Starbucks One of the 171 Starbucks located in Manhattan, this particular shop is big because the waitstaff are all very attractive college students. Every morning about two thousand people come here for their daily fix of caffeine.

"You've got to be bloody kiddin' me." For the third time that day Trix was asked out by some random college kid. THE THIRD TIME! All she wanted to do was sit here in the cafe, get some snap shot sketching done, and maybe take a few lattes home with her. AND AGAIN, some random guy came up to ask for her number. She smiled up at the stranger, he was a bit attractive. Still, she got the feeling the only thing he wanted was to slide into home base so to speak. "Sorry love, got a bit too much on me plate to deal wif the likes o' you. Maybe try the girl over a few tables." Winking, Bee returned to her work, shading the portrait of a waiter working on the whip cream for a Caramel Frappuccino. The next boy to walk up was getting a charcoal end in his eye.

The door to Starbucks opened, and two more people walked in; one of them was nearly a foot shorter than the other, and she had long, bushy red hair and blue eyes. The other, a man in his twenties, had those same blue eyes as well as sideburns that were the same shade of red as the girl's hair; his actual hair couldn't be seen as he was wearing a flat-cap. Both of them had wide grins on their faces as they moved inside, and they were speaking in a language most Americans wouldn't recognize: Irish Gaelic, but they interspersed this with English, and both of them spoke with heavy Irish accents.
"I'mma go get us some drinks, bro," said the girl, and she moved over to the counter to order her and her brother's drinks, humming a Celtic song to herself. But what would make this girl interesting to Beatrice was that she was emanating a powerful, light green magical aura that created a semi-transparent dome around her and had a radius of twenty feet. The aura itself was emanated most strongly from the body of the girl herself and went out from there, always staying at that twnety-foot radius.((Shroud, having your character make fireballs, even for his own amusement, in a Starbucks is a very, very, VERY bad idea. What, does he want to freak out the patrons or something?! So for the sake of the thread I'm ignoring that bit. Also, wearing even some of his armor would make him pretty damn conspicuous, so I suggest changing that. You have to remember that the vast majority of humans on the planet have no idea about the Paranormals; even those that have magical ability don't know in some cases.))

Trix looked up, planning on catching a refill when the sound of crisp, Irish Gaelic entered Starbucks. She caught sight of the couple who entered the cafe. Well, the had the look of a Celt. Especially what with the hair. And...was the girl glowing green?"Well, tha's in'erstin'." Bee murmured to herself. Most humans gave off an aura, but not one reaching that far from their body. The girl seemed to be within a green bubble...and so was everyone else. Trix blinked, clearing the Sight from her eyes.
Who'd a thought she'd find another person from the British Isles running about? And perhaps not entirely normal, either. Interesting didn't cover it. Maybe it was just her lucky day.
Rising from the table, sketchbook open and charcoal abandoned, Trix headed over to the counter and fell in behind the red haired girl, passing her companion on the way. " 's not very often ya find another Celt in Starbucks. Well, not this side o' the Atlantic." She flashed the girl a smile while the barrister reached to make the stranger's drinks. Something was telling her that this girl was good, in the 'girl scout' sort of way.

Abby looked to Trix and gave a smile.
"Oh, no, it's nice alright! Hello ma'am, I'm Abigail, Abigail O'Connor." the girl said, smiling and extending a hand for a handshake as the other Celt put a hand on her shoulder.
"S'right, Abbs. An' I'm Aiden. Aiden O'Connor. Pleasure t' meet'cha, gorgeous," the man said to Trix, flashing her a flirtatious grin, and Abby rolled her eyes at this as she got her and Aiden's drinks.

Trix shook Abby's hand and flashed her a grin as she introduced herself." 's a pleasure ta meetcha Abby." She handed her glass to the barrister, who hurried to fill it with the hot coffee and turning to grin at who she guessed was Abby's brother."Aiden was it? 'm Beatrice MacKenzie, tho' people who compliment me like that can call me Trix." Winking at Aiden, who she figured was fairly attractive as well, she grabbed her drink from the harassed looking tender and turned to her table. "Wouldja care ta join me fer a spell? Promise I dun't bite...well...too often anyways." The invitation was followed by another smile and incline of the head.

Aiden just gave a grin and a tip of his flat-cap. "Well, I reckon we can spare th' time, right sis?" he asked, and Abby rolled her eyes again, but smiled to Trix.
"Yes ma'am, I figure a sit-down would be nice," she said, before looking to Aiden. "Ya do know if Mum saw ya right now she'd force ya t' do dishes fer a month."
"Nah she wouldn'," Aiden replied. "But if you happen t' see a boy ya like..."
"Oh come off it!"
Aiden just grinned further as Abby blushed as red as her hair.

Trix chuckled at the antics of Aiden, who had gotten Abby to blush as pretty as a summer sunset. Settling back down in her seat, she gestured for Aiden and Abby to join her and took a sip of the hot coffee. From what she could sense, Abby was friendly enough, and Aiden none the worse.
"So tell me, which part o' Èirinn are ye from?" They certainly weren't Scottish. Unlike the Americans who think one Celt sounds like the next, Trix could hear the difference in their accents from hers. They were Irish, not Scottish.

As Aiden and Abby took their seats with Trix, Abby piped up first.
"I'm from Tuam, in Galway," she said. "Aiden an' th' rest o' me siblin's 're from Dublin an' th' surroundin' area."
"Yeah, we moved to Tuam fer a little while t' see what it was like, an' after Abby was born we moved back t' Dublin. I think she was like... What, five?"
"Yah," Abby said with a small nod.

"Tuam an' Dublin eh?" Trix's brows arched a bit. "Well then you are the real'uns aren't ya? The last Irishmen I met'd ne'er been to Dublin. I'm Scottish an' I've been to Dublin..." she shook her head. That poor bloke barely spoke a lick of Celtic either. "An' ya moved from there ta New York? A bit o' a jump ain't it?"
After a moment she pulled out her charcoal and chuckled. " m askin' a lot o' questions...Sorry 'bout that, occasionally I forget ta let people answer."'

"Ah, s'alrigh'. Truth be told, none 'o us have ever been off the island before comin' t' the US, an'-- Wait. Did'ja say that 'Irishman' ya met had never even been t' Dublin? Bah! Yer only Irish if yer from th' island." Aiden said, and he readjusted his flat-cap a bit before giving.
"On that we can agree..." Abby said absently, sipping her drink. "Anyways, we came here 'cos our brother Johnny got himself a job with one'a them big computer companies. He was always good with that sorta thing."

" 's a nice way ta get here. Easier than 'ow I did anyways. You've got a lot o' family from the sounds o' it." Absently she began to sketch, naturally picking the closest subjects, that is Abby and her brother. Her own family remained in Aberdeenshire, and of that, she was the only child.

Aiden nodded. "Yeah, that's about right," he said. "I'm th' eldest 'o seven kids. Abby here's th' youngest."
Abby grinned and nodded. "Yeah. Suffice it t' say, our lives're pretty busy. Always somethin' t' do around th' house, whether it be chores or foolin' around. Mickey an' Sean make prank stuff, actually. their antics drive Mum up th' wall--"
"But Da thinks they're a right laugh." Aiden chimed in with a big grin.

"Sounds like a riot." Which, of course, Trix was okay with. Riots were fun. "Seven siblings seems right shy o' a constant party." she flashed a quick grin at Aiden and Abby before returning to her sketch. The flat cap was currently being etched into the paper, alongside Abby's smile.
