The snow could not have come at a worse time. As in, the fact it came at all. Lan did not like walking in this snow. She did not like how it got the hem on her robes wet. Dirty. Cold. She didn't like it one bit. The.. JOYFUL feelings behind it all... it sickened her. She almost shut herself up in her little home. Almost. But that wasn't proper. She had to go out some time. Plus she was running out of inks and scrolls. She would need to buy more for recording more of the bloodlines. It must have seemed a useless task, to record the lines lost but- They had existed. To ignore them would be doing the clan a disservice.
Still, after she managed her purchases-
She was so done with snow. She didn't want to walk back in several inches of it.There were sleds, reins- but a mount was for riding. And she would not subject her mount to such conditions. Not if she could help it. Looking around... maybe she could get one of the passing students-
"Boil. You there." She motioned to the one who looked particularity at home in the snow.
"I have an offer for you."

He had been minding his own business. The snow was nothing for the blue ice boil. He loved the snow and it made him feel right at home, which is why he was wearing very light clothing! His hair was tied up and kept neat about his face, even in the wind that blew. Surly the wind would chill down to ones very bones if they weren't careful. Sighing, his little dear tail flicked behind him as his ears turned this way and that, just listening and breathing. Home. He missed home a great deal, but this wasn't too bad.
Closing those black eyes, Uller opened his arms up and fell face first into a pile of snow, just laying there before flipping over. However, his quiet snow time was short lived at the sound of a demanding voice. With an unamused unhappy looking his face, the Stag sat up and looked in the direction of the voice.
There, ahead of him, was a girl who looked young, but had the body of an older woman. She looked almost royal, but had almost the same air about her as Lifen. He really didn't like the sound of her voice when she said 'offer'.
"What makes you think you can tempt me?" He asked, not bothering to hide his rude tone.

He looked like he was of some four legged creature. And for Lan? That was good enough. All she needed was an able body to pull the sled. Sleigh she supposed given that it was built for actual sitting rather than childish games. If she was handy, she’d make it more to suit her tastes, but then, there were artisans for that. Carving and building- she was more a painter really.
While the student looked a bit unhappy, Lan smiled as sweet as she could. The tiniest glint in her eyes hinting that this was to be a bit of business. And what was a bit of business between… well. Horseman and halloweener? “Well, I have ample things I might offer you.” Arms crossed under her chest. The action and her words not quite matching up to intention. “Silver seeds, gold coins, gems, knowledge…” She smiled thinking it doubtful he’d want them but- “Sweets. Sugar cubes. Whatever your little Halloween heart desires.”

He wavered a little at the look on her face. What in the Jack was she going on about. "I'm not agreeing to anything until I know what it'll be," he murmured to her, standing his full height and crossed his arms over his own chest. He didn't like this ghoul's expression. She looked like the kind who got everything they wanted through bribes or looks, and if she didn't she would throw a hissy fit. How did he know what that looked like? Well, he was like that too. His ears flicked at the sugar cubes and he blinked. He hadn't had those in a while. Those with silver seeds and she might have herself a deal. But he really wanted to know what she wanted. "I'm also not doing anything until you've stated your name. It's only manners. You look like one for manners, so I'm going to have to say shame on you, little miss, for forgetting them." He gave her a sarcastic bow and looked up to her. "Glasere Uller might be at your service, but be a dear and use your words."

He was at least somewhat smart to not accept an immediate offer. Granted he was sending her a look of no, she saw the reaction to the mention of sweets. Sugar cubes in particular. That was all she needed. Fish with common bait for a commoner after all. Even is some bait was bit more geared than others. So long as she could reel them in? It was all well and good at the end. At his little attitude though.
“So haughty for a halloweener. Manners would have you to not make demands of those above your class.” She smirked. “I am Lan, Noble of conquest. There are few who can shame me boy, and I am afraid those younger than I are not in such ranks.” Assumptions all around. She bowed her head a bit at him all the same. “But you wish to know what I seek? I need to get back to my home in the reserve. And the snow is… messy. Ill suited to one such as myself. So I need assistance.” A hand motioned to the abandoned reins and sleigh. “You will of course, be paid based on your performance. Do well, and I am generous. Send me into snow and well.” Her smiled held the hint that hs ewould not like what would follow.
“Name your price. I had made my offer after all.”

She wanted him to pull a stupid sleigh? What did he look like, a reindeer? He looked at her like she was insane. His eyes kind of narrowed at her and let his nose wrinkle a little more at that and sighed. Noble or not, he didn't want to pull a sleigh. That wasn't for his race, much less someone like him. Sighing, his ears flicked this way and that and then gave a snort. He was too good for this! Yet the sway of sugar cubes and the fact he could ask for more... The greedy side of the deer was giving in. "...Very well, Lan." He sighed and stepped back from her, not happy with his decision completely, but whatever. He couldn't do it in this in this form. "One moment." With that, the blue hand went up to his necklace and he tossed it into the sleigh after taking it off. Within a few minutes, he was in his natural form; a big deer that had the same eyes, but his antlers were much, much larger, and he would tower of the Conquest noble now. Moving to the sleigh, he shifted so she could hook him up. This was sort of humiliating.

To Lan, every student might as well have been a pack mule. Tools, animals that could be put to use or just things in her way. As the student seemed to fuss, she wondered if she’d need to up her offer. She rather wished she’d not have to but she was determined to avoid the cold wet ground as much as possible. But when Uller gave in? Her face lit up with a smile. Students could be put to use at the best of times given the right incentives. She’d remember this one and his payment preferences.
As he took off his pin, hands clapped together. “Oh my, don’t you look rather handsome. Much better in that form then the more… human one.” The need to look human was practical in some ways but really, animals were animals. Still she had her sleigh, and didn’t mind the fact she was having to hook it up herself. A small price to pay for avoiding the walk home.
“You know, if you had a saddle or a nice blanket, you could just offer rides that way. Make a very nice profit, and, I am sure some of the other ladies would adore having someone to keep them from having to walk home in this… white mess.” That made people far to… queer in her opinion.

Her compliments were not lost on him. Uller found he was rather handsome in this form. His tail flicked a little as he just let his ego grow with her words. Just what the Stag needed, more praise for his fattened ego.
Maybe Lan wasn't so bad after all.
Then she opened her mouth again.
Uller kind of gave her a face that said he wanted nothing to do with a saddle or a blanket so people could ride directly on him. What in her right mind made her think he wanted peoples butts to be on him? all that would separate was a piece of leather or cloth. The very thought of that made him shift and snort in disgust. "No," he spoke, glaring at her as she saddled him up. Oh, he was going to ask for more than sugar cubes when he got to where ever she needed to go. It better not be a long journey either, because Uller didn't care for long trips with people.
"Snow isn't a white mess. It's just basically frosty rain. Quit being a snot and get in the sleigh." Rude or not, he was still going to pull her home.

She gave his hind a light a light slap of admonishment. "Careful boil, I am doubtless your elder. Plus it is a matter of opinions. I'm not suited to this... Season." Huffing she got in the sleigh. "To the lost clans if you please"
