The weather had gone colder. Most of the people around the town were grumbling about it, complaining that the cold weather was horrible and saying that all their problems were because of the weather. For Remi the colder it got the more excited she became. It meant holidays and Christmas and the smells of wonderful meals and delicious desserts and gingerbread. Gingerbread would be everywhere and she wouldn't get as many strange looks wherever she went.
Sometimes Neena would complain that she was tired of the smell of gingerbread constantly around their home. With her more acute sense of smell she said that even after a shower or washing her clothes it would cling to her skin or the fibers in her outfit and so even if she left for a month she didn't think the smell would ever leave. Remi though would never get tired of her natural scent smell. She knew her mama wouldn't either. The other day she had accidentally caught her mom in her room, laying on her bed and sniffing her covers. Rem had had to bite her lip hard to keep from giggling like crazy and she still ended up eventually giving into her amusement and crying in laughter as her mom had burst from the room red faced and apologizing for her weirdness.
Now she relaxed in a cozy chair in the corner of her favorite cafe and she was sipping a gingerbread hot chocolate as she just gazed around. Normally she brought one of her favorite cookbooks or one of those cooking magazines the store sometimes had but today she didn't feel like reading. She wanted to relax and just people watch, a habit she picked up from the two women in her house. Maybe if she was lucky she'd run into someone to talk to.

Jiang, for one, wasn't especially upset by the change of the seasons- winter was lovely in its own way. That said, he much preferred to admire it from behind a well-insulated window, and with a nice cup of tea in hand. With that in mind, while his mother was busy coordinating a large shipment of cloth with several merchants, he'd asked Stefan to drop him off at a nearby café to wait. It’d be a much more pleasant way to spend his afternoon than listening to his mother bicker with merchants even more stubborn than she is. It was only unfortunate that he'd forgotten to bring a book today, but tea would do just fine.
While he was thinking Stefan pulled the car to a smooth stop, and glanced back at Jiang through the mirror. "Well, this one look okay? Pretty sure there's another a couple blocks down if you want." Jiang glanced out the window briefly, then shook his head. "No, this one will be fine, thank you." "'Aight, hold on then." He stepped out and around the car to pick Jiang out of the back seat, and after waiting a moment to let the boy arrange his warm woolen cloak tightly around himself, took them both into the warmth of the café.
It was a pleasant, homey-looking place, and though they were quite busy the staff were cheerful and efficient, and Jiang had his clawed hands curled around a steaming cup of oolong in no time. The problem made itself apparent as Stefan turned to find a seat to ditch Jiang on. "Err…" The pair glanced around the crowded café for a moment- apparently quite a few others had also decided to take shelter with a warm cup of tea rather than brave the chilly air. There were no tables empty, but several that only had one or two occupants. Jiang looked over the tables carefully as he considered his options, then quietly directed Stefan towards the far corner, where a lone girl who looked about his (apparent) age was sitting. Stefan picked his way through the tables until they stood next to the girl, and Jiang quietly cleared his throat. "Ah, please forgive my intrusion, but would you mind terribly if I took this seat? I hate to bother you like this, but as you can see this is quite the popular spot this afternoon."

Getting lost within her thoughts Remi hardly realized how full the cafe was getting and though she heard the noises and smiled toward them she leaned back and huddled into her jacket and into the seat. She had just been thinking about whether the shop would have another Christmas event when she heard a voice she started and nearly spilled the now lukewarm drink all across her lap and fingers. Biting her lip to keep from uttering silly curses at her fumble she shyly smiled toward the person who had caught her by surprise.
She started again, not as obvious this time, thankfully, as she realized this guy wasn't precisely human. His skin tone was too red and she couldn't help but notice he had either claws or was wearing some pretty sharp fake nails. But he was being kind, and she felt a warm happiness within her at the thought of company. "Sure! Feel free to take a seat! Will your ummm dad? Be joining us?" Feeling silly for asking she ducked her head and flushed brightly, staring at her drink. "I shouldn't have asked, sorry! I'm Remi by the way." Smiling up at them again she tucked a strand of hair behind her head and silently hoped she hadn't just made herself look too bad. She could loose a friend that way!

