Design Details

The tank is basically an M90 Scorpion (which is based off of the M1 Abrams) utilizing a LCAC Four Avco-Lycoming gas turbines, with 12,280 bhp, two shrouded reversible-pitch propeller, and four double-entry fans for lift. For all intents and purposes the engines can full-fill the lifting or propulsion roll and are compatible in these roles.

The LCAC uses roughly 5000 gallons in 5 hours, or about 1000 gallons of fuel an hour, although the load for the M4A1 is significantly lower, at around 27.6 tons compared to a total of 200. The operational range of the LCAC at this load is some 300 miles. Due to the reduce weight of the vehicle, this would theoretically put the range of the vehicle at some 2175 miles. However, due to the reduced fuel (500 gallons for the M1, 1000 gallons for this vehicle) the range is only some 435 miles; that being said, due to improvements with the 75 ton capacity engine (compared to 60 for previous LCAC models), the range of the tank is some 500 miles.

Because it utilizes a hybrid engine design, the tank utilizes 70% less fuel, which not only reduces the need for logistical support and their range from the tank, but also gives the tank some 3 times the range, at roughly 1500 miles. Still, it's fuel consumption is enormous, as it carries roughly twice the load of fuel as an M1 and similar tanks, at around 3 Tons of fuel per trip.

The vehicle is capable of cross country, road, and waterborn movements, although particularly rough oceans tend to cause problems. This allows the vehicle to be all terrain and travel over virtually any obstacles. Dust and other spray can become problems, although with cameras and overhead UAV plotting devices the tank can operate fine, even if driving "blind".

The Tank requires constant engine power to remain afloat, which can shorten it's lifespan in a region (although the fuel consumption is considerably less when still). The tank is capable of firing and existing when "parked", although the hover tank doesn't provide recoil buffer when utilized in this method.

Unlike the LCAC, the tank is much smaller, and doesn't require as wide as movements when moving; indeed, it can spin around in a full 360 without moving a direction. The tank can also move sideways, or any direction, with the right propulsion, avoid problems with similar tracked or wheeled vehicles.

The tank has tracks, although these can only accelerate the vehicle some 3mph, and only when "parked".

For all intents and purposes, the weapon has the same electronics, armor and firing designs as the M90 Scorpion.
