Players: Pavo and Ivetteteepee: EPFlanneryPavo was feeling a bit lonely, he hadn't seen many other soquili since he crossed the border. It was heartbreaking to leave his herd, but it was for the best. He wasn't much of a guardian, and his chance to have a breeding were incredibly slim, so he wasn't much use to the herd.
He doesn't do well on his own. He had been traveling alone for two weeks and was eager to see a friendly face. He wondered when he might find his place here, or make a home for himself.
For now he was spending some time looking for a new rose for his hair.

On the opposing side of the spectrum was Ivette, who was raised and lived to be independent, and depend only on oneself for preservation and survival. Surely others could be of use, but they were merely tools to use for ones own gain.
Strolling leisurely, learning of the new territory that she had come across, Ivette let her glowing eyes check each and every nook and cranny that could be seen by the naked eye. Nothing of real interest so far... and only a few boring individuals had crossed paths with her; pathetic, individuals at that. She was starting to wonder if this place was full of nothing but primitive, mindless creatures that had only oneway minds set on fruitless and pointless goals. Hmphing lightly in displeasure, the mare rolled her eyes with a tsk. How disappointing...
Ah but now.. she had spied something out of the norm from the tranquil and uniformity of the forest. Something bold, and bright, standing against the soft and dark earth tones. Pausing in her step, the kalona stared at said figure, taking into account that it was indeed another horse... a rather flamboyant one from appearances. Observing from afar, it didn't take too long for the confident female to start towards him, intent on placing a label on him just as well. Her eyes went to the bushes that were being investigated by the stallion, before returning to him. He looked like those birds that were often pets in her herd. Amused, she lifted her head, and spoke to him with clear articulation, and poise, "Good evening." that was all she needed to say, to make her presence known. All that she would allow someone upon first meetings the pleasure of hearing.

He was so preoccupied by the local flora he had not noticed he was alone. The sound of a voice startled him and his head and tail jolted up. His ears were forward and his tail puffed and displayed, he met the eyes of a fair mare.
"Oh, pardon me! Good evening fine lady!" his voice was booming and his eyes lit up. Pavo's heart fluttered up to his throat with excitement. He was so happy to see another soq. And just when he was fearful that the loneliness would eat away at him, he had another person to talk to!
"My name is Pavo Birdsong" he announced and gave her a bow, "to what do I owe you the pleasure miss.." He left it open so that she might introduce herself as well.

She studies the young stallion from closer inspection as he reacts to her presence, though she shows no excitement of her own. So bright.. he'd make for certainly an easy target. Though she was stark pale, there was plenty for her to blend in with during the winter. Tail flicking calmly behind her, glowing eyes didn't budge once the male performed his bow. At least he had some means of manners. But she did not return the gesture.
"Birdsong. How fitting, since you indeed resemble the appearance of those brazen birds that strut themselves about for all to see." she casually replies, in a false, and very mild, pleasant tone. "Since you stood out like a decaying carcass in an open field, I decided to see if you were horse or avian. To which it seems you are both." there is a hint of disappointment in her tone, and a faint sigh escapes her.

He was slightly saddened that she did not giver her name, but perhaps he needed to earn it.
He tucked his head and swayed his tail when she "complemented" his colors.
"Yes most of my herd, um, ex-herd, have similar markings and colors resembling the same type of fowl." his mother, as best as he could remember was a "pure" hippogriff and he was proud to have inherited her talons and tail.
Pavo smiled genuinely, "Yes, I do seem to stand out in these lands, I am just fortunate to see so much green. But I have yet to see any green that is as lush and beautiful as you're eyes." his happiness was unrestrained and his body swayed slightly as if there was some kind of music or beat that commanded it.

Birds.... she smirked and eventually it translated to a clearly amused giggle. What a silly coat to have~ Slowly, the mare began to walk around him, inspecting his strange markings from all angles.. trying her best to not snicker at his odd tail. At least he had claws, those were something that were appropriate to have.
Coming around his other side, she glanced to him as the compliment was placed, a rather blank expression on her face from it. She stopped, and simply stared at him, before chuckling again, "Really now? Is that your best pick up line for my eyes? What a shame~" she sighed in feign disappointment, walking around more to stand before him, "But of course you haven't. There are no other eyes more gorgeous than my own." she stated as if it were common sense.

"Ah so you know it to be true, as you should. One should not overlook such a remarkable feature." He said to her while he looked into the glowing emeralds she had for eyes. He also made note of another interesting feature to him. He came from herd of Hippogryphs and regular or at least half-o-gryphs, and had never seen a kalona. Her tail, was slender and whip like, with the tip like a spear. He had never seen anything like it!
"You have another remarkable feature I can't help but point out. That slender tail of you have, I have never seen another like it."
Pavo thought it looked strange, although strange did not mean he thought it was unpleasant.
