History:Arraxis was born to a small hold outside of Benden that specialized in mining for coal and simple minerals. His history was pretty simple. Growing up, he worked with his family in the mines hunting for coal and other materials. There was also a Master Wherhandler who trained whers for mine work. And Arraxis was fascinated with the whers and what hard work they accomplished.

As soon as Arraxis was old and big enough, he was allowed to help the Wher Handler in his duties. Feeding, cleaning, care... All that was needed to know. And as he took to the duties, he noticed something. Besides those like the miners and other hard "low" workers, not many people liked or cared for the Whers. Which was stupid. Whers worked twice as hard as the dragons did, were much more suited to the every day Pern populace and could be independent if required. Plus not too mention the personality a wher had! And the jobs they could perform! Arraxis grew angry towards dragon riders and anyone who looked down at his beloved whers. After all, he had no interest in trying to Impress one of those dragons.
