between. The sunflowers on Aster, when under the sun’s warmth, naturally emit mysterious pollens that have a variety of effects including euphoria, healing, and suppression of needs so that one does not need to worry about hunger or thirst. It is nearly always sunny on Aster, with nighttime lasting just six hours during which the sunflowers retain most of their warmth. However, for a one-week period of darkness every eighteen months known as the Dark Season, the sunflowers cool down and these pollens do not emit.

Key Locations.
Village of the Sun. The Village of the Sun is the largest and most notable village of Aster. It hosts a population of six hundred Asterians, and is the location of the Temple of the Sun.
The Temple the Sun. The Temple of the Sun is the home of the Asterian Sun Cult, and the home of the Senshi of Aster, who also serves as the High Priest of the Sun. The temple itself is a large, trapezoidal platform made of stone and overlooks the Village of the Sun. On the surface at the top of the Temple is a massive carving of a sunflower face. During rituals, the High Priest would stand in the center of the face of the sunflower as the worshippers circled around in the petals.
Village of the Dark. The Village of the Dark is a small, but very notable village of Aster, hosting a population of just seventy Asterians who follow the Cult of the Dark. It is considered the rival village of the Village of the Sun. The Village of the Dark has few sunflowers surrounding it.

Culture Information
People. The Asterian people are split into two groups – the Cult of the Sun and the Cult of the Dark. The vast majority of Asterians are members of the Cult of the Sun, who worship the sun and its blessings, including the pollens that emit from the sunflowers when warmed by the sun’s glow. They are known as a jovial, hedonistic people who without the need for food or water outside of indulgent purposes view that they may live their lives without responsibility. They are known for throwing wild celebrations every night. On the other hand, the Cult of the Dark views this behavior as a distraction from finding any true purpose or greater calling in life, and lives distant from sunflowers so they can live with sober minds.

When the Dark Season arrives and the sunflowers lose their warmth so no pollens are emitted, the Asterians grow wildly hungry – more than a non-Asterian visiting the planet – and resort to cannibalism as it is the only thing that would appease their extreme hunger. The tourists are typically the first to be eaten, followed by the heaviest or meatiest of Asterians. While both the Cult of the Sun and the Cult of the Dark suffer from this struggle and try to prepare, the Cult of the Dark is most successful at this due to their aversion from the sunflower pollens to begin with. They do, however, practice cannibalism year round, kidnapping tourists as game, but have better portion control during the Dark Season.

Society. There is no social class on Aster, as the Cult of the Sun has no sense of responsibility to divide them, and the Cult of the Dark practices communalism. However, there is a Royal Leader of each cult who is highly-respected by their cult.

Economy. There is no domestic currency on Aster, but the planet does trade with others.
Primary Exports. Medicinal Herbs (Healing Pollens), Recreational Drugs (Euphoric Pollens), Sunflower Stalks, Oil, Seeds, Petals
Primary Imports. Tourism, Food, Wine, Liquor

Politics. There is a small political system on Aster to maintain balance and order between the two cults. In each cult is a Royal Leader, who serves as a representative of their cult. The Royal Leader of the Sun (The Sun King) and the Royal Leader of the Dark (The Dark King) work together and make all important decisions on their own, although the Senshi of Aster intervenes only to prevent outbreak of war or violence. Although the Senshi also serves as the High Priest of the Sun (or of the Dark, if awoken from Cult of the Dark), they must remain bipartisan. It is the Senshi of Aster’s responsibility to serve as ambassador and handle diplomatic affairs with other planets, with counsel from the Sun King and Dark King.

Recreation. Aster is a largely recreational planet. The Cult of the Sun Asterians live every moment of every day, outside of the Dark Season, in a mode of hedonistic celebration with no cares or responsibility. The High Priest of the Sun watches over and protects them, and they worship the sun twice a day – sunrise and sunset. Sunrise is welcomed with celebrated with dancing and a purely indulgent feast with liquor, while sunset is celebrated with sexual merriment. The Cult of the Dark has no such celebrations, but have a small dancing ritual when they prepare a body to be cannibalized. That said, most tourists do not choose to interact with the Cult of the Dark.

Grus
(will be updated as plots go along)

World

Land Description/Flora:
Grus is covered in plants, large and small. There is always some sort of lower in bloom year round, and in every color imaginable. Tiny blue flowers ring trees, equally small yellow ones weave out of stout green shrubs that produce their own red roses-like blooms. But all of these pale in comparison to the "Red Feather Fern"

The Red Feather Fern is in fact, green most of the year. But at the end of the summer season, the large fern leaves turn different shades of red, though they tend to err on the darker side. A cluster of flowers rises a foot or so out of the base of the plant, and white flowers about the size of a hand bloom. Their petals are soft and paper thin, though they are difficult to tear. They also shimmer, as if the petals are covered in glitter. The edges are serrated and the whole petal looks similar to a feather.

