The foreign fox took a moment to enjoy the strange new lands she was calling home. She had been walking for so long, it was finally time to enjoy her surroundings. A sudden breeze swept through the field she was currently in. Letting it slip through her fur felt such a simple pleasure. The samurai sat her sword down beside her as she rested against a tree. It was time for tea and lunch. She riffled through her bag and set up for a well-deserved meal. A small pot of water was boiling for the tea and she began eating one of the premade boxes of fish and rice.
Yuiiko’s eyes scanned the land, as she always stayed on guard. She noted that winter was coming. The trees were becoming bare and the clouds promised snow. When the days grew colder, food was always just a little bit harder to get. It was just harder to get a job when the snow fell for some reason. The samurai savored each bite she had, before pouring herself some tea to go with it.

Kuiteru had some odd run ins, but it was mostly alright. Now he was wandering through the crinkled leaves left from the autumn days he'd enjoyed so much. It was a time when he did not feel quite so out of place. Soon though the snows would come and he would be somewhat like the proverbial sore thumb. He smirked beneath his mask and continued to walk. The mask was as always on his face, sometimes he wondered why, but most times he simply took it as part of who he was.
Stepping lightly into a clearing from the trees, his tails twitched a bit as he glanced around feeling quite a cold breeze that made him shiver. He noted he really should get more clothes some day, though that thought dwindled away as he smelled fresh tea. Tea was something he did enjoy, quite a bit, however he was unsure if he should approach the female...who apparently had a sword. He sighed and sat down near a tree, trying to appear not to observe her too much. Not that he was terribly good at being sneaky and or subtle...he blamed it on his coloration. It was just too hard not to be noticed when one was white and orange.

She had the time to close her eyes and take a sip up the freshly brewed tea. It practically made her inside melt… in a good way. The touch of warmth was always something pleasant indeed. Small sounds of someone near made her ears start to flick. Alarmed her paw quickly reached out for her sheathed sword. It was a masked warrior of some sort? Tension eased, but became puzzled as he sat on another tree. He didn’t attack her nor talk to her. ‘Such strange people in these lands…’ Yuiiko thought to herself, as she tried to watch him as much as he watched her.
“Would you be interested in tea, stranger?”
If he was going to sit there, the least she could do is offer a bit of tea. She poured another steamy cup of the dark liquid and sat it on the ground in front of her.

His ears twitched at her question, rather than speak though, he simply nodded, and slowly approached her as not to warrant any violent reactions. Caution was best when one had no weapon.
Sitting down across from her his head tilted, "Why is such a lovely samurai out and about at this time of day?" One couldn't see it, but he smiled under his mask, quite curious about this newcomer. ((Sorry about spacing a reply, it's been hectic. Tis the season for braindeadness. ^w^;;; ))

The samurai sipped from her cup with such gentility it was hard to even think she could harm a thing. Then again that was in her practice. Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee type of deal.~ Yet she never took her eyes away from the man. She figured it be wise since she couldn't see his facial expressions at the moment. " I wander and stop as I please." She didn't give too much detail to her answer only the bare necessity. ((Tis all good, just checking up on you. :3))

Direct and to the point. Well it was better than when most people simply rambled at him...almost...Rambling had its place, but if he was to chat with her, he would have to make her understand he was not out to get her...she seemed very wary of him.
"I'm Kuteiru, I sort of live up the road with some...odd friends." He offered his paw for a shake, "And you would be?" If she chose to keep quiet on her name this would be the most quiet cup of tea he'd had in a long time.

With his response she gave a small nod. That was sufficient enough to make her a little less wary of the masked man. "I am Yuiiko." Taking a moment to mull over the second part of his comment. "Odd friends, I'm sure are better than none." Yuiiko spoke. She didn't have many friends herself. Some back home that she may never talk to again, but still in her house none the less. A small smile appeared at her lips as she thought about her 'friends'.
