For a gift. Totally fudged and forgot to ask about a gift, so I'm kinda gonna wing it. Dude's birthday is coming up on Monday, and so I'm trying to figure out what to get him. Only thing I can think of is video games. But, that doesn't help, because that narrows things down not at all. Therefore, I'm hoping that some of you might be able to help me. I know that he already has Borderlands 2. He also has BF3. Not interested in the CoD series anymore. He liked playing Journey.. Already has and beat Halo 4.. I'm hopeless when it comes to thinking of games. :'D Also, the preferred platform, I'm assuming, is PC, as his PS3 got stolen, and has yet to be found, and the Xbox stays here when he's out of state.. Any recommendations? D:
Hm, some other games that I know he likes.. Starcraft and Warcraft 3, if any of this helps.. oxo;

I do not do PC games so don't be surprised by my dumb question, but can you do gift cards on Steam? Not knowing what's already in your friend's game library makes it hard to suggest particular titles.

Judging from his taste in games it seems he likes first person RPG and RTS. If he likes Starcraft and Warcraft than he already has the two best RTS that are out pretty much. The only thing I could think of is maybe StarCraft 2 or the new expansion on its way. maybe the Warhammer RTS.
If you could somehow let me know of other games he might have I might be able to get a better hint. There are no games like Borderlands 2. The comedy is too rare and the RPG element is unique only to that specific game.
CoD and battlefield are very different, but the same type of game. Since no Battlefields are in the process of being made, that also rules out army FPS.
*zooms off to work*

Toon -- ..I have no idea. ..Totally just realized, worst case, I'm just gonna get a gift card. xD
Brase -- Yes, that he does. And, I believe he already has Starcraft 2. >>;
..Totally stalking his Steam account now, and hit a jackpot of games list. Which probably isn't a good thing, but whatever. Means there's less options left. >>; Anywho. Copy paste title tiem. :D The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim ; Borderlands 2 ; Dishonored ; Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity ; Battlefield: Bad Company 2 ; Blacklight: Retribution ; Blacklight: Retribution ; Team Fortress 2 ; Assassin's Creed ; Section 8: Prejudice ; Age of EmpiresĀ® III: Complete Collection (used for multiplayer purposes only) ; Portal (and he has portal 2) ; Half-Life 2: Lost Coast. There were a few others, but they haven't been played.

Maybe Civ or Bastion?
Or be a troll friend and get Super Meat Boy and Slender: The Eight Pages.

Can't go wrong with the rest of the Assassin's Creed series. AC 3 blew my face off and I loved every minute of it. That's me personally though... Regardless, there are four games in the series that aren't on handheld. All available on Steam. If he liked the first, there's no way in hell he can dislike the others.
Seems like he likes Bethesda as well. Norrowind or Oblivion are old games... but he may still like them. They were very good for their time. I could also suggest Fallout 3, but judging by the fact he only has Skyrim I am willing to bet he doesn't like getting into games that are too involved in adventure and could take a lifetime to fully explore... and if that were the case, Skyrim would be the one game he chose.
Gonna have to agree with Toon on Civ V. If he likes strategy it's definitely a game that's worth looking into.
Good Luck, If you're really in doubt, a gift card can never do wrong. There are literally zillions of games. Truthfully I am not the best at recommendations because I love majority of them. I can come off as bias in many ways.
......Just ordered my copy of Megaman Legends for the playstation one before it dies forever... D: Sssssstoooooked.
Could tell ya all about fighters and upcoming games though.

Toon -- Mm, I totally forgot about Civ. Gonna have to look into that, see what ones I can find.
Eheh, Slender wouldn't work; he's played it already. >>; Granted, he's yet to beat it, but whatever.
Brase -- Touche. But, I don't know what he has and hasn't played out of it. I know that he has Revelations (as it's currently sitting at my house *coughs*), but it doesn't do much good.. as it was for PS3. Which he no longer has..
Indeed he does. He still plays Oblivion every now and again, and I'm not sure if he has Morrowind.. >>; Eheh, touche. I'll still look into Fallout 3.. Think he might have played that, before. Or maybe that was sibling...
Mm, that reminded me. Another game he loved playing was C&C Generals. ...Honestly, now that I think about it, I might just get him Dune 2000 if I can find it. Told him a lot about the game, and he seems pretty interested in it.. although he has never played it. (Mildly shocked by that one.)
Thank you! <3 And, indeed. I'll probably talk to siblings in a bit, as they have similar tastes as he does.. But, bias is not a bad thing, when it comes to games. :'D
..That makes me want to dig around for my old ps1. D:

..That makes me want to dig around for my old ps1. D: Truth be told, reason I love the playstation 3. Many old PS1 classics are available, but many won't be because of licensing issues. If anyone here has a Super Nintendo, Gamecube, or N64 they don't want, I'll buy your systems, cartridges, and discs. Depending on the game, it could be at least fifty bucks or even more pending on rarity. Please let me know... my dad gave away all of it when I was younger and I would love to have my favorites before they disappear from the world. I would like to say I am honest and generous when it comes to prices, but I don't want to come off as an evil genius because truthfully I am not. I do know you won't find anyone paying as much as I am unless they are rich. I am not, I just have a deep appreciation for them.

I have a ****ton of N64 controllers. I could write a Dr. Seuss story about them, that's how many N64 controllers are in my possession. No idea if I'd sell them though, mainly because I don't want to go through the tedious process of quality checking them. For all I know, 90% of them have been wrecked by Mario Party. rofl
You can get old consoles super cheap on Craigslist, unless the PA has higher prices than mine. I see N64s and Segas all the time, it's crazy.