Jiang bowed his head in thanks, as well as he could anyways while still being carried. "You have my gratitude-" It seemed as though he was going to continue, but then he paused and raised an eyebrow in confusion as her question registered in his mind- father? What? After a moment, it clicked what she'd meant, and he glanced back at Stefan, who was making an absolutely horrendous expression. "Okay, that's it. I'm right outta here, before someone else thinks we’re related." With that he plunked Jiang on a chair, spun on his heel and marched out of the café.
Jiang looked remarkably unoffended by this, and merely took a sip of his tea before setting the cup on the table, and starting to fuss with his cloak to get comfortable. "Stefan is my mother's driver." he stated, as though it wasn't unusual at all to have a personal chauffeur. "I can assure you we are unrelated, though his reaction gave that impression already I am sure. Allow me to apologise for his behavior, he is rather… coarse, shall we say." After a final wiggle in the chair he was apparently finished getting comfortable, and flicked his hood off, grimacing slightly when it caught on one of his horns. After successfully dislodging the cloth, and a brief moment to straighten himself out, he turned his full attention back to the girl. "My name is Jiang-Chen. I am honoured to meet you, Remi. Again, you have my thanks for allowing my company this afternoon."

So that was......really really funny. Remi bit her lip again but couldn't help herself from giggling like crazy at the expression the man had made. He was so upset at being related to this boy? She hoped that didn't mean that he was bad or would be nasty to her. Nasty people were never fun to be around and so far Remi had really only met one. She couldn't really remember her name, it was not long after she had come out of her little cup and for awhile there her memories were kinda hazy.
"Driver?" She recognized the term, they were usually employed by the upper class but she hadn't ever known anyone who had the means to have one. Remi hadn't really even been in a car. Her mom said she sold it so that way she'd have some extra cash on hand just in case and it was an expense she didn't need. Twisting in her seat she smiled warmly at him, another soft giggle leaving her mouth. "Yeah I kinda guessed. He's funny. Why didn't he like that I thought you were related? You seem really nice." It was true. She had met plenty of kids but he was exceedingly polite. It seemed weird that anyone wouldn't like him.
It was as she was about the take another sip that she noticed his horns. Caught in awe Remi just sort of stared for a moment, wishing she could reach out and touch them. They were amazing! She had quickly grip her cup tighter in fear she might touch them without realizing and flushed a bright red, both at her behavior and the way he had said that. Honored? To meet her? "Jiang-Chen....it's a beautiful name. Nice to say too! Though there's no reason to thank me, I like having company." Tilting her head she felt her gingerbread clip hang dangerously from her hair and set her cup down to fix it and hopefully look at him some more without being obvious. She couldn't help but wonder if he was like her but.....this wasn't really the place for that conversation. Momma Lizzy had warned her against things like that. It was too dangerous anymore to just freely admit to being nonhuman. Instead she gestured toward him. "So what do you have? Your drink, I mean."

He nodded absently, taking another sip of his tea. "Ah, yes. The manor is a fair distance from the city, it would be very difficult without the vehicle. Stefan holds another job as well, part time, but for the most part he remains at the manor until mother or I need to go to town." As always Jiang discussed luxury like the weather- despite what he thought, he didn't really know much of anything about how the middle and lower classes lived, and never thought to speak modestly regarding wealth. "As for his demeanor, it is my personal belief that Stefan takes great delight in making himself objectionable. He seems to enjoy little else, at any rate. We actually get along fairly well- we have a common foe, you could say." Just a hint of a smirk showed on his face, before he concealed it by raising his cup again.
Whether due to reactions to his unusual appearance, or paranoia brought on by even more unpleasant events, Jiang had a very good sense for when people were staring at him. However, she didn't look hostile or disgusted, or any of the other warning signs he'd learned to look for in the general populace, and she didn't look like she was going to try and touch him like some kids had tried once (one had even tried to pull a scale from his shoulder, the miserable little cretin), so for the moment, he was content not to call her out on it. His brow furrowed slightly when she flushed so brightly, but before he could think much on it she'd begun speaking again- with complements, no less. He was visibly pleased. "Thank you, Remi. It translates roughly to 'river gem', in the language of a distant country. Your name is also lovely, if I may say so. Does it have a meaning as well?" He paused for another sip, then shook his head slightly in response to the second part of her statement. "Good company is always worthy of gratitude, I have found." He'd had enough experience with the bad kind, after all.
He paused to watch as she repositioned the clip in her hair, mildly curious about the accessory- he saw hairclips often in the marketplace, whether in shops or the stalls at the roadside, but had never thought in particular about how they'd look worn. He'd even bought several, but like the majority of his acquisitions, they were chosen for being bejeweled and shiny, with no thought to their actual purpose. Her question snapped him out of his musing, and he had to blink a few times before he could get his mind back on track. "Ah, today I decided on oolong. I admit I have something of a weakness for tea, of any variety. May I ask what you are enjoying today?" Maybe she was a fan of tea too?

