My God.
I had never heard of this before. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, Zonko. We've all heard the stories of anti-Muslim sentiment in France, but that anti-Semitism is still so strong scares me.
I'd say more, but I'm still in shock, and my mom is calling me for dinner.

France has a bad record on these things... and they think they are so civilized... My dad says they are just a bunch of snoots (whatever that means rolleyes ).

It isn't good to generalize or stereotype anybody, but I have to say: now is not a safe time for any Jew to go to France. sad
This reminds me of what Germany was like before the Nuremberg Laws; I just hope it doesn't go that far. But why are people not caring? Do they not realize what could happen here?

darkphoenix1247 It isn't good to generalize or stereotype anybody, but I have to say: now is not a safe time for any Jew to go to France. sad This reminds me of what Germany was like before the Nuremberg Laws; I just hope it doesn't go that far. But why are people not caring? Do they not realize what could happen here? it's nothing new; all this has happened before. and not just germany.

Darkphoenix, I don't know that I would say we shouldn't go. I know that if I had a chance to go to Paris and see the Louvre, I couldn't imagine turning down the chance. However, I doubt I'd be wearing a Magen David all the time outside of my shirt like I do at home.
