It had been a while since Bazzite had seen his buddy Virtus. Since he wasn't aware whether Negaverse agents and Dark Mirrors could communicate easily or not, Bazzite took to finding Virtus the old fashioned way - asking around. It seemed as though lots of people knew Virtus. Hell, some people sometimes wondered whether Bazzite and Virtus were identical, just on different teams! Bazzi found that funny and laughed when he thought of it. It took a little time to locate the Dark Mirror Senshi, but when Bazzi did, he couldn't wait to tell Virtus all about his promotion. Would Virtus be proud? Did Dark Mirrors care about the Negaverse? Eh. It didn't really matter. Virtus was a cool guy in Bazzite's book. So was Remarque and Aurora and all the other coolio Dark Mirrors he'd met. When the blond was spotted, Bazzite shouted and waved with enthusiasm. "VIRTUS! DUDE! .... DUDE!"

Virtus was feeling much better now, thinking he had a good idea about his future now. He knew what he was going to do, and he was going to enjoy it. He just needed to make sure that he could do it without making anyone upset, because the very last thing he ever wanted to do was that.
Or disappoint someone.
Or worse, both.
He was padding along, trying to figure out how to do his patrols without drawing fights to him so he could continue to avoid them and live up to his new goals, when he heard and felt a familiar Nega nearby. He turned to look at Bazzite and gave him a bright smile, waving enthusiastically.
"Hi Bazzite!! Wow, you look different!! You look fantastic! Congratulations!"

When the captain caught up with his Dark Mirror counterpart, Bazzite noticed a difference in the blond too. "Oh hey Virtus, you promoted too! Nice hood n' stuff, man! When did this happen? How you been? The nasty White Mooners haven't done anything bad to ya, have they? Cuz if they have, well..." Bazzite made an angry face and punched his fist into his other palm. "Now that I got more power n' everything, I wanna protect my friends! Like you n' Beni n' Mesolite n' all of them, you know? That's my goal! Get stronger and protect people cuz... well... I dunno how smart I am. The Negaverse is doin' this whole regroup-y, revision-y thing and I dunno how well I'm gonna do but I'm gonna try my best!" Nodding to himself, he elected to talk to Beni about the whole reorganizing thing later. "Anyway, whatchu been up to, Virtus?"

Virtus nearly forgot that he was a super now, as happy as he was to see Bazzite and his new look. And he could feel the difference in the level now, which was great to him. It was so impressive, and he felt an honest swell of pride that they both had advanced.
It was amazing!
And he had known they could both do it, of course.
"It was a little while ago, but I am still not used to it! I'm sure you must feel the same, or maybe you're a natural at it. You always seemed like a really talented fighter!" Virtus meant it: he knew Bazzite had a lot of dedication and gumption in him.
"Protecting people is great! I want to heal them! I mean. I am not a very good fighter, so I think my place is to use my powers to keep other people strong, and to help them if they need me. You know, if they get hurt in a fight. I can heal them. That's what I've been focusing on recently."

Bazzite nodded alongside his buddy as they walked. Things seemed peaceful tonight. "Yeah, my promotion was recent too. I'm still not used to it or my new sharp weapons. I've poked myself quite a few times on 'em!" He gave a chuckle so hard that his shoulders shook. Who would have thought - a ninja who hurt himself on his own weaponry? Well, one had to start somewhere. Healing people? "Hey Virtus, could you do that before? You know, heal people? Is that your super new magic you got because'a your promotion? I bet you're real super valuable to the Dark Mirrors now, huh? Are there any other healers or issit just you?" Bazzite thought to himself for a moment. "You know, the Negaverse is real big and I dunno how big the Dark Mirror clan thing is, but there's only like one other ninja I know about and he's real super powerful. He's a General-King! Can you believe that? That's super strong."

"If I had anything sharp I would probably lose an eye!" he laughed.
Definitely lose an eye. And maybe a few fingers.
Thankfully, he was not trusted with anything pointy or dangers, and he had no reason to be in a fight with a weapon in his hands. He was also not blessed with any magic that could backfire on him or anyone on his team. Instead, he was rightfully given magic that could heal those that were hurt.
And nothing else.
"I could heal before, but it got better now. I can heal more, I think, though I don't have much practice with it." in fact, he seemed to use it more on his enemies than he did his allies. And that was out of guilt. He didn't think there was another healer on the team but then he did not know exactly.
"I think you'll be the next strongest ninja! And you can both be super strong! You seem to be on that path already, right? I know you can do it!"