Manor. He had a manor. That must be nice. Though Remi couldn't help wondering what a manor was. Was it just a big house of some kind? I mean from the sound of it it was at least a nice house. So a nice, big house? "Oh, well I'm sure you must umm well need him then. Doesn't your mom or dad drive you once in awhile? I've heard some people like that kind of thing." Fidgeting with her cup she wondered what it would feel like to drive. It must be nice, having such a powerful thing under your control like that. Knowing you owned it. If she had a car she wouldn't let anyone else drive for her.
Thinking of owning something of her own made her smile slightly and she swirled what was left of her drink around in the cup as she listened. "Why would he want to be? That sounds just silly. Trying to be like that." Pausing slightly at that she hesitated. A foe? He didn't mean that horrific thing did he? She didn't realize her hand was shaking until she noticed the ripples inside the cup and smoothly tried to cover it up by gripping it with both hands. Glancing at him again under her bangs she relaxed slightly. No, he wasn't talking about the monster, he wouldn't have been so relaxed about. Goodness but his smirking like that reminded her of Tango.....
Trying to dispel the thoughts of her crush she shook her head slightly and pushed her bangs back from her face. "Wow that's amazing! I wish my name had such a cool meaning!" Laughing lightly she wrinkled her nose. "I don't think it's lovely, but I like it. Momma never said if it had a meaning. It was just a name she liked, something that when she saw me she knew I needed that name. Of course she asked my permission! I said yes so it's not like I don't like my own name. It's different. Just like me!" Remi hadn't really figured out how that sentence would have sounded very strange to someone who had been actually born. To someone who wasn't a Scent. But since Lizzy hadn't exactly gotten that far in the parenting manual Remi still considered all lifeforms coming from an object and given life as a child. So of course all children got to ok their own names.
"Oh oolong? Yum! I like tea too but I usually only have it when I order some kind of sweet. It just tastes better that way." Grinning she sighed happily as she gazed down at her drink. "This is the reason I even come to this cafe. It's gingerbread hot chocolate." Blushing slightly again she gave a sheepish smile. "I have a bit of an addiction to gingerbread things."

It was fortunate that he hadn't taken a sip of tea just then, as he certainly would have choked on it trying to smother a rather undignified snort of laughter. To his credit, it didn't take him long to regain his composure- and he was again thankful that his embarrassed blush didn't show through the scales on his cheeks. "Ah, forgive me, but frankly the thought of my mother behind the wheel is terrifying. It truly is for the best that she chooses to hire someone to do it, for the safety of all involved." Jiang himself had never given the task much thought- like most forms of land based travel, it wasn't something he could do on his own- and why bother, when he'd never known anything but being chauffeured?
Back on the subject of Stefan, all he could do was shrug slightly. "I do not pretend to understand the thoughts that must go through his head. He does antagonize his aunt beautifully however, so perhaps he has simply found the method most effective for him." He paused briefly for another sip of tea. "Stefan's aunt is the housekeeper at the manor. We… do not interact well, shall we say." That was putting it rather mildly, actually. Jiang still tended to eye brooms suspiciously to this day.
His expression brightened just a little more at the further praise of his name. Jiang liked complements, especially when directed his way, though he didn't verbally acknowledge it again- bringing it up too much would look like he was fishing, pardon the pun. "Well, I think Remi a lovely name, meaning or no. You are fortunate that your mother could choose so well. It took mother and I the better part of an afternoon and an entire crate of books before coming to settle on my name." Given the circumstances, choosing or approving one's own name didn't seem odd to him either, though somewhere in the back of his mind he did know that most people didn't get that option- it was the same place in the back of his mind that knew that most people didn’t have as cushy a life as he did.
He swirled the last few sips worth of his tea around the bottom of the cup, watching the few bits of leaves swirl around- loose leaf really was the only way to go- and was silently thankful that Remi was also fond of tea. He wasn't sure he could associate with someone who didn't like tea, to be honest. "I drink little else I admit, regardless of the meal I am enjoying." He didn’t really count water- he breathed more of that than he drank anyways. "I do not have sweets terribly often, though I do recall a gingerbread cake served last Christmas. Would that be the same as the flavor in your cocoa?" As a result of eating so few, Jiang was not an expert on sweets by any stretch, and hoped he'd not just made an a** of himself.

