The chaos at the farm had left Poppy with a jumpy nature, sitting up the dark colored doe looked around from where she was perched at the main hole to the warren. Her pale pink eyes watched the area while her nervous ears twitched involuntarily. This was not what she was used to, she missed her warm hutch and food that was brought to her and her siblings everyday. Shaking her head, Poppy ducked back underground as the crisp air scared the warmth from the sun away. She had started settling in with everyone else, but the place was soo big that she easily got lost. Today poppy thought she would see what all the fuss was, the reason the wild rabbits had to raid her old home. Sniffing around the burrows the black and white doe wandered the runs and burrows. Her ears ever twitching, she jumped once or twice when she poked her head into the wrong hole and was shouted at by the occupant inside. Backing up quickly from one of the holes she dashed deeper, her eyes wide with wild fear. She didn't like this place, it was too... She didn't know what, but she didn't like it.
When her heart finally slowed like her paws, the soft cries of newborns found Poppy's ears. Now where has she gotten herself to? Sitting up in the middle of the run, she moved slowly towards one of the many warm dens where the cries were coming from. Ears laying back she peered inside, not knowing what she might find. Her nerves on edge for whatever was to come her way.
