 It hadn't been a great day so far. Her brother and sister were no where to be found, probably off on an adventure. So Catori struck out on her own down the beach to the waters edge. She had enjoyed her swim but had to cut it short when the surf got a little to nasty for her liking. As she made her way in and out of the water Catori sighed and decided she wouldn't give up on this day yet. Heading inland she was determined to find something to do. The mare walked slowly observing as she went, besides the chatter of some smaller critters it was awfully quiet. She stopped for a moment and looked around slowly observing everything around her.

The scent of the waves was not something to be forgotten, and was as much a love of Amayo's as the smell of fresh snow. He hadn't broken tree cover though his eye's drifted and followed each crashing wave that he saw from the shore. it was such a beautiful calming site. well, until something caught his lime green orbs that sparked a deep curiosity.
He had heard of stories passed to him from his da of the Mers, he knew they existed. But never before had he lay an eye on one of there kind. At first he thought that it was a mare struggling to swim in the quickly strengthening surf, even move two hoof steps to go to her aid, but then he noticed how fluidly she moved. No way could she be struggling, and so he stood there, dumb founded and watched as she broke the last of the waters grip and made for land.
To say he was amazed was one thing, the boy was in shock. Before he could even stop himself his hooves had moved forward, pulling him towards her if only to watch for a moment or so more. His ears perked when she entered tree cover and he did his best to reach her if only to introduce himself, how neat it would be to tell father and brother of his first encounter with a water mare.
"H-Hello?" He asked out tentatively, he might be curious, but he was also shy and just now remembering that factor as his eye's hid under his thick mop of black bangs.

Catori had to steel herself as the stallion came forward out of the trees. Normally she would have moved away quickly but he didn't seem to be moving toward her with any malicious. If anything he seemed as curious as she was. "Hello there." Catori gave a warm smile and swished her tail slowly as she thought. "I'm Catori, do you live around here?" She was fascinated by his equally colorful pelt.S u r f For L o v e Sorry for being so late and such a short tag! School has killed my muse. Lets see if I can revive it muwahah!