GIggling with him she shook her head. "That bad? I'm sure she wouldn't hurt anyone on purpose...." She couldn't imagine anyone really wanting to harm others but she'd been wrong before. She could only wish that his mother was the same way. She tried imagining what her mom would be like behind the wheel. Lizzy would probably be more cautious, worrying over everything. Neena on the other hand would probably either be falling asleep or almost killing all the people who wouldn't get out of her way. Remi had to shudder at that thought. It was almost a good thing they didn't have a car, if only to keep her 'aunt' off the road.
"A housekeeper huh? What does she do? Especially to make the both of you dislike her so." Down to her last sip Remi frowned before finishing it off and setting it on the table away from them so it wouldn't be too distracting. She wondered if she should get another one. Trying to silently check she dug her hand into her fuzzy black coat and fingered the change she had, trying to keep the clinking to a minimum so he wouldn't notice. "I wasn't too picky. When I was umm born I was a little dazed. It took me about a week before I started being able to keep the memories I was making. You can imagine how hard it was on my momma. It was weird when I heard it for the first time and could remember it, I liked it a lot and I finally understood when momma said Remi she meant me." Smiling she was glad that her mom had picked it. How weird would it have been if she was called Lizzy after her mother, or Anna or Marie?
It was a good thing she had finished her drink and set the cup down otherwise she likely would have spilled it everywhere in her shock. "Don't....have sweets.... often? Does your mother take joy in torturing you?!" Remi had a small sweet just about every day. Enough to satisfy her sweet tooth but never too much that it became unhealthy. Her mom made sure she never became too large. Not that she knew much about Scents and whether they could get fat. She wondered if Ment or Olivia knew. "Yeah gingerbread has a really certain taste. The hot cocoa was just a little more chocolaty because well hot chocolate." She suddenly went very serious and just stared at him, her brows knit together and a contemplative look on her face. After awhile she finally nodded and brightened up. "It's official I'm making you sweets! You need lots and lots I can tell."

He also shook his head, though with an exasperated sounding sigh. "Oh no, not on purpose certainly. I have never known mother to wish ill on others, however she is… not the most attentive of her surroundings at times." She probably wouldn't even make it to the end of their driveway without being distracted by some inanity, or struck by sudden inspiration for a dress she wanted to make. Rylan's attention span was a mysterious and unpredictable creature on the best of days.
His expression soured at further thought of Sophia, and he stared intently into his tea as he considered just how much he wanted to share regarding the household warfare. It wasn't very becoming to quarrel with the help, but Remi didn't seem like the judgemental type so far, and he had already mentioned that they didn't get along, however vaguely. After a long moment, he decided that the beginning was as good a place as any. "After I came to be at the manor, she was the first to... see me, I suppose." He drained the last of his tea in one long sip, then set the cup down with a quiet click. "Her reaction was to beat me into the corner with her broom. I was very fortunate that mother arrived before I could be injured seriously. That is why I dislike the maid so- I am simply returning her regard in kind." He huffed quietly and shook his head a bit, hoping to shake off the moodiness that the memory still brought on. "But enough of that, it seems a shame to ruin an otherwise lovely afternoon with such unpleasant recollections." He reached for his teacup automatically, and had it raised halfway before remembering that he'd emptied it already- he set it back down, looking slightly embarrassed.
While people choosing their own names may not have been worth much note to him, mental fogginess of the kind she was talking about was a different matter altogether. Knowledge was important- was power. The idea of just… forgetting things, just like that, was actually rather frightening to him. "You had trouble remembering things? That must have been very alarming, I cannot imagine." Jiang himself had entered the world in full possession of his wits- fortunate, as he'd had a broom to dodge at the time. He even still had a few vague, foggy recollections of the time before his 'birth', mostly his mother's voice as she spoke to guests, or to herself as she worked. To lose even those small, insignificant memories… "I do hope you are alright now, truly." They'd only just met, but Remi seemed kind- she didn't deserve to have anything bad happen to her.
He was startled out of his thoughts by her outburst, though fortunately it didn't seem to have been loud enough to draw attention from the nearby tables- how embarrassing that would be. He was also plenty confused. "I am afraid I do not understand what involvement my mother has with my sweet consumption? She can certainly go through a great deal of dessert for a woman of her figure, but she would restrain herself if anyone else wanted a serving." This was going to be one of those normal kid things that Jiang just didn't understand- he really had no idea how spoiled he was. Her very firm statement about making him sweets was equally confusing, though for a different reason completely. "You know how to cook?" He sounded genuinely impressed. "I have been told it can be a difficult skill to acquire, and very time consuming." Not that he'd ever tried, of course. He was more concerned with enjoying the results than learning what went into the preparation. "You need not go through all that trouble for my sake, but if it pleases you, then I could hardly refuse your generosity."

