Aren't we trumpet players so loveable?
Hi, I'm new here, I also noticed nobody ever posts about trumpets. So I did.

Custom Andy Taylor M mouthpiece (My solo mouthpiece) Vincent Bach Corp 7C Pre 1976 (Backup mouthpiece) Vincent Bach Mt Vernon 5C mouthpiece (Sort of backup too deep for me) Dennis Wick 5B (My overall lead mouthpiece) Olds funneled 3 mouthpiece (Not sure, but it looks cool)

Actually, in the pieces we are currently playing, Trumpet either doesn't have the melody, or shares it with trombone, but Trombone has the melody 99% of the time with alto sax the other 1%. And then no music (except chorals) sounds good without drums.

Then again not all music is the same, and that music your playing probably is obviously trying to highlight your bands trombone section; duh? Well I'm pretty sure "drums" can't carry a melody or change pitch at any given point so regardless of what you say there isn't technically "music" for drums either. The same thing can be said for any orchestral, symphonic, jazz especially ensemble, if you want the whole 100 yards you need the trumpet section. Jazz was made by trumpet players for trumpet players, get over it. But in the end, all sections are technically "needed" but trumpet is on of the most versatille out there. c:

To be fair, All you need is brass and drums. Take the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble for example. Absolutely no woodwinds or string, but they are really good.
