Nights were the safest time for a powered-up Senshi to be out and about. Aegir patrolled during other times - when he wasn't at school, at his dance studio, at a performance or doing something with his boyfriend, Björn - but he generally did so as a civilian. But nights and early mornings were times when he could make rounds as Aegir and generally not run into too many civilians. At least it was far, far easier for him to hide from their eyes (and smartphones!) whilst trying to protect them. Sometimes Björn wanted to come with him (surely a strong-man would be of use, right?) but a gentle reminder about what had happened on a previous occasion was more than enough to keep him at the dorm (and break Colin's heart a little bit too; he hated reminding the Swede that as strong as he was...he couldn't match up to the Negaverse).
Colin was perched in the moonlight-dappled branches of a tree; eyes searching over the visible stretch of the park from his vantage point while he rested out of sight. He wasn't tired really, but he'd been on the prowl for two hours by that point and knew that if he didn't pace himself properly, he'd be completely exhausted when he got back to the dorm (and Björn) and well..he just preferred having some energy when he got home.

If Chariklo had known at that moment that any senshi felt safer at night, she would have done her level best to disrupt it. Not that she really had anything against the senshi in general. Her feelings for them were more of an irritated pity. And sometimes amusement.
Tonight though... tonight her mood was foul. Hell, if she wanted to be completely honest with herself, it'd been rotten ever since that night. Ever since... she shook herself, forcing her mind from the slippery and treacherous mental paths it kept trying to wander down. Oh, eventually, she would have to stop and deal with what she'd done. But not tonight.
As she leapt over the rooftops of the city, she felt a flare of energy from the park. Order energy. Which meant a fight (which she badly craved) or a leisurely chat, possibly both. Grinning, the Dark Mirror adjusted her course for the park. Once she got there, well. What would happen would depend on what was waiting when she got there.

Nocturnal safety had more to do with the number of civilians that could potentially be involved, rather than the actual safeness provided by the time of day. Aegir may not always be the nicest of people (there were kids at his school that he sometimes daydreamt were hit by buses, fell off cliffs only to be eaten by exotic lions or even had their noses broken by his clenched fist(s)) but in general, he wanted to keep as many civilians out of trouble in the war between the Negaverse and Senshi as he possibly could. As of late it had seemed that the Negaversians weren't into taking star seed after star seed though, which made his "job" that much easier. It worried him...as did not knowing what had happened to Sailor Castor. Changes could be very dangerous in his line of work...and not knowing or understanding them could mean the difference between life or death. Or uh, at the very least the difference between coming off like a totally ignorant jackass rather than someone trying to protect what was good and right in the world. Aegir felt a surge of energy that was Senshi-but-not...it felt an awful lot like the energy he'd felt from Sailor Navi of the Dark Mirror Court. He couldn't know if he would be fighting this one, though he had only had a reasonable-seeming chat with the other, but he dropped from out of the trees when Chariklo came into the area of the park he'd been resting in. Battle or talk, it was his duty to engage whomever this blond girl was in her grey costume. "Who goes there?" Sailor Aegir held himself in a battle-ready stance; wary immediately because not only did this girl look like she wanted to kick someone's a**, she was very clearly in a bad mood.

Blinking as she was challenged on arrival, Chariklo took note of the general direction of the voice before giving a sour laugh.
"Who goes there? Really? That's the best you can do? s**t, the melon brat at least managed to sound sort of interesting when she showed up."
Not that the Dark Mirror of Seagulls really gave a damn about whether or not the person who'd spoken was interesting. No, what she wanted was for him to talk a little more, give her a better idea of where exactly he was... All the better to beat the s**t out of you, my dear, she thought with a sort of grim amusement. Chariklo knew where her strengths lay within the Court. And it wasn't pretty talking.
There was a manic gleam deep in her sunset eyes as they swiftly scanned the area, taking note of shadows and any flickering movement. Without really thinking about it, her body was already preparing itself to lunge. Just show yourself, she whispered to herself. One little peep is all I need...

Aegir rolled his eyes at the girl with the bitchin' haircut and bad attitude; okay so maaaybe he could have sounded cooler there, but if he spouted out his battle-cry then it was definitely a fight, wasn't it? Maybe he should just give in, she seemed like she totally wanted to chew some bones or something. "You're one of those Dark Mirror Senshi. If you want to fight, then I'll show you what I can do." The blond narrowed his eyes and leaned forward a bit, still hidden from direct view; briefly he wondered just how many of those Dark Mirror Senshi there really were running around. This made two that he'd met specifically...and that was one more than "normal" Senshi he'd actually met. He thought about waiting for her to answer - battle or talk, but then thought better of it; there was a gleam in her eyes that spoke of battle fever and blood lust. Nope, this one did not want to talk things out - she wanted to kick some a**! "Your tongue is sharp and needs to learn some manners! I'm Sailor Aegir and you're about to be silenced!" With a little grin tugging at Colin's lips, he lept into the grey-clad Senshi's view, wholly ready to kick her a** (or get his kicked, either way).

