It was a quiet day, the rain trickling down the windows and streaming across the path as Frederique stares down at the trampled flower, frowning deeply. Who dared desecrate nature like this.The flower was doing nothing but making everyone's lives better with its sparkling beauty; why would someone disrespect it so?She stoops down to asses the damage; it was salvageable, but the flower would die if it continued to drown in the rain water. Ignoring the fact she could get her clothes dirty, Frederique pulls out her hand shovel and starts carefully digging the flower up, placing it within a glass jar she had been carrying. There, now it should be fine until she gets home.
Frederique smiles softly, wiping her face and accidentally covering it in dirt "I'll take care of you, don't worry..."

Cambria stalked through the rain coming back towards the dorms from one of the admin buildings while holding her clear umbrella carefully for maximum coverage. Silly rain. The clouds covered the sun which usually sparkled so nicely on her jewelry. Most annoying. Nothing was sparkling it's best today.
Except for that green haired girl with somewhat shiny skin, the water actually made it look more reflective. She was digging about in the dirt. Some flower or other. Huh, maybe it was for a science project?
Carefully positioning herself behind the teen she quietly waited for her to turn around and be startled. She smirked a bit in anticipation.

Frederique stands up, cradling the glass in her arms. She notices Cambria, but her facial expression does not change. She stares for a moment, before speaking "There are a variety of reasons for why you were standing behind me in such a questionable fashion. One theory is you're a fellow student in need of my assistance, to which I will gladly comply. The other being you're still at the mental stage where giving someone a spook is quite humorous, to which I encourage you to find some sort of psychiatrist to help yourself grow up a little. I won't bother asking which possibility it is, nor do I particularly want to know."

"Whatever, I like my mental stage." There was no shame whatsoever in her tone, or on her face. So what if someone thought her childlish. Obviously they had a stick where the sun didn't shine, and that certainly wasn't her problem. Besides, she probably had a lot more fun then this shiny chick did. Even if she did have shiny skin. "What are you doing with that flower? Also, you're shiny, I like it."

Frederique shrugs, smiling down at the flower "Some buffoon was hurrying by and stepped on this flower. It would have drowned if I didn't dig it up. So I was about to bring it back to my abode and take care of it until I could plant it on the ground." The rain water was starting to get to her, and he felt queasy. She looks over at where her umbrella had flown, sighing

Cambria looked from the flower to the shiny chick and back to the flower. "Well then. More power to you." She guessed. Cambria didn't particularly care for what appeared to be a weed anyway. But whatever floated the shiny one's boat. "Did you realize, that not only are you soaked, but you're now dirty too?" She twirled her umbrella a bit absently while cocking her hip and raising a single white feathery eyebrow.

"Yes, I am quite aware of that, as I was when i first decided to start digging this flora up. But I feel the reprecussions justify the reward." She walks over to her umbrella, picking it up and shielding herself from the rain "It's a nice day, I just wish I could enjoy it."

"It's a nice day to stay inside and not get soaked." Cambria said staring up at the sky. "You're looking a little off, maybe you should go dry out." She reached into a pocket and pulled out a package of tissues and offered them to her for her to dry her face at least. The shiny must be cared for.

Frederique takes the tissues, gently wiping her face of as much water as she could. At least she couldn't feel pain, or this would probably hurt later. She crumples up the used tissue, handing the rest of the pack back to Cambria "Thank you kindly for your providing of the tissues." Her body markings still glowed, as they always did naturally. The joys of being mechanically based. you glow in the dark.

"You're welcome." Cambria stated. Usually one to hinder instead of help, Cambria found this to be a novel experience. It was obviously because the girl was shiny. That had to be the reason.
"Are you going back to the dorms now? Because that's where I'm heading." She said. "I haven't seen you around before though, so you must be new."

"I'm supposed to live in the dormitories, but I spend most of my time helping my Grandmother with her flower shop, since she is sickly. So I was about to return there.You are correct to assume that I am new here; I just arrived a few days ago."

"Flower shop huh. That's interesting. Man we see kids from all sorts of places. Do you like helping out? I think I'd be bored to tears if I had to wait on customers. Oh, I forgot, what's your name, even?" Cambria left out that she'd be bored because she wouldn't be allowed to pick on them. And woops, she should have asked the shiny's name at the start.

Fred smiles gently, nodding "I enjoy working there very much. I don't really work with the customers at all; I just work with the flowers and the garden. My Gandmother handles the front desk, since the townsfolk aren't very friendly with... 'my kind'." She looks down, frowning slightly before looking back up "I am Frederique. I had a variety of nicknames from my last living space, including Freddie, Fred, and..." She seems a bit reluctant to say this one, but continues "...Flippy. Feel free to call me whatever you please."

A huge grin spread across Cambria's dark face at the prospect of all those nicknames. "Alright Flippy. I'm Cambria, I don't really have any nicknames. And yeah I'm familiar with the prejudices tossed our way. People are stupid."

Frederique nods, gently playing with the flower's petals. She twitches slightly at the mention of the nickname, but only because of the memories attached to it. She nods at Cambria, tilting her head "Well, if you wish to come to the shop, I wouldn't mind showing you around the abode."
