~Hunters~During the 1800's in a small town in England, young women were taught many things. How to be proper ladies, how to cook and clean, and how to defend themselves from Vampires. Throughout the town's history, Vampire attacks were found at least once every month. So over the years, women have been taught to defend themselves from attacks in an alley, to surprise attacks while they're sleeping. Even as the new generations continue to hunt each other, will some see through the other's species and fall into a forbidden romance? Facts To Know:Since women have been taught to defend themselves behind the scenes, the men in the area don't know about their training, since most of the attacks have been caused by male Vampires. Though, since some woman do need a bit of extra help training, only one or two men help the women with their secret training. Some refuse to have a men train them though, because they all still have their suspicions... Though there are some Vampires who do not wish to drink human blood, they can never be fully satisfied with animal blood alone. To get closer to the blood sources, they've had to disguise themselves as normal humans. So to not raise suspicions, they have developed over time the ability to eat food, normally pretend to breath, walk around in sunlight for long periods of time, etc. Along with learning to physically defend themselves, the women in the area have also learned other ways to fight or cause a distraction to get away. They have learned things from quick spells to create smoke and illusions, to developing special everyday items such as knifes or pocket watches that can paralyze or even kill Vampires. Rules:-You cannot kill someone else's character unless it's alright with them, but lets please refrain from having any deaths -I will allow swearing, but please keep it to a minimum -No god-modding -Please keep your posts PG-13, if you must please time-skip -Have fun! ~Character Profiles Can Be Found Here~

She open her tired, yet curious green eyes to see Claire, one of the maids who had been serving her since she was a child, standing next to her bed holding a tray of fresh juice and sweet pastries. "Good morning Miss Iris, I brought your breakfast", the loyal maid said with a smile that had been on her face since Iris woke up. Iris gave a tired smile and sat up in her bed. "Morning Claire, may I ask why you've brought me my breakfast? You know I'm fine at the table." "Yes, but I thought it would be nice for you to have breakfast in bed every once in a while, like when you were a child." Iris smiled and decided not to protest. Eating in bed now and then was nice after all.
After eating her breakfast and putting on one of her favorite dresses, a green one with sleeves that didn't fully close so they could blow in the wind on cool days, she headed for the front door. Today was her break day, no other nobles were coming to visit, she didn't have any work to do, she could just relax and enjoy the scenery. "Wait a minute Miss Iris", Claire said as she stopped Iris before she opened the door. "Yes Claire?", she asked. "You almost forgot this", Claire said with a smile as she handed Iris a normal looking dog collar. But Iris knew it was far from normal. It was a special collar that Claire made herself, it could paralyze a vampire and make them obey the person who put it on them's every command. This also included if the person told them to "die". Most people would be disturbed by the way Claire smiled innocently as she handed it over, but Iris was use to it by now. ...Sometimes. "I'm fine without it Claire, I have my knife strapped to my leg like usual. I don't forget these kind of things." "Fine, but at least take this then, just in case", Claire said as she handed Iris a small hairpin that could inject a slow-killing poison if it was stabbed into a Vampire, or even a human. Ever since the death of Iris's mother, Claire always made sure Iris could defend herself. She didn't want another one of her dear masters to die. Iris smiled at Claire knowing this reason, and pinned the tiny hairpin to the back of her head, hiding it inside one of her braids. "Thank you Claire, I'll be on my way now", Iris said as she opened the door, waved goodbye, and left.
After walking for about half an hour, Iris arrived at a park and decided to rest for a while before continuing to her destination. She looked around to see children running around, couples admiring each other, and a bird or two playing in a tree. 'It sure is a warm day', Iris thought to herself as she sat down on a bench near a girl wearing a beautiful lavender dress with her bangs over one eye. 'It feels nice', she thought as she glanced around some more. She then spotted one of the couples, sitting under a tree and having lunch. The man looked up at her as soon as she glanced over, and stared at her for a moment before returning to his conversation with his lover. Iris felt herself cringe at the man's gaze. She could tell he was a Vampire, and she knew why he gave a slightly, barely noticeable, confused look when he stared at her. It was her father's blood in her veins. Yes, she mostly had her mother's blood so she was human, but her father's blood was still in her. The Vampire was confused because he could sense it in her, but knew she was a human when he looked at her. 'He better not hurt that woman... I'll have Claire or William keep an eye on him...', she thought as a slight breeze blew her almost gold-like colored hair back. ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ✥Where I Am: The park ✥Who I'm With: Nobody ✥What I'm Thinking: 'It's times like this that can let me forget and remember my parents at the same time...' ✥{O.O.C: }✥