"You don't have much practice healing?" Bazzite frowned. Now that he was a captain, he was expected to help train people and keep everyone in line as much as possible. Give them goals, help them focus. Well how was he supposed to help Virtus with his healing? He screwed up his face while pondering this, stopped mid walk and pulled out a shuriken from his pocket. He held up his palm, raised the shuriken and gave it a quick slice. "Okay ooowwwww but... here you go, Virtus! Here's some practice so couldja you know fix this cuz it kinda really hurts!" Truthfully, he didn't think this through very thoroughly but he believed in Virtus! He was simply doing his duty as a captain, right? Beni would be proud! ....maybe.

Virtus looked surprised when Bazzite cut himself with his weapon.
"Oh no, what are you doing! That has to hurt!" he knew that the other had a good reason for it, and that made it okay, but it was still a painful thing to do to one's self! That was very surprising to him but he felt a lot of honor, really, that Bazz would injure himself just so Virtus could heal him.
He quickly reached out and touched his hand to Bazzite's arm, just under his wrist.
"Exura Sio!" he called, and a warm feeling moved through Bazzite's arm. The wound closed up slowly, and since it was not very deep it was easy enough for Virtus to heal without having to take any of the damage on to himself. His spell would have failed and he would have had to step it up if it had been more serious.
He smiled brightly, as he always did, as if he was surprised it worked.

Color Bazzite amazed. " Woooooooooooow!" The captain looked closely at his now completely healed hand. The magic made his arm very warm and his blue eyes had stared in amazement as his skin knit together so neatly... like it never even happened. Was this the magic of senshi who sided with the Negaverse? Could more of them do that, or was it just Virtus? In any case, Virtus was now exactly one million and a half times more useful than he was before. Did anyone else know about this!? "How did... dude, how'd you do that?! That's so super cool! Do the other guys know about this? You're like... you're like a battlefield medic! DUDE. Your higher-ups gotta know about this cuz this is like... soooo super useful! Can you do broken bones and stuff or issit just cuts and scrapes?" Who knew what kinds of opportunities Virtus could get with this kind of skill? The captain was pushing at his hand, the unbroken skin yielding to the pressure but not splitting open again like stitches would. Virtus was better than a doctor now!

"That's just what my magic does!" he said brightly, bouncing a bit. It really was awesome to see something that hurt and was not good just heal up and go away. He could take pain away, and he could make people better!
That was exciting. He really needed to use the power more, but on the converse to that was that people would need to be hurt more.
And that was not something he would wish on anyone.
"I think I can do bigger injuries, I have my Super... power." That didn't come out right, but it did sound pretty great. "And I think it's stronger, but I don't use it that often so I'm not very sure! But I'm pretty sure I could do more if I had to! I really don't want you to break something so we can test, though." He laughed, though the concern was slightly real.
Who knew, with Bazzite?

Okay well... scratch falling off a building as a test. Bazzite frowned. But then he had an idea. Suddenly nestling himself up and onto Virtus, the captain made himself really snug to tell the senshi his super superb idea. "Okay so." he said in a hushed whisper, poking Virtus in the chest like one would see cartoon gangsters do. "I have an idea. It's brilliant." The captain looked around as if people were spying on him before returning to the plan. "So, since I'm a captain now, I gotta help train peoples and when you train peoples, people get hurt. Cuz they're untrained." Naturally."I think it'd be great for everybody if you were like... like a training medic. When I'm helpin' train people, you could be there too and get experience and heal wounds and practice n' stuff while everybody else gets some real world experience! Isn't that great? It's brilliant, huh?" It was totally brilliant. Bazzite practically beamed.

Virtus did not mind snuggles, and listened keenly as they conspired together. If that indeed was what they were doing. He looked at Bazzite and smiled eagerly, nodding his head a few too many times in his enthusiasm.
"That makes sense! I know I hurt myself a lot while I was training. And will probably keep doing it, but it just means you're trying really hard!"
Obviously.
"That is a really good idea! I would love to help if I can! Any time you think you might need a medic I will help! I would love to see your training methods too, maybe I can learn something!" It was a win win win situation, with a probably ten more wins thrown in.
"That is a brilliant plan! You're already such a good captain!!"

Bazzite blushed. "Awww, thanks Virtus. 'm glad you like the idea! It'll be great! Everybody wins and all that, you know? How's about this - I'll ask around an' see who needs training and we'll set up somethin' awesome and... and... it'll be great! You'll see! I'll get back to ya soon, okay?" Brimming with energy, the captain bounced about with renewed hope. "You're a great senshi, Virtus. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise cuz they're dirty liars!" With a salute, the captain was off into the night to find other people to train. Surely Beni would be proud of him for coming up with this! It'll help everyone! It'll be AWESOME.
