It was a dark night, shadowed by clouds, but it was warm air. Perfect for all kinds and walks of profanity and amorality. Unfortunately, in Destiny City, that included a whole array of people and things who were after something other than sexual pursuits.
Things had been going just fine. Uuni had seen the strange beast. Usually, if you ignored them, stopped walking, or immediately entered a building, they left you alone. Animals were weird shits, and staying far away was always the answer.
Then, one of those weirdly-dressed terrorists had shown up. That's when everything had gone to hell.
"Stay behind me." Uuni's only thought was wondering how this girl kept a white outfit was so clean before Uuni found the wind knocked out of her. The wall and Pandora's strong, forceful hand had taken it from her.
"I don't think--" Uuni began to cough out, but the black, inky mass was heading their way and quickly. The mental map in her mind turned into a mess of images. Still, there was a narrow gap between buildings she could squeeze into. . .
The barreling animal received a swift kick to the throat as it lunged. Uuni let out a, "Holy ******** s**t," and wiggled along the side of the wall, as the animal briefly flopped and squirmed. Her 'hero' went after it, which was probably not the wisest move. What was she going to do, jump on its head until it broke?
-
Instead, Pandora found a strong set of magical teeth latching onto the base of her boot. The youma jerked its black-dripping head and landed the Senshi on her a**.
The strong slam of her fist into the animal's nose did not do as much as Pandora had hoped. The Senshi was left scrambling backwards, as vulnerable (or perhaps even moreso) than Uuni had been before.

Uuni would find her view of the proceeding obscured by a black glove as it reached down to her, palm open. A hand up. She was lifted effortlessly, set upright to look up a black suited body to an equally darkly shielded face. It tilted at the sight of her, before glancing to where the youma closed in on its senshi target.
"Come," came the low voice, the tall figure gesturing almost casually down the street, away from the battle. It was not a request, though the General-King's tone lacked any sense of urgency, head still turned toward the carnage that was soon to occur.
Howlite cared nothing for the life or death of the slaves to "Order," however, the Negaverse's proclaimed mission included the defense of Earth and its citizenry. They were soldiers, not thugs, and non-combatants had no place in the war, unless absolutely necessary.

People shouldn't just appear out of nowhere. The brunette took in an immediate, sharp breath and raised her hand instinctively. How long had the figure been there? The rush of oxygen centered her, and she squinted.
Uuni wasn't usually in the business of blindly following -- who was she kidding, yes she was. Completely obscured face or no, Uuni put her hand over the outstretched palm. There was a strong inward breath as she was righted and she took a quick, daring glance towards the snarling beast.
It had comfortably torn off one of those spurred white boots, and angrily ripped into the leather when a spur jammed it in the upper mouth.
Distraction! Time to move. Uuni hurriedly made for the direction she'd been pointed. Were those two working in cohorts? Guardian angels, maybe. Destiny City's deadly version.
-
"Don't go with her!" The redhead managed to gargle the words out as she stumbled onto her feet.
The presence had struck her immediately, like an uncomfortable wave of power. It made her heart pound, and her sweat began to smell of fear.
Her eyes, hardened, flicked briefly over the armored figure. She found it hard to look at them, instead focusing pleading eyes onto a would-be victim.
"She's going to kill you!" Or, simply corrupt her, but both were equally offensive to her Order-centered mind. Pandora was backpedaling, finding higher ground.
The shouting distracted the dumb, nasty beast from the shoe and he turned towards her again. No, things were definitely not going well.
The brunette hesitated.

Howlite paused, and that was a terrible thing. Uuni's hand was released, and the General-King turned to consider Pandora. It was, however, fortunate that she spoke, instead of choosing to crush her beneath a boot.
"She doesn't know if you will die if you come with me," The black figure's tone was eerily calm, "But I do know that you will die if you stay with her." A gloved finger pointed to Pandora's lack of skill when it came to dealing with youma.
It was fairly clear that Pandora was having a rough time protecting herself, let alone someone who had zero fighting abilities whatsoever.
"Make a choice."

Even before Howlite had opened her mouth, the stunned brunette had already made up her mind. Uuni hardly cared what the white-cowgirl wannabe thought, knew, or didn't know. It wouldn't help her.
"But I do know that you will die if you stay with her."
Fact.
Sure, this weird person in a mask could take her somewhere shadowy and do away with her She looked like she could just throw Uuni over her shoulder if she wanted. But, that youma would probably kill her slowly, in a gruesome manner, and Uuni liked tiny odds better than no odds at all. It was like Howlite had read her mind and told her exactly what she wanted to hear.
"Trust me!" came the redhead's loud voice. Miss cowboy hat was clearly nuts.
The brunette reached to squeeze an armored arm, realizing the masked person was not likely to feel it only after. "Get me the ******** out of here."
Maybe Pandora would have said something else had the youma not had her cornered on a fire-escape platform. She was more than clearly on the losing side of this. If it had been a movie scene, it surely would have cut to black.
