Titus found himself dreading Tombsday more and more with each passing day. He wanted it to be over with. Enough that his insides were twisted with anxiety. If the day could just pass him over entirely he wasn't sure he would be disappointed but as time is a cruel mistress it promptly arrived just as every other day had and the time of six o'clock was fast approaching.
As promised Titus stood outside the gates of the school waiting for Hel to arrive. The car parked not far away was a sporty number. A two seater that sat low to the ground and was obviously built for speed. As with the nightmare demon the theme of the vehicle seemed to be black with hints of blue here and there.
As for Titus himself he had dressed rather simply leaving his usual coat back at his dorm. Instead he had a button up shirt with the cuffs unbuttoned and loose around his wrists dark jeans and a nice pair of boots. Those boots were getting their work out as the demon was currently pacing the sidewalk fretting about how this would go down. Titus respected his Uncle far more than his parents and often listened to the man because of that fact more often than not. He wasn't a foolish, would he truly fall for this? Would he believe Hel was his ghoulfriend and get his parents off his back and in turn leave him alone?

Hel found herself dreading Tombsday too. Especially after grugeling “good ghoulfriend”. It varied from site to site…and once again she couldn’t help but feel like it was a matter of opinion…and she had no idea what Titus’s opinion was on the matter. That was the least of her worries though. Really. Around 5:30, Hel poked her head out of her room and looked down from one end of the hall to the other. The last thing she needed or wanted was questions and to be caught.
Was it wrong to hope this whole pretending to be Titus’ ghoulfriend thing would fly under the radar? Was it too much to hope? Regardless, she wasn’t taking any chances. With the coast clear, Hel leapt out from her room with a small leather bag and ran down the hall.
Next, the ghoul would be seen coming out of the gym wearing the black lace dress, black lace stockings, and…her leather steel toed boots. She made a beeline for the school gate, getting out her scowling and frustration with this whole thing in her ground eating strides. In no time she arrived, with minutes to spare before six. She was greeted with the sight of a pacing Titus…and…was…that a car?
The ghoul’s expression dissolved into pure curiosity as she pointed at it, awe struck.
“…Is…that yours?”

Hel's sudden arrival broke Titus out of his thoughts turning to her as she gawked at his ride. "Yes, I usually leave it at my Uncle's place. I had to go get it."
There was a moment of awkward staring and a small part of Titus that realized that Hel looked pretty and another much larger part that was going to slit his wrists later in the bathtub for thinking it. It took him a moment to trail down the soft black fabric and lace until he finally came to her boots......her boots.
"What are those....?" He asked with a hint of irritation, his long fingers pointing to the offending article she was wearing. One of these things was not like the other.

Titus owned a car.
A car.
Hel had only heard about those in passing…she had never seen one before in person, much less this close up…and she was apparently going to ride in it.
Cue country mouse in the city feeling.
The ghoul approached the vehicle, still in awe, and reached out to place her hand on the cool, hard metal. Her mouth was hanging open as she ran her hand down the contours of the hood. Holy Jack. “THIS IS JACKIN’ AMAZING! I have never seen a car before!” She suddenly exclaimed, whipping her head around to stare at Titus, and her excitement fell as he seemed to be pointing at something on her…
Hel looked down, her brows furrowed. Was she about to bust out of the top of this dress or something? She then realized he was pointing at her foot wear. “…Uh…They are boots.” The duh was heavily emphasized in her tone, as if she was talking to a stupid person. “I wear them everyday. You have seen them before. They are not new.”
It’s okay Titus, Hel knew you were slow.

If Titus hadn't been so strung up about the damn boots Hel had decided to wear with her ensemble he might have been amused with her childish awe struck expression over his car. Too bad the boots had his full attention.
"What I-," He made a face that said he was clearly not amused with her tone. "I know what they ******** are but why are you wearing them? I asked you to dress nice not look like you're ready to curb stomp someone."
He looked up toward her face again and then angrily down at the boots. This had to be a joke. A terrible terrible joke. He was already picturing the things his Uncle was going to say. What would he think? This wasn't going to work.
"Don't you have, you know, normal dress shoes?"

Excitement about car…gone for now.
Hel spun on her heel and placed her hands on her hips. “I am wearing them because it would be stupid to show up shoeless!” She gasped, and then stomped her foot indignantly. “I did dress nice!” She scowled. “What is wrong with looking like I am going to curb stomp someone!? It just means I am capable of taking care of myself, and that is a very honorable trait where I come from!” She huffed. “What are dress shoes? Boots like these are the only footwear I own!”

"Oh come off it you only dressed half nice. Sure the dress looks good but...those," Titus almost looked disgusted as he gestured to her boots again. It was obviously a losing battle though. They didn't have time for another shopping run and if she didn't have anything else to change into...boots it was. What had he gotten himself into?
"And dress shoes are something that would match the dress. For Jack's sake. You just had to have a bra that matched when its not going to be seen." He hoped. "And yet you didn't think about -" He just cut himself off pinching the bridge of his nose between his forefinger and thumb. "Never mind let's just go."
He gestured toward the car before fumbling in his pocket for the keys. A moment later there was a beep, the lights flashing and Titus waited for Hel to move.

Hel genuinely looked offended. She really did put forth effort for this…which was pretty amazing in itself, since they weren’t even really dating. She was so offended; she didn’t even have anything to say, and just glowered at the demon as she crossed her arms and jutted out her lower lip in an angry pout. The look on her face said it all. Dig your hole deeper, Titus, see if I try at all again.
What picked her mood back up though, was that she ended up winning the unintentional battle of the boots. She let her arms drop, and then froze in a battle stance as the car beeped and then the lights flashed. Car excitement back!
“….It TALKED!!” Hel exclaimed in awe. “What did it say!?” She looked over at the demon, running her hands along the hood again, and when he said ‘let’s go’ well…Hel climbed onto the hood and sat there. “I am ready!”
She was serious.