Nodding in semi-approval, Chariklo grinned. Well, this one certainly did not lack spirit!
"Better," she murmured and a sparkle of amusement briefly overwrote the battle lust in her eyes. She studied the slim blonde boy for a moment. Definitely not one of the ones she's encountered already. For that matter, she didn't even know if this one had been approached by any of her comrades before. But he'd at least heard of the Dark Mirror Court.
"Much better," she applauded. "Much more original than 'Who Goes There'. Gotta admit though. Real curious how you know what I am."
Oh, she'd still beat the hell out of him, but curiosity had to be satisified.

Spine straight, exuding confidence, Sailor Aegir saw the Dark Mirror Senshi's attitude change from a sharp mocking taunt to something that spoke of - and this was the strange part - approval and interest. So, she was the kind of girl that liked a man of action, was she? Okay then, if that's the way she wanted it, that's the way they'd do it. "So you'll give me a hand, but not your name?" He chuckled a little at the bad pun, but then tilted his head and reminded himself that just because they weren't swapping blows yet didn't mean that he shouldn't keep his guard up. She felt dangerous...but he was confident in his abilities. "I've met some of your sister senshi." Sailor Navi, specifically, but he didn't want to say her name, just in case that wasn't something that should have happened. They'd had a fairly low-key, amiable discussion - he didn't want to get her in any sort of trouble.

Oh so. Smiling a bit, she studied the boy and managed a soft chuckle.
"Well, if you've met some of my 'sisters' and they didn't pound you into the dirt, I'll take it as a recommendation of your basic character," she answered in an almost lazy voice. Keeping with the show of laziness, she began to slowly circle Aegir, quite obviously giving him a look over. Once she finished her circle, she stood still a moment thinking. After a moment, she shrugged and gave Aegir an odd sort of half smile that would have sent any nearby children or animals running for cover.
With a half bow that was clearly intended as mocking, she introduced herself, "Sailor Chariklo."
Without even thinking about it, she'd tensed back up, eyes watchful. As far as she was concerned, just because another dark mirror had talked to this guy didn't make him exempt from getting beaten on. After all, she didn't know how these mysterious prior encounters had gone.

The shark-like girl was smiling at him again, in that creepy sort of way that made his stomach lurch a little bit (not that he'd admit to it, let alone tell her about it). Something about her just struck him as off and he had the strange feeling that if he were not perfectly still, perfectly careful with what he said and did, she might attack without warning. "So you'll just believe me, like that? You're pretty careless, aren't you?" Probably not the smartest thing to say to her, but the girl's manner grated and made him want to taunt her, to poke and prod at her sore spots for a reaction...it was similar to how he sometimes felt when dealing with some of the girls at his dance studio. Definitely not the smartest thing to do; it was one thing to taunt and tease normal people...but a Dark Mirror Senshi? Someone that could probably kick your a** - or at least put some dents in your hide? Yeah, pretty stupid...but then, he could be impulsive. It was one of his less endearing traits, or so he'd been told. Chariklo. Now he had a name paired with the face that was studying him so intently; Chariklo seemed to stalk around him like a lioness sizing up it's prey. Aegir didn't like it one bit and he couldn't help from tensing back up himself, fists raising in an unconscious sort of readiness for the attack his sub-conscious was almost certain would be happening at any moment.

"Don't be stupid," she said in an almost kind tone of voice. "Clearly you've run into Dark Mirrors before or you wouldn't have recognized me for one. Logic dictates that you have indeed run into some of my bros."
Giving Aegir a disdainful look and a bit of an exasperated head shake, she continued.
"Just because you ran into 'em doesn't mean everything was lovely and chill. I'm with-holding judgement."
Chariklo was already bored with this. There was a reason why she wasn't encouraged to be one of the persuasive Dark Mirrors. And this boredom with talking when there was potential for a fight was one of those reasons. Grinning tightly, she decided to test Aegir's reflexes a bit.
Hissing softly in anticipation, she lunged for the boy, fist swinging.

