Checking over the group as everyone gathered by the far side of the fence and what looked like a badly malformed hrududu that she'd seen the farmer use to scratch long furrows into the earth.
Everyone seemed accounted for, but it was hard to tell with this hrair. Touching her nose to Raven's once she found her, Althea tried her best to keep the marli-tone out of her voice. Raven was full-grown after all, and if she became an owsla after this...
"Raven, this is where we leave you. Do you see those things along the side of the house? Those are food bins, you might have some luck there. The fields look pretty barren, but you might be able to pull up a gnarled root or two."
She looked over the farm again, her heart starting to race from adrenaline. It didn't... feel right, leaving just on this. The 'what if's' felt too heavy for a lofty goodbye.
"And, be safe. Please. Good luck, Raven."
Shaking her head to clear away all the other things she wanted to say, Althea sorted through the pack and touched noses with the other rabbits that were to make up the rest of Raven's team. Finding Pepper, she touched noses with him in greeting.
"Watch over her, will you? And good luck to you both. We're getting too old for this, my friend."
After quiet good wishes and a brisk farewell, Althea gathered up the remaining rabbits and circled around the outskirts of the farm, her eyes on the silo as she tried to get her mind off the farm house. She had a job to do, now was NOT the time for the marli in her to worry.
Things would be well, or they would not. Frith knew, not her.
...They grew up so fast.

As Althea turned to him, Pepper studied her closely. It must be hard for her, with Raven leading this group all on her own. Well not truly on her own, she did have him. And Pepper would do his best to make sure the other members of his group made it back safety.
Touching noses with Althea, Pepper nodded. "I will and I believe we are, perhaps next time we can watch safety from the down my old friend" Pepper gave Althea a slight grin. Knowing full well the two of them would always accompany the young on the raids. As Althea moved away, Pepper let his gaze drift from rabbit to rabbit, checking to make sure that all was still well with the group.
Moving to settle lightly next to Raven, Pepper turned towards her "Are you ready for this?"

Raven's ear twitched as she listened intently to the orders given by her Marli. She resisted the urge to say anything smart or cocky in response and simply nodded, "Yes. Of course, you have my word this will go smoothly I assure you." she glanced at her team briefly. They seemed like a good group of rabbits, if not a bit shabby around the edges. She wasn't so keen on having a little "helper" to watch out for but wasn't about to ruin her chances of impressing Althea. "The food bins seem simple and safe enough" at Pepper's question she shot him a sharp glance "Of course I am ready. Are you?" ((OOC: Bit short I know - trying to get AIM working ^^;; sorry! ))

Aythi dipped her head as Althea told them what to do then left to attend to the other two teams. Her green eyes blinked as she touched noses with the Owsla before listening to Pepper and Raven. Her heart seemed to pound even harder but she was ready. She noted a seer in their group and a soft smile spread across her muzzle. Perhaps he could tell them how things would work out! But no, she knew that was not how it worked. The thought at least.... put a tiny bit of ease into her mind as she chuckled inwardly at her own foolishness. He seemed just as scared and nervous as the rest of them, if not more outwardly so, and so she hopped over and placed a gentle paw on his shoulder, doing her best to give him a re-assuring gaze.
Her ears flickered towards Raven's words. If only the food bins really did seem safe enough... though it wasn't those she was worried about. Rowfs, pfeffas... farmers... Frith have mercy on her group as well as on the others! She flattened her ears to her head before perking them up and alert once more, hopping forward. "Ready when you are Raven. Just tell me what it is you wish me to do." she nodded, speaking in as firm of a voice she could muster.

Anis was shocked that Snakeroot had somehow managed to figure out that she was going on the Raid. She didn’t talk to her the whole run there, speeding around between people, hoping over others. She had touched noses with Althea in pleasure before she watched as Althea also touched noses with Snakeroot. She gave a light huff but leaned against Snakeroot for a moment. Touching her nose to the other doe’s shoulder, it was her way of showing that she wasn’t mad and that they would make a good team.
She sat waiting for orders from her leader. She watched as Raven snapped at Pepper. “I’m sure you will be a great leader Raven.” She piped up softly, despite the other doe’s rather dour disposition, she didn’t mind her. She wouldn’t let it dour her mood and she would try and keep spirits high. “Ready for orders leader.” She whispered hunkering down low to the ground ready and willing to shoot off at any moment.

Kalei listened intently as Althea spoke, her ears pressed forward but still held low. The owsla was proud, and occasionally harsh, but no one could say she didn't care about the warren, and Kalei felt a trill of admiration as the large rabbit brushed noses with her.
With Althea left, she turned her eyes to the rest of the group. A brief flick of her ears was her silent salutations -- she didn't yet trust her voice for too much speech but, focusing her attention on Pepper and Raven, she murmured, "I'm ready."

