It started as nightmares creeping into his dreams at night; a little more frequent than they had been in a long time. Otto loved sleeping, but when his fortress of pillows and blankets made him anxious instead of cozy, there was n peace to be had. Clerise and Candace were both people that came to mind to go to for some sort of mental rehabilitation, but his so called pride kept him from asking for help. No, he preferred to do things on his own.
But a few days passed, and now Otto was going onto his 85th hour of no sleep at all. You thought he was grouchy on a normal day? Try a sleep deprived Otto. His emotions became raw as a lack of sleep skewed his sensibilities.
The teen slowly dragged his feet as he came back from some mediocre duty shift, dead blue eyes gazing through a messy curtain of blonde hair stuffed under a hood.

Bix was coming back from a mediocre shift himself, one of his first since he'd come back. It was the first time he'd worn his uniform since he was killed and felt very odd at first. Over the course of the day, as the monotony of Deus life set in, he fell back into stride. It was like riding a bike, you never really lost it.
He'd decided to walk through the first floor dorms and take the back stairs just for the hell of it. There were still people he hadn't seen and now was a good time as any to talk to any hunters who hadn't heard about his 'resurrection'.
Bix spotted Otto first but with the way the blonde looked, he wouldn't probably notice Bix at all. "Otto!" He walked a bit faster towards the young man.

A familiar voice resounded through the halls. A irritated growl rumbled in the back of Otto's throat. The peak of his anti social tendencies was getting higher and higher as his need for sleep raked his nerves. His icy gaze lifted, spotting Bix coming closer.
"Well well, if it ain't the resurrected. I thought we were supposed to be fightin zombies, not harborin'em." He muttered with a curled lip. He pointed a finger at Bix, his head tilting up to get a better view of the taller man, hood falling off his hair. Dark bags tainted his skin under his eyes. "It ain't natural."

"If I'm going down, your going down with me, brother." Bix smirked. "Cause I look more living than you do, speaking of zombies." Otto sort of looked like crap.

Goddammit Bix stop being adorable.
He looked like he wanted to say something. Wanted to sass the Hell out of Bix. But he could only manage an irritated sigh. Otto sneered, his arm dropping but his gaze still solid and focused on Bix. "Yeah, Thanks. I feel like s**t too." He was still grossed out that Bix and Ceres were supposed to be dead. But there were so many other things about being a Hunter he would have to ignore in order to rationalize his stance. Besides, the less dead hunters the better. Time had passed, he'd also learned of their revival over Twitter. He'd had time to deal with it. Sort of.
"So what happened? H hook you and Senorita Bitchface up to jumper cables and tossed ya into a storm?"

Bix visibly reacted when Otto referred to Ceres like that. She was a sensitive area with him for the moment, but he also knew that this was a very,very shitty looking Otto. There wouldn't be minced words or any niceties at all.
"Thankfully H didn't have any hand on us. I guarantee you that he'd made sure I never came back here." Ressurection secrets? Score. "What happened was I was dead. In a morgue. Naked on a slab." There was a coldness in his tone. It was a difficult memory. "And then I woke up in one of those fridge-drawer things. So yeah. All kinds of fun."
Bix did not look thrilled.

Otto looked horrified. Any attempt a healthy otto would have made to mask his emotions wasn't working properly. "That's...you can't.... DEAD PEOPLE DON'T JUST WAKE UP!" Bix's cold tone and calm demeanor meant little to the frazzled teen, his give a s**t for anyone but himself was... well..

"NO!" He ruffled his hair angrilly. "Other hunters died. I saw them die and they stayed dead. Either you ain't really Bix, or you didn't really die." Black and white. No Grays.
"People sometimes got declared dead and woke up in morgues. It happens. I read all about it! Comas or what not. Medical s**t is complex as ********, but its Goddamn logic."