Although he was trying to keep his attitude - and temper - in check with the Dark Mirror Senshi, he was finding it harder and harder. Something about this girl was absolutely grating. Maybe it was the unkind-sounding laughter colouring her tone, her flippant attitude with which she addressed him or perhaps it was due to the disdainful way she kept looking at him...whatever the reason, Aegir felt the building urge to put his hands around Sailor Chariklo's throat and throttle her. "Your comrade was a lot more pleasant than you are." Words went from mind to mouth faster than he could think to stop them; sure, the truth could hurt, but he had a sinking feeling that he might be the one hurt more than her. Barely two heart-beats after those words escaped Sailor Aegir, DMC Chariklo's boredom-inspired punch came at him; too soon for his words to have caused it, but also too fast for him to reason out why she was grinning like a goddamned shark, let alone why the punch was thrown in the first place. Thankfully his reflexes were very good and he was able to jerk back; unfortunately they weren't fast enough to keep him from taking some damage. Chariklo's fist grazed his cheek in just the right manner to cause a small cut that began to well with blood. "You dirty---" With narrowed eyes, Aegir pulled himself into readiness to attack - if this was the way the woman wanted to go, this is the way they'd go. He certainly wasn't afraid to hit a girl, especially not one that was attacking him! "You wanna fight, fine, let's fight!" Sailor Aegir didn't bother with a magical attack just yet, instead he came back at Chariklo with a right hook - and if that didn't connect, there was a hard left to follow. He wasn't going to hold back at all.

Grinning with sheer delight at having provoked a reaction, Chariklo started to dance back until a fast punch, much faster than she'd anticipated, caught her jaw. Grunting in pain and managing to keep her feet in spite of stumbling back, she gingerly probed her jaw and winced. Not broken, thankfully, but she'd be eating a lot of ice cream and jello for a couple days.
Well, well, well. She hadn't had (in her own modest opinion) a worthwhile opponent since Neko-chwan. It was about damned time that the White Moon provided someone for her to test herself against.
Making sure to move so she wouldn't provide an easy target, Chariklo had to grin in spite of the pain.
"Not bad," she grated. "'bout time one of you Order-y types used your fists instead of tryin' to lecture me."
Still grinning, she stopped moving and very visibly braced herself, taking a stance that made her willingness to flat out brawl perfectly clear.

Very rarely had he ever come up against a woman that wanted to fight as much as Chariklo seemed to want to fight; the determination he'd seen in plenty dancers, but the wont to brawl? Now that was rare. Possibly as rare as - if she wasn't exaggerating greatly - the number of "Order Senshi" willing to fight instead of nag? "Not bad yourself." Aegir's balance shifted so his weight was more on one leg than the other; a more aggressive stance to match her own. Since Chariklo was standing still momentarily, he decided to take the chance and see if he couldn't cut their little reenactment of Fight Club short. "Aegir Golden Hush!" With a flourish the blond-haired Scout sent a glowing light in Chariklo's direction; warmth would wash over her as the light hit - after a few moments, if the attack hit properly, the magic would settle into a golden "rope" around her throat, held by Aegir. Even without the rope, Chariklo's voice would be silenced for half a minute, courtesy of his special magic. Twilight Jaws Sorry for the delay...also...if you have a question re: the attack... Journal. I wanted to leave whether the rope hit and stuck or if she'd end up escaping it.

Okay, so she hadn't expected Aegir to whip out his magic so quickly. And she certainly hadn't expected the senshi equivalent of Wonder Woman's Golden Lasso to fly out and settle so snugly around her throat. She'd tried to scream in rage, only to find that her voice was gone.
Rather than panicking or trying to struggle against the rope, she got angry and lunged forward towards the other senshi, rage flashing in her sunset eyes as her fists and feet flew out in a blurring pattern of motion, trying to beat the ever-loving s**t out of the boy. She might be voiceless, but she sure as ******** wasn't helpless.

Typically he tried to keep his magic attack back until at least half the battle was over (or seemed to be); it wasn't the most effective attack one could have but neither was it the most ineffective one. Aegir had learned how to make his magic count the best way he could: as long as he kept the "rope" in hand, he could use it to throw around his opponent. That was the theory, anyway. Chariklo, having already proven that she wasn't your typical female-in-fuku, responded to his magic not with panic or fear, but with rage. Pure unadulterated rage; he got to watch the noose settle around her throat and her subsequent seconds-long shock turn into ire. Instead of falling backward and trying to remove the noose, she let loose a scream that probably would have broken ear-drums, if not for his silencing magic. As she flew at him with murder in her eyes, he timed a leap so that he could fly over those whirling limbs; an acrobatic hand-spring and two flips later, he was close to where she had been when he'd first launched his attack. This girl meant business and she could really hurt him if he wasn't careful, if he didn't take her totally seriously or tried to hold back 'cause she was a girl. Now behind Chariklo, Aegir hauled on the still-glowing rope he'd managed to keep hold of with both hands, trying to haul the girl off her feet now that he was behind her. Hopefully this would work, otherwise he had a feeling she would be extremely pissed and he would end up with some nasty bruises!
