Rolled a One: Ice field : The temperature of the stadium suddenly drops several degrees (just enough so breath was visual and winter-wear is needed) as the stadium floor shifts for the upcoming battle. The floor turns into extremely slick ice which makes maneuverability, even simply standing, difficult. Randomly placed crystal-like pillars reach skyward from the frozen water, reflecting the florescent lights to all sides of the battle-field. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ICE type attacks

Cara entered the stadium with Spirit sitting on her head. A shiver was sent through both of them as they walked towards the center, the coldness of the arena trying to bite at them. Cara looked up at her bug-like dragon Pokemon and grinned. "You can do it Spirit, so get out there and kick some butt." Spirit gave a sound affirmation and sped off to the battlefield as Cara got into the trainer box.

The biting chill sunk into his bones as Rory stepped into the arena and made his way to the field. He could feel the Pachirisu on his shoulder shiver as they got closer. He admired the Vibrava his opponent had sent out; this region really had some strange pokemon but it made his job a lot more interesting that way.
"Go on," he encouraged Stella. She gave him a look before taking her place on the field.

Cara saw that she and Spirit had the first move so she decided to make it a good one. "Ok Spirit, use Rock Tomb!"
Spirit went right to work and summoned the icy rocks around her to gather and sent them hurtling towards Stella, planning on smashing and entombing the electric rodent.

Stella panicked as she was hit by the rocks and panicked even more when they tried to trap her. She did the best that she could to move the icy rocks away from her and get out from under them.
"Stella, use Bite!" Rory called, keeping an eye on the bug pokemon.
Stella climbed out of the pile of rocks and jumped up at the bug, digging her teeth in.

Spirit screeched at the bite attack and threw the rodent off of her. She flew away and collected herself before preparing for her next attack. "Use Earthquake!" Cara shouted, she wanted to shake things up. Spirit nodded and zipped to the ground and started vibrating her wings, which in turn, started to vibrate the cold ground beneath her light touch.

Stella watched as Spirit flew to the ground and waited to see what she would do. Her eyes widened as the pokemon managed to cause the earth to shake underneath her.
"You can do it!" She heard her trainer call to her and spared him a look to see his eyes were still trained on their opponent. She ran up to the bug again, this time discharging as much electricity as she could.

Spirit looked at Stella oddly. 'Was that supposed to hurt?' Spirit thought, as she looked at the Pachirisu.
Cara grinned and decided to offer her opponent some friendly advice. "Electric attacks don't work on ground types! You're not gonna get anywhere that way!" Spirit then flitted up into the air shaking off the ice particles that had fallen on her during her attack. "Let's hit 'em with some Earth Power, Spirit!"
The Vibrava nodded and focused her power on the earth under the Pachirisu. Suddenly, the frozen Earth underneath her suddenly thrust up and erupted with power.

Stella shrieked as the ground thrust up under her and did her best to stay up on the top of it once she settled back down.
The other trainer was right, Rory thought, he wasn't going to get anywhere if Stella continued to use her electric attacks. He looked at the Vibrava and smirked.
"Stella, use Grass Knot!"
The Pachirisu called back in agreement and unleashed the attack on the bug.

Spirit quickly dashed out of the way of the attack, her wings fluttering at a rapid rate. She hovered above the frozen field, unwavering in her determination to beat the rodent . Cara grinned, the battle was going great so far but she knew better than to get cocky. "Use Dig next Spirit!" She called out. Spirit heard the call and sped down at the icy field and broke through it, tunneling towards her foe. She soon sensed her directly above and rushed upwards, breaking through the crust right under Stella, her attack hitting dead-on. Rory groaned as the bug pokemon used Dig, once again hitting Stella. "C'mon, Stell! Keep going and use Grass Knot again!" he called to the Pachirisu.
Stella gave a cry as the attack hit and picked herself back up as she heard her trainer's call. She nodded to let him know she had heard his call before ducking around the icy field to unleash her attack on her opponent.

Cara winced slightly as the grass attack hit Spirit but was happy that it didn't do to much damage. Spirit rebounded from the attack quickly. She shook off the rest of the tangled vines from her and went on the offensive again. "Use Earthquake again Spirit!" Cara called out. "'brrrava!" Spirit called back and sped to the ground and quickly started vibrating the ground, making it rock and roll and quake beneath the paws of Stella. Rory cringed as he heard Stella shriek as the ground under her shook with the force of the bug's attack. "C'mon, Stella! Use Grass Knot!" he called to her.
