Heedless of all else, Taanisi bounded through the dens, calling her mother's name. She'd come directly from speaking with the little seer. it didn't occur to her that she might should have asked more questions of the young one. What did he look like? What did the place they were in look like? Many questions could have pelted her brain, but they hadn't. Her excitement had taken over, and she simply had to go. Now! But she'd never, ever leave without telling her mother. It hadn't really sunk in that she was leaving for good. For now, all she could think was to find her mother!
"Mother! Tsukiko! Where are you? Mother?" She ran through the dens, calling and stopping to ask if anyone had seen her. She was clearly pretty frantic, but oh, how her eyes glowed! her fur was wind-ruffled, and her whiskers bristled, but it all clearly was for positive reasons rather than negative. She managed to track her mother down to a favorite resting place, some distance from the den she herself had grown up in. Breathless and all a-flutter, Taanisi ran up to her. "Mother! Mother!"

Tsukiko had been doing much of what she usually did, which is to say, she wandered and thought. Today's theme had been clouds, because, as a lion, they were a little hard to comprehend. She simply didn't have the means to really figure out what was up with them, but had a few very reasonable theories.
She had just come back near the den to sit and ponder and internally discuss the validity of some of her theories when one of her daughters came calling. Mirei, Taanisi and Akatsuki were all grown up now, and so their visits were to be especially valued at this point.
She smiled easily, though immediately curious about Taanisi's state of excitement. "Hello, Taanisi!" She perked her ears and tilted her head. "What has you so excited?"

This great state of flutterment was a greatly unusual thing for the young lioness, who had spent most of her cubhood being quiet, demure, and predictable. This agitation was so beyond her character, she wouldn't have recognized herself, had she caught sight of herself. She nearly was leaping up and down in place.
"Mother, he's out there! He's waiting for me! I have to go to him! I have to leave!" Every short, abrupt sentence very clearly had an exclamation mark after it. Her voice was high-pitched and very intense, rather than the usual even-toned and mellow voice she used on a daily basis. She couldn't sit or stand still either, but bounced or paced as she spoke, tail lashing mightily behind her. "I just learned about him, and now I must go to find him!" Utter nonsense, if one hadn't been privy to her previous conversation, of course.

She was both amused and bemused by this attitude, and Tsukiko tilted her head, not quite understanding what Taanisi was going on about. She was an intelligent lioness, but conclusions were usually something she reached after some discussion.
"'He'?" She repeated. "Who is he? Where?" Despite all the commotion Tsukiko kept her usual calm, apparently not riled up herself with her daughter's excitement.

Taanisi stopped, sat, and clasped her paws together tightly, gazing off into the distance. "He, mother! My mate! The lion I'm meant to be with!" She was absolutely breathless, which was partly why only short sentences were erupting like tiny explosions from her mouth. "She is gods-blessed, mother, and told me! She saw me with him! I have a mate somewhere!" She leapt to her paws again and paced once more, tail waving happily.
"Isn't that wonderful? He's out there, waiting for me!" She spun to face her mother again. "That's why I have to go, don't you see? He's waiting!" Her eyes darted to and fro as she began to try and think if she needed to take anything with her. "Oh, but what should I bring?" She sat again, tail lashing, and put a paw to her muzzle in thought, looking anxious, searingly happy, and distracted all at once.
