Let's Dance! Darling. The english Fire Emblem (Mystery of the Emblem): Heroes of Light and Shadow english patch is go! After all of the hard work, time, and dedication put in by the translation team, let's give 'em all a great big thank-you! So, Anyone gonna play it straight away? Have you already started playing it? Played the Japanese version? Thoughts? Concerns?

I don't have an emulator for DS games and honestly am not interested in getting one JUST for FE12 (especially since I DO have an emulator for the SNES and FE3 exists), so I likely won't be playing it any time soon.
But this is great news.

When I'm feeling less lazy, I might look up a walkthrough on YouTube. Although I get the feeling that any english patched run-throughs will be Let's Plays with Commentary... rolleyes

Because duh, legault.
And I'd argue that nogba is a fast, simple download. Also, while 12 is a remake of 3, they are not the same. I expect 12 will offer a fairly different experience.
I will be playing this... after Thanksgiving has passed and once I'm done fiddling around on Elibian nights.

As for me I'll TRY to play it...idk how well it will work though.

Well, I personally prefer focusing on and hearing out the game and not the people talking over it. Unless I'm looking for a comedic playthrough like Freeman's Mind or something.

Sweet! So the English path is finally out. This is fantastic news!! ^_^ You bet I'm playing this. Even though FE12 isn't technically a remake of FE3, I'm still looking forward to trying this one out. I'll have to search for an Ds emulator though.. I originally did have one awhile back. But a virus sorta struck my PC so just about everything ended up being deleted. >.>
I think no$gba was pretty decent if I remember correctly? I did find an earlier patch of the game once while I still had the emulator. The only parts that were really translated was the menu screen. It was sort of unplayable because it had a tendency to repeat the same scene in the beginning of the game for some reason. It was weird..
So with this new patch it should be pretty awesome! XP

However, that is good news to hear.

no$gba and Desmume are both good DS emulators. It really depends on which one you wanna use.
I might give this a try though I haven't played 11 yet.

Alright, I finally got around to playing a little bit of the game today. The music plays pretty well in the game. For some reason there's no sound effects in battles or in the menu screen when you select a command? I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that or not... Also the opening sounds sounds a little scratchy. Hmm... maybe the sound depends on the PC I guess.. I'm still trying to figure that out at the moment.
But anyways beside all of that, I think It's an interesting game so far. Really love the cameos from shadow dragon. =D

I, uh...guess I'm the only one playing on a flashcart? sweatdrop I've been waiting for this patch to come out for a very long time and I'm so glad it's finally out. The game is fantastic so far, especially the My Unit creation.

The different designs, hairstyles, and expressions for the unit you create is pretty fun. The character background is a nice addition as well.

You were having some trouble with the sound on your emulator, right? Do you have the latest version of it? I think that can help. If you're using no$GBA, you might want to try switching to Desume as well. I hear it runs better on that for some people.

I've got version 2.6a of No$Gba I believe that should be the latest version I think? It's mainly the opening that sounds scratchy and there's no sound effects in the game at all.The rest of the game music plays just fine for no reason. And yeah I tried Desume too.. just to see whether or not the problem would resolve. Eh, still the same result. The opening still sounds pretty scratchy... But I'm not entirely sure about the sound effects though like in no$gba? Edit: I just tested out Desume again to see if there was any changes at all. It actually has sound effects, but the game slows down for in between the dialogue conversation right after I created my unit.