+Swan-Song+ Swan-song’s ears so very often folded against his back lifted as Althea touched his nose. He was surprised; but happy and gently pushed against hers. He settled down and waited, hunkered as close to the ground as he could. Every heart beat went to the ground, and his ears shifted to even the smallest sounds. Some made the muscles of his hind leg twitch as if at any time he would run; but he had to stay; the Warren needed this food for the winter and it was their team to get it. He turned bright eyes to Pepper then raven, waiting for the leaders to give word. Even as he put his life in their paws; he tried to open that odd little burrow in himself; so that maybe, just maybe he could see what danger may lie ahead of them; and perhaps help it from happening.
He gave a small start as something touched him and he looked up to see the doe that he had been following. His ears lifted some and he gently brushed against her to thank for the touch. He hoped and hoped even more that things would end safely for them all. "I... I am ready." (( ooc: ))

Snakeroot smiled fondly as Anis left her be, and took off running after the others. Running had always been her way of working things out in her head, a way to blow off steam and gather herself, and Snakeroot had known this for quite some time. At one point it deeply hurt her, but over time she came to realize that Anis was a rabbit that could work on her own, a rabbit that was very independent. Still, she felt the need to protect the little doe, not because she was reckless, but because she was impulsive in a way that terrified Snakeroot. She knew Anisthary could take care of herself but always felt the need to make sure of it and step in if she was needed, maybe even fight her battles for her.
After making her way toward Althea and touching noses with her before they parted, Snakeroot took a moment to herself before Anis found her and touched her nose sweetly to her shoulder. Snakeroot smirked and gave her a soft nuzzle in return. Their own silent apologies.
Taking a look at Raven, and then at the rest of her team. Snakeroot waited for her orders, silent as she always was, and looked to her leaders for guidance with an unspoken preparation. Her head pounded, but she ignored it for the moment, because there were much more important matters at hand.

Seeing as the group was mostly composed, Pepper gave a nod to Raven and turned his attention to the group. Pulling himself upright, Pepper cleared his throat. "We should start to move towards the food bins now" He gave them little to thought after that as he made his way carefully across the open ground. His one good eye surveying the area intently. He figured, Raven would being up the rear of the group.

Edit:
Off in the distance the dog snorts in his sleep, his legs kicking out slowly, and then faster and faster as he dreams. His paws scrape against the wood planks of his house, making a horrible noise before he settles again, never even waking up.

Anisthray nodded towards Pepper as he spoke, once he was finished and starting off she followed after him. Flanking him, on the side that had the bad eye, while every part of her screamed to zip across the yard to the food bins she held her post. At the sound of the dog she dropped to the ground, ready to zip out of the way of danger. Thankfully no attack came and once the noise had past everything remained still, the farmer had not awoken. She looked back to Pepper. “I think we are safe for now.” She commented softly, looking over her shoulder at Snakeroot.

Aythi's ears flickered to the sounds of scratching against the dirt. Her nose twitched s she cast her green gaze about, stopping behind Pepper and hunkering low to the ground. "Smells like rowf.... but I don't think he's awakened yet thank Frith...." she whispered softly to the older buck, casting a glance back at her team to make sure they were all still present and accounted for. Hopefully the rowf would stay sleeping.... that was the last thing they needed.

+Swan-Song+ Swan-song shifted with unease as the old buck took charge. He cast his eyes around in fear before timidly following. He grew more and more worried as they crossed an open space. Nowhere to hide, no burrows to run in. He followed the doe from before, it seemed a safe bet. The sudden sound and odd smell sent his hear racing and he froze still and listened. He heard what the doe said, never catching he name before. A rowf, something big with teeth that could gobble you up with nothing at all left. Shivering he hurried closer to the doe and Pepper. His nose twitching and his ears flat against his back. This whole place smell wrong; he wanted to run, he needed to. (( ooc: ))

Snakeroot followed after her leaders on Pepper’s command, staying dutifully with the team. She could follow direction to a T, but had never been much of a leader. She could be quite the asset when concerning herself with those other than Anis. She had no qualms dictating over her, though it wasn’t such a bad thing. Anis occasionally needed some form of direction.
Hunkering down quickly, her ears perked forward at a heinous noise that sent dread through her body that temporarily overwhelmed the ache in her head. Her eyes snapped to Anis, and she slunk with all the stealth of a homba toward her, hoping to still that instinct to run. She did not say a word, and simply stood, cream fur pressed protectively against silver as she watched the beast snore and kick in his dreams. Luckily it only seemed to prove as a reminder that danger was lurking, and did not appear to be the danger itself, at least for the moment.
