What do you think of The Twilight Saga?
I am personally tired of it already...

I read the books about 5 years ago, and I thought they were pretty terrible. When they started making movies I didn't even bother to watch them because if I didn't like the books I definitely wasn't going to like the movies!
I'm glad it's over but I feel like people are going to continue to craze over it for a while yet...

Twilight's the worst movie/book series in the world. They made vampires and werewolves look like always panting, low taking overly dramatic people. I mean...SERIOUSLY! It's annoying...and it's stupid.
Glad it's over though...I don't need anymore Twilight fandom. -.- In any case, I went to the movie theaters last week and saw Wreck-it Ralph. Best movie ever! biggrin IT BEATS TWILIGHT BY A LAND-SLIDE! >: D

I'm so ******** glad the last movie is out, over and done with. Hopefully this s**t will lose popularity quickly. Even Robert Pattenson is happy its over.I've only read the first chapter and summary of the first book. That was enough for me. I've read fanfiction better than this s**t.

Also not a fan of the whole love triangle concept the wolf chasing her around only for her to ditch him to with vampire. It only got worse when she had a baby.

That part...just grossed me out. Because I mean really....Do the fans even KNOW what damsel-in-distress Bella and always panting and incredibly stupid Edward did to get that baby...? It's just...ewwww.... neutral XD I love the characters! They're amazing! My favorite part of the movie is when Felix got trapped in that jail cell and tried breaking out, but only fixed the bars making him unable to escape...LOL "Why do I fix everything I touch?!" - Fix It Felix Jr. lololol.....

I loved the books to pieces. The movies were a huge disappointment. The last one being the worst of all.

sister forced me to read the first book. EW. i managed to get out of watching the first movie because it was late and i had school the next day. then she made me watch one of the movies at the closest IMAX theater. hated it and lost my hearing for several weeks. Up tells a better love story in eight minutes than that did in 500k words and/or 5-too-manymovies

I've read all four books, just so I could argue points when a psychotic fan came at me. It wasn't horrible, there was interesting parts (as in, parts where I laughed out loud at how absurd some scenes were. Example: "Edward climbing into Bella's room and watching her sleep" I had a serious mental image of Santa Claus v2.) Regardless, I have read MUCH MUCH better books. And that's probably why Twilight seems so horrible. If you compare it to Harry potter, YES TWILIGHT SUCKS. Big time.
And if you look at majority of fans, well. A good percentage confessed they hadn't even read Harry Potter, or other great series--they've read Twilight and probably a bunch of other teen romances. And with those comparisons, Yeah, I could see how Twilight would be "the best thing ever". I've read those teen romance books--predictable s**t. "HE LOVES ME? HE LOVES ME NOT." x 10.
TL;DR? Twilight isn't totally eye-burning. But I could name MANY books superior to it.

I tried my best to read the series. When that didn't work out, I tried to watch the movies. Finally, I just gave up xD I think that the problem was that I couldn't understand the mentality of Bella.

I don't get what's the big hype about Twlight. I've watched the starting parts of the first movie, read a few pages of the book and found the whole thing to be a waste of time. Vampires aren't supposed to be "oh, what are you feeling now?". They're more of a "Blood, give me blood"; violent and messy, just the way I like them.

You are the apple...
I read the series right before it became popular, and while I would the story itself as a whole is halfway decent (the fighting portion, not the love portion, love portion is stupid and ridiculous), from a writer's perspective it's absolute crap, not to mention, as others have said, there are scenes that are just ridiculous.
The movies (I've seen the first three as I had an old girlfriend who was a fan) have such terrible acting, it seems practically satirical. Pattinson hates the series, so I wouldnt doubt his portrayal of Edward was satirical, but every other actor...I just dont even know what to say...It seemed like the only decent acting were from minor characters like the old guy, I forget what relation he was to Jacob, but yeah...
The love portion is, in Edward's position, obsessive, creepy, and stalkerish; and in Jacob's position, emotionally abusive. And millions of females, from young to old, find them attractive? How the hell?
All around horrible books and movies, with a barely decent story in terms of the action, not the love.
Also, a vampire is dead and has no blood, how the hell did Edward get it up to have a baby?
and I am your core.