Being inattentive wasn't unusual to Remi, lord knew her Aunt left her alone in the most random of places just because she was busy doing other things, but hearing that someone was so distracted while they were actively doing something was strange. How would she ever get any baking done if she were constantly following whatever strange object or sound caught her attention? His mom must just flit around everywhere. Her mind created a funny picture of a human sized hummingbird and she pursed her lips to keep from giggling more.
"Oh how awful!" Reaching her hand out Remi laid it gently against his, completely unaware that moments before he had just tried to drink more tea. "I can't imagine....she must be horrid! And I don't like to think of people like that." She tried imagining what would have happened if her mom hadn't wanted her, or if Neena took her anger out on her and the thought sent such an unpleasant emotion through her she felt physically sick. She gently stroked his hand in comfort before being jolted back into the conversation. "It wasn't alarming. At the time I didn't have any memories to know that what was happening was strange. It was the....." She hesitated, wondering if she should share one of her biggest secrets with him before diving on. He had shared something personal so she would too. "The second time I lost my memory that scared me. I hadn't lost all of it only a certain amount of time I couldn't place where I had been at or what had happened. Momma was beyond frightened. Now I remember. I know it won't happen again but it is........alarming." Giving a partial smile at that she shrugged as if to say it was over and done with.
"Of course I know how to cook! Well I'm more of a baker but I can sometimes cook if someone watches...and reaches all the ingredients for me. I'm kinda short even for someone my age." Reaching for his hands again she squeezed them between hers, "There's no trouble doing things for my friends! I just need to know, what's your favorite dessert? Or flavors?"

He inclined his head in agreement, and his voice sounded much less sulky when he continued- he was quite done with thinking about the worst parts, thank you very much. "Nothing so... overt has happened since, after mother accepted my explanation of my presence. For the most part we avoid each other, and exchange little but sharp looks and clipped comments. She may dislike it a great deal, but there is little she can do without gravely betraying the trust mother has placed in her. And if I can say nothing else kind about the woman, she does take her work very seriously."
He evidently hadn't been paying quite as much attention to Remi as he spoke- though her movements hadn't been quick or sudden in the least, the touch of her hand took him so off guard that he jerked visibly- he just barely kept from yanking his hand back, for fear that he'd catch her with his claws accidentally. As it was, fortunately his palm had been facing downwards, and his flinch sent the tips clicking harmlessly on the tabletop, rather than into Remi's hand. It took a great force of will to relax himself visibly- they'd been talking about unpleasant things, she probably meant it as a gesture of comfort, support. But the truth was, for someone who had to be carried everywhere, Jiang-Chen really didn't like to be touched very much. It wasn’t Remi's fault at all- and she was nice, he certainly didn't want to offend her, but he was extremely relieved when she continued speaking and broke the contact. "I would find that very frightening as well." he said quietly, trying not to imagine it in too much detail. For her to be able to smile even halfway and shrug it off was pretty impressive. "It must have taken a great deal of strength, to move past such an event."
Being perfectly honest he didn't really know the difference between cooking and baking- wasn't it all just making food? "Even with a small amount of assistance required, that is quite impressive." He hadn't really thought her short, but then again he wasn't able to stand, so maybe his perspective on such things was a little lacking. And now she had his hands again. How was he supposed to get out of this without being a jerk? For a moment, his thoughts descended into a number of choice colorful phrases he'd picked up from Stefan, when his eyes landed on his empty teacup, still sitting near their hands, and inspiration struck. "Remi, I do hate to impose, but may I ask a favor of you?" He couldn't quite keep the hopeful note out of his voice, but that wouldn’t seem out of place when asking for a favor anyways. "I would very much like another cup of tea, but unfortunately I am unable to get to the counter myself. Could I possibly trouble you to go for me? I have my own pieces, of course." He took the created opportunity to gently extract his hands and rifle through his cloak, until he could reach the pouch he wore around his waist and grab several coins, which he then placed on the table. There was more than enough there for his cup of tea. "Please, do get something for yourself as well, as my apology for inconveniencing you so." He hoped she'd agree- he had his personal space back, which was excellent, but another cup of tea really would be nice. "Then perhaps you could tell me about some of the desserts you make? As I said I do not eat many, and I do not have a favorite in particular, so perhaps if you describe some then I would be able to choose one I believe I would enjoy?"