Bix shrugged. "And Red turned into a dragon that we killed and then turned back into a halloween thing.. and then was merged with insanity and then used my and Ceres weapons and then killed Caelius.. OH AND HES BACK TOO." Bix was counting it off on his fingers.
"s**t doesn't make sense Otto. Not this s**t." Bix rubbed his face. "You know how in Princess Bride, the guy dies and they takehim to Miracle Max and he goes, 'Oh he's just mostly dead.' It apparently was like that." Bix shrugged. "I got no explanation myself. In fact I cant sleep half the time because I'm not sure I'll wake up." Bix frowned. He was sort of talking about this loudly in a hallway. The albino turned a bit redand dropped his voice.
"I woke up on a slab and they just said to come back. No medical exams. Nothing. And my s**t was gone and packed and my dorm was empty.." If that didn't make you really feel dead, nothing would.

"Halloween don't count! That's magic voodoo s**t! You don't mess with magic voodoo!" The crazy was laid on thick, his voice shook ever slightly.
Caelius was indeed alive. His fears were made true. "Dammit.. I knew it..too good to be true.. I mean you comin' back ain't half bad, but why did the ********' Devil have to come crawlin back. Shoulda stayed a torn up piece a dog food..." His voice kept trailing off as his mumbling got quieter.
Luckily, Otto did know the Princess Bride. The book and the movie. Suddenly, it all made sense in his little mind. "Oh.." He replied in an airy sort of tone.
Otto stared vacantly at Bix. The idea that Deus was so quick to clear out a room after being declared dead. You were erased, essentially. Painted over like a patch of dirty graffitti on a pristine wall of white was hidden. That was the essens of dead, wasn't it.
"Creepy... creepy creepy.." Otto pulled his hood back over his head, mumbling to himself. "Gunna have another damn nightmare n' its all yer fault..." Because obviously Bix's life was perfect like the white walls around them.
"Maybe they buried Legolas in place of yer body in the hunter grave yard. Wanna grab a shovel? I ain't got nuthin' to do, s'okay bro lets go."

"What're you havin nightmares about?" Bix's face scrunched. Waking up once a night thinking you were in a morgue fridge still, was at least something of an experienced in nightmares. "Why aren't you sleeping?"
Bix pause a second though. "Let's go. Let's go dig up my grave."
He was serious.

"Same damn stuff I always do, just kept getting worse for whatever reason. You don't need to know the details, ********. Let's go grav robbin'. How many times ya get to rob your own grave, right? Time's a wastin, bro."
Otto snapped his fingers and pushed past Bix, evading his own issues and focusing on grave robbing with Bix.

"I'm taking the headstone.. so long as I can carry it." Bix rolled to turn around when Otto brushed past him. He couldn't imagine what would be in the hole.
"You try getting some sleeping pills?" Bix shouldhave suggested talking to someone but he was a man too. He understood not talking about it. "Usually put you out for 8 hours reliably."
He followed the focused looking blonde through the halls towards the outside.

"I don't trust'em. People OD on that stuff, yaknow? I don't wanna die, I just want a solid night's sleep." The teen wobbled slightly, but pressed on. "I'll get tired eventually. Just gotta tire myself out.."
"Heh.. you should have the head stone as yer headboard. Then you'll sleep like the dead.." Otto's jokes while he was so out of it were... erm... "Yeaaaah you'd know what that's like.. haaa...."

"You know if you only take it one night, you'll only get one nights sleep." Bix clarified, trying to be helpful. He shrugged, "You're not going to OD or get addicted that quick." "Ha. Ha." Bix snorted, amused, but really... the joke was terrible. As they reached the doors to the outside it dawned on him. "I don't have a shovel.."

"Ooooh.. do ya got any?" Magic sleeping pills might help one night. It wasn't like Otto took anything that would clash with them.
"We'll use our hands." Otto replied, wiggling his fingers.
"Whatdya been up to? Brain eating? I been doin' the same damn mission with Ami and company over and over and over and over.." He kept going.