There were no words to describe the dumbfounded look on Titus' face as Hel exclaimed that his car had spoken. Was...she being serious? If anything she looked serious when she neatly took a seat on the hood of his car and proclaimed she was ready.
"Are....you serious?" He just had to make sure. "I mean what are you ready for a car show? Stop joking and let's go." Once again Titus gestured to the side of the car where there were doors and everything. Surely she knew how this worked.
He even made his way to the side as an example and waited seeing if any of this would click. What kind of backwoods place did she come from anyway?

“…Uh…ya?” Cars were like wagons, right? Take a seat wherever possible? Seems…not? Hel looked at Titus like if he was really being serious now, and her brows furrowed.
Hrm…well…there were two seats in the car…but…really? Such a large vehicle and it could only seat two beings? That seemed rather dumb. Regardless, Hel slid off of the hood and stared at Titus and then at the car. Okay….seats it was. Of course, Hel couldn’t do anything the normal way though, no. How was she supposed to know where the doors on this thing were, anyways? It was getting dark outside, and the car was black! So Hel did the next best thing. She did a small running start—
Then dove right through the car’s (luckily down) window and landed in a heap in the car interior with her legs in the air. Thank Jack she was wearing her black bloomers under that dress.

It seemed he had finally gotten through. It was a relief when Hel slid off the hood and headed to the passenger door but nothing could ever be so simple. Just as Titus had opened the door on the driver's side Hel dove in through the window on her side and landed in an odd heap. Already Titus was regretting coming up with this idea and miserably pressed a hand to his face dragging it downward like he was in agony. When was this going to end?
Instead of commenting on her...interesting entrance Titus slipped into the driver's seat and turned the car on. It roared to life the engine purring as he lightly touched the gas. When he was satisfied he buckled himself in a waited for Hel to get situated.
"Just so you know you're bloomer covered a** goes in the seat, Kidget. I hope they at least taught you that in whatever rock you crawled out from under." He grumbled batting away a shoe to make sure she didn't kick him in the head.

Hel immediately sat straight up, her short chopped locks thoroughly tousled and sticking up in all different directions as the car purred to life.
She looked around now at the dashboard and all of its buttons as her mouth hung open. After a moment she shook her head, and shifted, finally settling herself into the seat. “Uh, where I come from Titus, the best vehicle is a wooden wagon with four large wheels to be pulled by two large skeletal horses. There are no cars where I come from!” Her attention drifted back to the buttons.
“What are all of these for!?” She cried, and instead of waiting for an answer, she went ahead and started touching them. One button made the windshield wipers go, one button turned the music up, one button made the vents kick out air harder, one button made her seat heat up, one button her window go up and down, and another and another and another.

"They all - Ah what are you-," Titus jumped as his windshield wipers came to life. He scrambled to rectify the issue but Hel had already moved on to the next button her fingers could touch. By the time the windshield wipers were off he was being blasted out with music and bass. "Why are-" Grabbing the volume knob he turned the music down only to get a blast of cold air to the face.
'Would you-" He was struggling to turn the settings back to normal his rear suddenly feeling like it was on fire as his seat heated up a little too quickly. "Jacking -" Button after button he followed after her trying to set things right. It seemed like his car was going mad. All at once the windshield wipers were going, the horn was blazing an alarm, the lights were blinking, the air was rushing at him like a hurricane, and his butt felt like it was on a grill. In the end he finally smacked her hands just as the hood of the car popped up and started to pull back to make the sports car into a convertible.
"STOP TOUCHING EVERYTHING! Merde!" He cursed a bit more in french until he got everything back to the way he liked it. By some cruel fate he hit the wrong thing and his airbag deployed right in his face. There was a moment where he didn't move until he finally began to struggle in frustration his horn catching the air bag and popping it with a loud bang. He fought the air bag down and nearly ripped it from his steering wheel and crammed it behind his seat before he turned back around and gripped said steering wheel with white knuckles. Now Hel wasn't the only on with tousled hair. It looked like Titus had just gone through a turbo dryer with the setting on '******** me up please.'
"Are you done?" He asked in a surprisingly calm voice. Maybe a little too calm.

Hel only stopped touching once she had touched all the buttons…well, almost. Hel’s last button pushing was for the glove box, to which she looked inside, riffled through the contents, and then closed it. Just in time to see Titus pop the airbag with his horn, and the ghoul went a bit eyed as she stared at the demon, her lips pulled into a thin line.
Oddly enough, Hel did respond really well to ‘too calm’ tones. She knew she was in trouble when a calm tone was used. The ghoul had the grace to look a bit sheepish, and she was still and quiet for a long moment before she reached out and smoothed down some of Titus’ hair. After fussing with it for a few more moments, she folded her hands on her lap and sat rather pretty in the seat for once.
Touching nothing.
“Ya.”

The demon sat surprisingly still as Hel fussed with his hair before she sat back in her seat with her hands in her lap. His eyes turned toward her though nothing else did as he eyed her sheepish expression. He didn't buy it for a minute but let it slide. They were already going to be late after all the shenanigans.
"Buckle up." Was his simple and curt instruction but he gave her no time to do so as he kicked the car into high gear and took off into the street. Titus wasn't one that had a sports car just so he would have something that looked nice. No, it seemed like he had the car for the pure need for speed. True it was easy enough to get around while flying but if he was on the ground he was going to go fast. The buildings passing them by were almost a blur and when they went over a hill there was a brief feeling like the car was flying. The only time Titus remotely slowed as at the turns. It didn't seem like he was concerned about hitting anyone. They would just reappear elsewhere right?
