Taurid was bored. He hated being bored, it was the absolute worse. Ora, Amun and Smriti were all being brats and didn't want to play with him and pop was 'too tired'. Sometimes he wished they weren't just constantly walking everywhere... but it was always 'your mom' this and 'your mom' that. If she was really so great why did they always have to be looking for her? Why hadn't they found her yet? Taurid thought that maybe his pop was just in denial. Maybe this mom character was just something pop made up!
His teal tipped tail gave a flick as he moved through the grasses, yawning. Maybe if he found something really interesting to do then his sisters and brother would be enticed to play. But what would be cool enough to persuade them? A giant bug? Some sort of abandoned den or cave or... well he wasn't sure he would find a cave around here but still...
"Aaarg!" He growled out his frustration, nose wrinkling.

Jahzara had once again vanished from the den her mother had made, leaving her siblings behind as well. Her head hurt so much from all of their loud voices--then again--they did live in a cave and there were a good number of them. Another problem was that she wasn't afraid of anything and was more then willing to take life by the horns. While her siblings tried to stick to things where they would not even have the chance of injury or death. Yeah, she sometimes lived on the wild side. Sadly though, Jahzara didn't have any friends except for the one's related to her by blood and obviously a young juvenile like her couldn't live on those relations alone. So today's goal was to find someone and make them her friend. Err. . . Maybe that was easier said than done. It was worth a shot right? Certainly couldn't blame the girl for trying.
The small black juvenile cub walked steadily as she tried to walk across a rock path that would lead her into the tall grass instead of taking the dirt route which was literally all around the rocks. It was go high or go home for her. Any chance she got to be a 'daredevil' she would certainly do it. She certainly didn't take after her name, she was most certainly not a princess. After a few minutes of nearly falling off a couple of the big but misshapen rocks Jahzara reached the entrance of the tall grass and happily pounced into it. With a couple hops and leaps she soon realized that someone was nearby. What really gave the fellow juve away was his loud, but still a little pitiful growl. Had he been a little older his voice probably would have scared smarter lions away, but even then she would have ventured closer to get a look at him. With gentle footsteps Jahzara peeked her head right through the tall grass, only to realize that the pink, black, and blue juvenile was only a few inches away. "WHOA!" She said loudly, trying not to yell.

Taurid was just about to come to the little rock path through the tall grass, unbeknown to him. But just as he did so he was met with a pair of silvery eyes– eyes that reminded him greatly of his father. His father, of course, had mismatched eyes like himself. One dark and one really light, again like Taurid's. Except pop had one silvery purple and one dark green where Taurid had one bright blue eye and his other was almost black in color. He liked his mismatched eyes because everything else, his father claimed, came from the mystery mother of his. Smriti also had mismatched eyes, but hers were closer in color. Amun and Ora had regular eyes, like this girl's; just a single color shared among the pair.
What was more interesting than the silvery eyes were the markings around the eyes, pretty pinks and purples and very nice to look at. Not as nice as Smriti, who he thought was very beautiful, but still nice. When the 'WHOA!' escaped the strangers mouth he reeled back a little, making a displeased face. "Hey!" He yelled back, only a little louder than her.
Still, this was something interesting! He didn't think pop had let them meet anyone yet... so this was sort of cool. He watched her for a few more seconds, "Hey." He said again, this time more quietly and more friendly.

Jahzara was surprised when she heard him yell hey at her and she was a bit confused on his meaning but decided not to ask. Now that she was closer and he wasn't concealed by the tall grass she was able to see that he really was brightly colored. He didn't have as many shades of colors as her or her siblings or unique markings like them but he still had an interesting pelt color. However, what she found the most curious was that he was out here alone. "Hey." She responded with one eyebrow raised as she inspected him. With a non-harmful demeanor she made her way around the stranger for a moment before seating herself in front of him. "Who are you? Where are you from?" Jahzara asked, her tone also reflecting that of friendliness but with a bit of curiosity laced in it.
Her silver eyes looked into his multicolored ones. He was a curious one. Maybe he would be her friend. It certainly would be nice to get to know someone other then her siblings for a change. She decided she would try her best to make a friendship with him. Although, she didn't know how long it took to do that. Maybe they were already friends with just those few words exchanged? No. She found that hard to believe and in fact quickly pushed that idea out. Nothing was that easy. And that's when this goal of friendship became all that more interesting.

As her one eyebrow raised both of his did in a sort of what are you looking at kind of manner. Maybe this was how all strangers really acted when they met one on one; he wouldn't know, he'd always been with the rest of his family. When she sat herself in front of him he shifted, itching to get back up to all four paws and establish himself as more important because he'd be higher up than her. He didn't though, not yet. "Hnnn." Where were they from? "I'm not from anywhere, though why would that matter? And my name is Taurid. Don't shorten it or I'll kill you." His words were firm and not exactly unfriendly but still a little mean. Of course, this was his natural tone that he used with his family. How could she know that though?
He did stand back and he brought himself really close to her, inspecting her eyes again. "Why are your eyes like that? I've never seen silver eyes." His tail gave a little flick, completely at ease with invading her personal space as he was. "Your parents have silver eyes?" He asked curiously. He shifted and backed up a little again so he could sit. "Oh. I guess you can tell me your name, too." ~Kiana_Nala~ (omo, I'm sorry he's such a little poo -runs-)
