It was Thanksgiving. Wilson probably should have done something special for the occasion, but portals were still down. There was nowhere he could go and there was no way he could get supplies for an extravagant dinner. Clearly, there was only thing Wilson could do.

Watch Thanksgiving specials and raid the kitchen for leftovers.

Ignoring the low grumbling in the back of his head, Wilson plopped onto the couch in the hunter lounge. He smacked his forehead, then hopped off to put in the DVD. As the opening sequence played, he sunk back into the sofa with a bowl of popcorn nestled in his lap. On both of the hunter’s sides were a variety of other foods, ranging from plain sandwiches to candy to whatever snacks he could scavenge from the kitchen. The cupboards were significantly emptier now. Sorry not sorry.

He noisily munched away at popcorn as he watched.

There was a strange rustling from a nearby bush. Wilson's leftovers had attracted a wild Madeline.

> Fight > Item > Run

Decidedly not well acquainted with many of the other Hunters in Deus, Mads had resigned herself to the idea that thanksgiving would be spent with copious amounts of coffee in her system and her comic book collection to keep her company instead of food. But halfway through this brilliant plan, Madeline had decided that this was the most depressing thanksgiving ever and she was not going to spend it alone unless it was building a card castle in the middle of Ami's room and running for the hills.

So, escaping her bedroom in nothing but bunny slippers, short-shorts and an oversized t-shirt from a baseball game, Madeline wandered the halls like the ghost of thanksgiving eve. She had half her nose buried in a batman vintage comic book and her other hand buried knuckle deep in auburn hair when Wilson's stash of food diverted her attention and she proceeded to wiggle, jump, and hop her way to Wilson's side.

"What are we watching?" She asked, dropping down into the spot next to him and bumping his shoulder with a little smile. "And who taught you how to be such a thief? I'm ashamed you haven't introduced me sooner."

Cue stealing popcorn and settling in.

Thanksgiving with Wilson definitely one out over building card castles in Ami's room by a landslide.

'Ami noted that today was Thanksgiving, but didn't care much. It wasn't like she could have the good old fashioned turkey here on the isle-de-nothingness. Especially with the portals closed. That, and she didn't have much to be thankful for.

She dropped in with a pack of cards, one that she had never seen before. It had been stuffed in between the boards in her closet, and Ami had a sinking suspicion who put it there.

Luck would have it that she'd happen upon the culprit. "Madeline?" she asked, strutting up to the twosome and standing over the sitting Madeline. "Did you put these in my closet?" A pause, and then, "Again?"

It was Thanksgiving; something Lex hadn't celebrated for over five years. He was just walking down the halls, reflecting on the coffee and apology session he'd had with Ami the other day. She had apologized for slapping him, and he'd apologized for pushing her too far. Loose ends were tied, and they were still non hostile acquaintances - like all his relationships on the island.

Oh, speak of the strawberry blonde midget devil. With Wilson and Madelin. All people that he had first encountered under really weird circumstances. To engage? To not engage?

He'd just let them decide.

He walked past the group, coffee in hand, giving a little wave. "Happy Thanksgiving!"

Quiet footsteps made Wilson divert his attention away from the television screen. Still nibbling on popcorn, he automatically set aside the packages of food to make room for Madeline. He sunk deeper into the couch and fought back an amused grin. “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. There isn’t much to do for Thanksgiving, but I found some specials.” Wilson offered the bowl to Madeline so he could grab a bag of cupcakes. The hunter had moved onto bigger and better things aka sweets. “Me, a thief? I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Another grin as he elbowed her in the side.

He couldn’t stop himself from leaning to the side to watch the screen as Ami stood in front of Madeline. At least he glanced at the pack of cards. “Oh.” But as Lex happened to pass by with a cup of coffee, Wilson finally offered, “Want to watch TV with me? It’s not like there’s much you can do today anyways, right?” He half nodded to the empty space on the sofa. “Take a seat. Grab a snack.”

Ami's head snapped as she heard Lex's voice from somewhere beside the couch. She immediately sat down next to Madeline, finding a place to put herself before Lex could somehow awkward bring up something stupid about how "chummy" they were. Madeline would probably jump on any opportunity to call herself a friend, and Ami wanted to avoid that if at all possible.

"I had some files to do, but Charlie Brown was always one of my favorites," she admitted, light smile crossing her face. Nobody could deny the adorable charms of Charlie Brown, not even Ami. That, and she had tender memories of watching it and the Macy's Day Parade with her father when she was little.

Ami threw the pack of cards in Madeline's lap and quite blatantly ignored Lex's existence. Though his coffee did smell good.

Mm...TV? Lex liked TV, he supposed. Better to watch TV than to be in a possibly volatile stewing pot of Hunters, booze, and canned turkey (which was just a disgusting thing to think about by itself - who even ate canned meat?). Even if Ami was blatantly ignoring he existed - it was glaringly obvious - he'd rather sit in this nice quiet little group.

Silence was nice; comforting - as were food and company. He decided to stay for a while, watch a few thanksgiving specials.

Oh, Charlie Brown. Lex liked Charlie Brown for a good many reasons, but mostly for Woodstock. Woodstock was great - he was just this super chilled out bird who, if personified, probably was the coolest dude on the planet. Lex would totally be Woodstock's wingman.

"Sure, sounds fun." He said, taking a chair and a bit of popcorn. Let the awesome thanksgiving of leftovers and Charlie Brown begin.