Once again Remi wondered at having people in your service. Strangers who helped you do the chores, and drove you around. She wondered if Jiang had ever had to wash his dishes after he was done with dinner, or go to the market to buy his own groceries, or even make sure all his clothes were in the hamper. She had a feeling that he might even have his own machines at home. All those nice things just within his own house.....Remi felt a tiny bit of envy at his money. What she would do if she had the means to all of that.
She hardly noticed his discomfort at the touch. Normally she was very attentive to the comfort of others but she had never had to worry about someone not wanted to be comforted with a hand clasp or a hug. If she even had a bit of an idea to what her new friend was feeling she would have happily kept her hands to herself but well, sometimes Remi was oblivious. "Maybe. I guess I just kinda dealt with it." She shrugged her shoulders again before perking up at his question. "A favor? Sure! What is it?"
She tilted her head at his request, slightly confused as to why he couldn't get up and get his own glass but more then willing to grab him one. She hadn't really paid attention to why the boy had been carried, because she didn't make a habit of watching people's feet. She had a bit of an urge to glace at them now but that would be rude. "Oh ok! Thank you so very much that's really kind of you! Once I come back we'll talk all about the sweets you might want!" Blushing slightly at the offer she wiggled out of her seat and hesitated before slowly slipping the pieces into her palm and flitting off to the counter, smiling up at Bella, the barista she had become somewhat familiar with and ordering them two of the same drinks.
While she waited she swayed back and forth slightly, her eyes sometimes darting over to her friend in worry that she was taking too long. The Scent couldn't help wondering what he thought of her. He was unusual, not like most of the people she ran into, and much wealthier then the people she knew. For all she knew he could dislike her greatly and just be hiding it to be polite. She wouldn't like that at all......
Frowning at her thoughts she was glad Bella called her name for their drinks and she put on a tiny smile for the lady and for Jiang as she headed back to the table. Setting them down before slipping back into her seat she blew on her drink before taking a sip and calming down. If he really didn't like her then that was how it was. Until he said otherwise he was her new friend and that was that. "So......sweets?"

The answers there would be no, no, and no. In fact, Jiang probably didn't even know where the clothes hamper was- Sophia went around in the evening and collected his and mother's clothes for the laundry, where they disappeared for a few days before returning clean. It could be done by magic for all he knew (well, not with Sophia involved, granted).
He acknowledged her departure from the table with a quick nod, and contented himself with staring out the window and letting his thoughts wander as he waited for her return. For all that he'd been intending to sit alone when he'd come into the little café, this had actually turned out to be rather enjoyable, personal space issues notwithstanding. Though it did happen from time to time, he was always pleasantly surprised to meet someone who didn't seem to care what he looked like.
He smiled as she returned to the table with drinks in hand, and curled his fingers gratefully around the fresh cup set in front of him. "Ah, many thanks." He blew carefully into the cup a few times to cool the surface- he still remembered the first time he'd scalded his tongue, and wasn't keen to repeat the experience- and took a small sip. "It is in situations such as this that I find my mobility challenges most frustrating, I truly am grateful for your willingness to help." It hadn't particularly occurred to him that she might not have noticed his tail, though really it wouldn't be that hard to overlook- he was still bundled up quite securely in his oversized cloak, despite that the warmth of the café had all but chased away the last of his chills from outside. His tail was roughly the length that legs would be on someone of his size- under the heavy folds of wool, it would probably be easy to assume that he did have feet under there.
He set the cup back down gently as she came back around to the subject of sweets, his brows furrowing in contemplation. "Hmm, I admit that I would hardly know where to start." He paused to think about it for a moment, but he honestly didn't have a clue. "I do prefer things which are not too messy to eat, perhaps that could be a start?" Hopefully that would give her enough to make a suggestion or two? He didn't think he'd ever had to put so much thought into food before.