Weather:
The climate of Grus is very much that of a rainforest. It is humid, and sunny for around 9 months of the year, with an insanely wet monsoon season the last 3 months. There are many large trees and a vast amount of undergrowth in a myriad of colors.

Fauna:

Culture

People:
The people of Grus are very welcoming and merry. Most of them have some sort of artistic talent that they like to explore in their free time, and the walls of their houses are filled with fruits of these labors as well as gifts from other people. As a people Grucians love color, and tend to collect things that are bright. At night there is often music playing, and anyone is welcome to find the person playing and join in if they wish. The skin color between Grucians varies, though most have darker hair due to the recessive nature of the light hair gene. Their overall height is shorter than other planets; this enables them to balance easier on tree branches.

Homes:
The people of Grus live in treehouses. Each family has their home tree and build their house to fit their needs. Some trees may have a single level of living space, while others have three or four to accommodate larger families or workshops and observatories. There is no “standard” for building your treehouse; if you want a rope ladder leading up to the next level, or simply a hole in the ground to jump down from, it’s your choice. So no treehouse is exactly the same, though they all have an outer ring of boards that act as a patio, and a walkway. Treehouses are connected by rope bridges. All have at least one way to reach the earth where their farms are located among the trees. Some treehouses also have garden plots built into them, so they can take advantage of the increase in sun higher up.

Important Grucian Sites:

Celebrations:

The Candle Festival lasts for three days and happens after the rainy season, when everything is still damp and won't catch fire. Usually around Earth Christmas. The weather is always pretty warm. All of the walkways are lit with candles suspended in lanterns, or sometimes stuck to poles. All of the tree houses put a candle lantern outside of their house. If it's lit, visitors are welcome to come in. Grucians make food and travel from tree house to tree house, popping in on neighbors, sharing food and exchanging news that had cropped up while the rain poured down and visitors couldn't be found. This is also a time for lovers to give small gifts, usually made from the wax from melted candles from the festival.

The Role of Sailor Grus

On Grus: The Grucian court believed that only with good international ties could Chaos be contained. So it wasn't uncommon for a newly appointed Sailor Grus to spend time ranging from a week to a couple months on other planets. The purpose of this was of course to make friends, spread goodwill and learn about other cultures. It was also not unheard of for other senshi candidates, or even established senshi to come and spend some time on Grus. Children or young adults were especially welcome because the Grucian court believed that children are more open to new things, and have yet to close their eyes to the ways of other people.

Asteroid ~ Irene

Plural/Possessive: Irenian
Main Exports: Silk, oil, ceramics, dyes, exotic birds, ???
Main Imports: Metals, beasts of burden, medicines, ???, ???

World Information: Irene consists of two distinct areas. The asteroid itself has very restricted access, and most of it consists of undeveloped land and old temples and manors of the Irenian stewards. The vast majority of residents live and work on the floating islands that surround the asteroid. The islands themselves are densely packed with apartment complexes for refugees, though each island has its own unique style created by its residents.

The Floating Islands: The floating islands are actually portions of the asteroid that were lost during a collision with another space object long, long ago. The fragments were retrieved by mages and tethered to the body of the asteroid, so that they remained separate yet within Irene’s atmosphere and gravity. They range in size, with the larger ones being used as cities and smaller ones functioning as more rural villages or even particularly large homes or companies. Each island is a miniature subculture, influenced by the residents, though they all have certain commonalities in that they all share the melting pot vibe mixed with bits of Irenian heritage.
[descriptions of important islands/cities go here]

The Irenian Temples:

The Gilded Manors:

The Untouched Land:

Culture Information: Irenian culture is a mixture, with all of the immigrants who live there mixing their own heritage with the natives. Because of this, there has been a call to preserve ancient Irenian culture before it completely disappears. The asteroid itself is practically a museum slash national park, with very few residences, and thus has a bit of a “ghost town” vibe. The islands, however, are full of all manner of people from all over the galaxy, and that much is evident as soon as one sets foot on one of the floating cities. While the people themselves tend to vary, as much by their birthplace as their current circumstances, there is a constant feeling of welcoming and support, and newcomers are often unable to go more than a day without receiving an invitation to dinner, or an offer for a tour of the area.

The Irenians: Just as there are two distinct geographical areas, there are also two distinct classes. The vast majority of residents are immigrants from other worlds, who came seeking asylum from war or persecution. For most of them, Irene is only a pit stop where they can recover and seek a permanent home. However, there are many who decide to stay, settling on Irene and planting their roots. Because of the constant shift in population, as well as the fact that these inhabitants come from all over the galaxy, there are no predominant features that set them apart.