She had found out after she had been woken up by one of her maids, that she had no 'business' to be taken care of that day. She looked at her reflection in the tall full-body mirror that was kept next to her bureau. She was short, only five feet tall, with pale skin and white-blonde hair that looked more white than blonde. Everything about her seemed gray, even her eyes which where a pale blue/gray color. With a small sigh she stepped away from the mirror and walked out her bedroom door. She continued through the small house ignoring any inquiries the servants made. She had decided to go outside and relax. She headed out of the house. Some people stopped to stare at her somewhat odd appearance. She smiled shyly at whoever stopped offering a quiet "...Hello there." to anyone who stared. Once she made it to the park she let out a sigh of relief even thought she could sense the aura of quite a few vampires. She strolled along passing by a girl with long golden hair and was slightly jealous of its color. She passed by her wordlessly and continued her stroll. She saw a strange girl conversing with a vampire. Isobel raised her eyebrow in surprise and sat down on a nearby bench. When the young girl whisked the vampire away Isobel turned her attention to the woman dressed in purple. She seemed almost familiar somehow. "Hello...." She watched the vampires around them carefully analyzing their every movement. She didn't trust them at all, not after what had happened to her and Gilbert. Her gaze shifted back over to the other woman, who was applying some sort of "makeup" . "That's a lovely shade. It suits you." She said this as warmly as she could. She could guess what the real purpose was behind the makeup. She folded her pale hands on her lap.

Iris Colette Sanders ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎Iris glanced over and broke her gaze with the Vampire when the girl in the lavender dress next to her asked her about weeds. It was a very...random question, but Iris had a feeling she knew why the woman said it. "Why yes, I highly agree. After all, when they are older it's such a pain to get them all. Especially when it's so wild and then you can't find the main root", Iris said to the woman with a smile. She glanced over when another woman with beautiful unique silver hair, that seemed to have a slight tint of blue when the sun shined brightly on it, came over and said hello to the woman in lavender. 'Perhaps their friends?', Iris thought to herself as she watched some children begin a game of tag. It didn't take her long to spot the Vampires. 'It's quite a small world isn't it? Or maybe it just seems that way in this town', she thought with a small sigh. 'Yet I still can't find any whereabouts about Father...' As Iris wa just about to leave to continue on her way, a man suddenly grasped her wrist tightly. From the looks of him, he just seemed like any other drunk. But Iris knew better, she knew he just hadn't drunk in a while, or the animals didn't satisfy him fully and he couldn't take it any longer. "...Yes?", she asked. After a few pants, the man answered, "Please come with me...Miss...I want to show you something secret~..." 'Is this guy serious? That's the oldest, most used, uneffective trick in the book!', was all Iris thought to herself as she said to the man, "A secret now? Well... I do like secrets. Why don't you show me the way?" "Glady~...", the man replied as Iris resisted the urge to cringe as he took her hand, and eagerly led her down the street, and into a dark alley.
'Not suspicious at all...', she thought as the man came to a stop. "Here...we are~...", the Vampire said as he moved his hand from Iris's hand to her neck. That's when Iris sprung into action. She quickly removed the knife from her thigh, and plunged it into the Vampire's shoulder before he could pretend to blink. "Don't you know? It's people like you who get your kind killed more everyday", she said as the Vampire tried to remove the knife from his shoulder, but quickly realized the knife had paralyzed him. "Honestly, it gets tiring quite quickly after a while", she added as she pushed some of her hair back behind her shoulder, while pretending not to notice the other Vampire that was running in the direction of her neck. Before he could come three inches close to her, she quickly removed the hairpin and stabbed it into the neck of the Vampire. He staggered a few steps back, and then fell into a heap on the gravel ground as the poison began to do it's job. "Yes...quite tiring indeed", she said with an annoyed sigh. "Now why don't you be a good boy for once in your life, and tell me what I want to know before you end up like your friend there." "...W-what?!", the Vampire asked in slight pain while watching his buddy begin to choke on nothing. Iris stared coldly into the Vampire's eyes with the equal amount of hate, searching him for the truth. "What do you know about the current whereabouts of Alexander Todd Sanders?" ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ✥Where I Am: A dark alley ✥Who I'm With: Two vampires ✥What I'm Thinking: 'He better know something, or else I would of had to go through all this trouble for nothing.' ✥{O.O.C: }✥

What's more, she was supposed to start her 'career' of this 'vampire hunting' her Uncle calls it. Liesolette has gotten herself prepared as she was going to view her new envoirnment. She put on her clothes and coated her blade with poison then sheathed it into her cane. Liesolette made sure that her shoe blades were in working order. No mistakes on this job, or it would be the last. Soon, Liesolette headed out with advice saying the park was a good place to start off small. She walked out and headed for the park with the guide. Once she made it there, the guide left and she was on her own to explore and get around. Liesolette looked around, everything seem normal despite what was going on behind her back of three hunters doing their job. ~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~

Desmond Navarre A shot was fired from outside of the dark alley. It had killed the vampire before he even had the chance to say something. A dark silhouette of a tall man stood as he blew the smoke from his gun. "There's no need for info from him." He walked towards her. "He didn't have anything to share, anyway." He adjusted his mirrored sunglasses, looking down at her.