The minority class consists of the native Irenians, those born on the islands or, much more rarely, on the asteroid itself. In theory, all native Irenian citizens are equal, though there are certain members of society who believe that only those born on the asteroid, whose bloodlines can be traced back through history, are qualified to bear the title. Native Irenians are all educated in Irenian history, and are charged with preserving it, whether they end up doing so officially or not. They are the only ones who are able to work on the asteroid, maintaining the landmarks and records there. Otherwise, they have the same rights as immigrant Irenians, and many choose to live and work on the islands, feeling more comfortable with the modern mixed culture than stuck on the asteroid with a bunch of ancient relics. Because marriage between Irenians and immigrants is common, there are few genetic traits they possess, though more “pureblooded” Irenians tend to have dark hair and smaller than the norm (averaging about 5’ across genders, with petite proportions).

Asteroid - Toutatis

Landscape
Toutatis is a world of perpetual darkness, covered mostly by thick forests filled with nightmarish creatures large and small. Many strange and dangerous plants fill the landscape as well. It is an easy place to get lost or use for hiding if you do not wish for people to find you. If you can deal with running for your life most of the time. The temperature on Toutatis is cold, but not snowy except for in higher elevations. It is not recommended that you run around in shorts and thin shirts. Generally it is warmer inside the city where heat generating objects are used.

Key Landmarks
Toucro - The main city on Toutatis. It is large and expansive. The central hub of everything that happens on the world and where most of the population lives. Surrounded by a thick, high wall to keep all the horrible creatures that roam the forests out.

At the center is the palace where the Toutan Royals reside high upon a craggy mountain. The palace can be seen for miles as it sits above everything else. Towering spires made of black stone, it is the center piece of the city.

Around it are the homes and businesses of the Toutan people. Buildings are situated to spiral out in a circular type fashion for easy navigation and to conserve on space.

Creeptian Forest - The forest that surrounds the city and entirely covers the world. It is filled with dangerous and horrific creatures large and small. It is a veritable death trap for those who are not familiar with the forest or it's creatures.

Many of the plants that grow in the forest have evolved to eat meat because of the lack of sunlight. Some more docile plants have evolved a symbiotic relationship with them. Though do not be fooled by these seemingly harmless plants. They need to eat too. If their fellow isn't eating then they are not getting the nutrients they need to survive. So you never know when an innocent looking vine might grab you by the leg and toss you into the waiting mouth of its companion plant.

There are few though that are brave enough to live out here. You might actually find yourself running into someone, literally. Because you or them might be running for your lives. People who live in the forest though are generally hard to find if you go looking for them. They live in the forest for a reason. They don't want people finding them.

The People
About half of the Toutan population are native born while the other half are people who have come to live on Toutatis. Making it largely a transplant world.

Native Toutans are generally pale skinned and have pale colored eyes fostered through generations of living with the lack of sunlight. There eyes are sensitive to extreme light, so when they go off world they generally wear some sort of eye protection.

While not openly friendly to new people, if you can win a Toutan's loyalty and trust it is for a life time. Scorn them and you will be black listed.

Social Hierarchy
The Hierarchy on Toutatis is small and limited. There are the Royals, those appointed by the Royals to handle specific things, the Senshi then the regular people. Your standing with people is how you present yourself to them. If someone doesn't like you then its because of something you did not because of your social standing. Someone who may have lots of things will still rub elbows with someone who may have very little at the local bar. No one really cares what you own but what you contribute to society.

Toutans are a take care of your own problems kind of society. You handle your own business unless it effects the people as a whole. Then you may draw the eye of enforcement. Flat out murder is an exception, but there are fairly grey lines when it comes to that. A man who murders his wife and kids would be executed on sight. A man who kills a thief for stealing his goods is seen as doing society a favor and stopping future crime. Regardless of the thief's reasons.

Economy
Toutatis economy is built mainly on a trade/barter system. There is no actual currency so you could trade goods or services for whatever you would like. If you have nothing to trade/barter with or you have racked up a trade debt, you can work out a contract of indentured servitude for a specific amount of time. You and the other party would need to contact a contract accountant to set up the terms and conditions.

Alternatively, you can submit yourself to indentured servitude if you cannot find work either. You would be taken care of during your time, given a place to sleep and food to eat. It may seem like slavery to some but it is better than the alternative.

Politics
There is little in the way of politics on Toutatis. Generally the Royal family and those appointed to handle such things are left to make the decisions for the good of the people. The people have very little say in what is done. Protesting can usually end up with people missing or dead.

Toutatis tends to be Neutral to most other worlds as negative relations mean that the world looses out on goods or services. Like it's people, loyalty and friendship is not given freely but must be worked for.

Recreation
Most people on Toutatis tend to entertain themselves. There is hunting for the avid hunter out in the forests. You can hire groups to take you out there on expeditions as they generally know where it's best to find certain creatures if you have anything specific in mind. When they aren't leading people around on expeditions they are generally trapping creatures for Export anyway.

There is the Colosseum where you can go watch people fight people or people fight animals. Its a very Gladiatorial recreation filled with a lot of blood and death. Generally people who are fighting in the Colosseum are criminals anyway so no one really cares about ethics here.