His friend that was still on the ground let out a few weak groans as he watched the other Vampire fall onto the gravel ground next to him, with his eyes wide with terror and shock. Iris, who was a bit surprised herself, glanced over as a tall dark figure spoke to her as he approached her while blowing the smoke from the recently-fired gun. She looked up at him as he got closer, seeing her reflection in his mirrored glasses as he adjusted them. "And just how do you know he had nothing to say? Who are you anyway?", she asked the man, who was quite suspicious to her.
She looked over to the side as she heard concerned civilians talking to each other, as they made their way towards the alley. Great, the sound of the gunshot attracted some of the citizens. She didn't have time to properly take care of the bodies, and she knew she didn't have much time to continue her conversation with the tall man infront of her. But she still wanted to know just who this guy was. "Unless you want to waste your time answering questions in a police station, come with me", she said as she began to quickly walk away from the alley while tucking the blade into her sleeve where it stayed in place, but remained well hidden and out of sight. She entered an old deserted building that still had some of the remains which showed that it used to be a cafe or a restaurant. She glanced around and observed the large building. The floorboards were creaky and rotten, a few wooden tables were covered with dusty cloths that were grayed and discolored from lack of use were scattered around, there were no doors that separated the connecting rooms, and a stone staircase led up to the second floor which was visible through a few worn gaps in the ceiling. The only living beings that seemed to be around were a few spiders that were taking resident on the webs spread out in the corners, and some cockroaches that would scatter around every once in a while. ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ✥Where I Am: An old cafe or restaurant ✥Who I'm With: A tall man with mirrored shades ✥What I'm Thinking: 'We can't afford to be seen here, though I don't really trust this man.' ✥{O.O.C: }✥

Desmond NavarreDesmond watched as the girl left the dark alley, smiling triumphantly as he disappeared in the darkness. By the time she made it to a dusty cafe, he had appeared from behind her. "You know, you don't really have to waste your energy for answer. Hell, even I have no idea about his whereabouts. By the way, I'm Desmond. I take it your that Iris Sanders chick I heard so much about."

"Nice to meet you Desmond, yes I am Iris Colette Sanders, but just call me Iris", she replied, though she still didn't trust him. She crossed her arms due to the strange cold air in the building, though it was very warm outside, and pressed her back onto a wall that's faded floral wallpaper was beginning to peel and fall off, revealing the grayed bricks behind it. "And even if no one knows of his current whereabouts, I still plan on searching for him", she said as she glanced up at Desmond with her bright green eyes that were filled with determination.
Iris could feel the slick touch of the blade against her shoulder, along with the poisoned hairpin that was still hidden in one of her braids. If this man, if Desmond, tried anything, she was prepared. She wasn't the type to easily trust and befriend someone. If her own father could end up hurting and betraying her and her mother in the end, anyone could. She could sense traits in him that were highly similar to a Vampire's. Plus, Vampires can't be killed that easily. The gun he used was able to kill the man so easily though, so that meant he had to know about them. The only men in the city that knew about Vampires were the trainers, and she remembered that when her maids tried to convince her to get a trainer instead of teaching herself, the name "Desmond" wasn't on the list. Not to mention that if someone with a gun was passing by and saw her holding a knife in a man's shoulder, wouldn't they shoot her instead of the man? Even if he wasn't a Vampire, that didn't mean he was perfectly safe to be around. Heck, for all she knew he could be planning to kidnap or kill her. She still had a few questions she wanted to ask him though.
"Also, I'm interested in knowing where you heard so much about me. I'm also interested in why you just so happened to be passing by the alley when I was questioning that man from before, and with that gun", she asked. Her fingers were itching the grab the blade in her sleeve that was only about two inches away since her arms were crossed, and her hands were resting at her elbows. But she held herself back, she wouldn't result to taking it out unless Desmond tried to do anything funny. ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ✥Where I Am: An old cafe or restaurant ✥Who I'm With: Desmond ✥What I'm Thinking: 'I can't let my guard down, who knows who this guy really is.' ✥{O.O.C: }✥
