Warning: Rabbits can be killed, injured, maimed and other bad things during Meta. This is at your own risk. The Story
The summer was a long and dry one; though many rabbits thanked Frith for that it also meant not enough rain. The drought had wilted the silflay but Nuthanger Farm certainly felt the effects in their crops. The harvest was a poor one, the farmer and his wife had done all they could to make the most of it. What crop wasn't trucked out right away is now being dried or canned, nothing is going to waste this year; they can't afford it to. Now with the first frost on it's way, there's very little left in their food bins outside.
As for Watership, though rabbits do not hibernate in winter they do try to pack on the weight and hunker down for long, slow and very cold nights. But with so many weeks of poor silflay there's been little to line nests with to chew on in the long months, and the rabbits are thinner than those that run the Down would like.
Small searches out the the Wilds have yielded little, and the risk is too much for such meager reward. The memory of the last farm raid has since faded a little around the edges now, and with such a large warren of rabbits to feed eyes have been set on the Farm for supplies.
After all, winter is coming.
What to Expect
Sign-ups will open as soon as you can see this thread, so if you're reading this, they're open! After a few days we will close the sign-ups and use the information provided within the forms posted to pick a day or two that works for most people. If we have a large turn out and/or a very large split in who can attend what, we will host two Farm Raids on two days so we can let as many people participate as possible.
Assume the Raid will last several hours, it is recommended to be present for as many of those hours as possible. We are aiming to complete the Raid within a single day.
Rabbits will be broken up into three groups, each group will be led by at least one Owsla officer and one Runner. Each 'team' will be in charge of a different goal, and face dangers. An obstacle faced by one team can disrupt the activity of another, all three teams will be rp'd in the same setting at the same time. So if team one gets the farmer out of his house you can expect team two to be in just as much trouble.
Events will be decided by both rp and dice, each danger will have either a dice roll or a set value to it that a rabbit must overcome, or a group of rabbits must help with in order to best. Expect that some rabbits will be injured, and some will probably not make it back to the warren at all. Rabbits can die, become seriously wounded, and even handicapped during this event.
More on Teams
The three teams will have different objectives, as of right now those objectives are; raid the food bins, raid the barn silo for hay, investigate the barn itself for food and/or hutch rabbits.
The Owsla officers will be the lead in the team, and are NOT immune to dangers. Runners will play as messengers between the teams if needed, as scouts, and if anything should happen to the Owsla(s) the chain of command falls to them.
You can request a specific team objective in your form, or even a rabbit you'd prefer to be teamed with; but you might not get your request. We will do our best, but we also need to keep the teams balanced.
How the Dice Effect Gameplay
Each danger will have a value number to overcome, living things such as cats, dogs, etc will have a random number generated for them since they are breathing and fallible. Inorganic dangers such as snares, or something intangible like creating too much noise and drawing the farmer's attention will have a set value to overcome rather than a randomized number.
A danger's 'value' number will not be revealed prior to gameplay, this is to help people playing stay in character rather than try to 'make' their rabbit complete actions outside of their personality simply for the sake of a number value.
All rabbits, regardless of rank, gender, or age will roll a d4 during events and when prompted for their value number. Depending on the situation and what the roll is for, there may be a penalty or bonus added to it depending on the rabbit.
For an example, if the roll was prompted for out-running a danger, a Runner will receive a bonus to their score.
A rabbit that is handicapped or 'special' in anyway should make note of it in their sign-up form so we can accurately portray them during such events.
For an example, Flemish Giants, or part FG's, will potentially receive a bonus to an 'attack' but would receive a penalty to speed if he or she is large enough. A rabbit with torn ears may receive a penalty to 'perception' if there's a roll to see or hear a danger before it's upon you.
If a rabbit 'fails' the check...
There will be a cushion of time in which team members can help that rabbit. Each rabbit that helps overcome the danger will act as if there's a +1 bonus to the inflicted rabbit's roll. Example Althea is attacked by a cat. The cat rolls a 6, and Althea rolls a 2. Althea receives a bonus 3 to her attack for her Rank and her Flemish Giant breed; her total comes to 5 and she cannot conquer the cat on her own. A timer starts for half an hour, and any rabbit that aids in that time frame will add to her roll. Two rabbits join in the fray, adding a +2 to her roll. Althea's total is bumped up to 7 and the team defeats the cat. Rabbits that aid in helping with a danger can become a new target, and potentially receive damage.
In the case of a tie, the 'attacker' loses, be it the danger or the rabbit. In the case of inorganic dangers, a tie will result in the rabbits' safety.
The further the spread between the rolls, the differential of the outcome. A rabbit might escape unscathed, avoid the danger altogether, or barely escape with their life. If a danger is just barely overcome, the fight might not be over. A dog that was just barely outrun might find a new target, and a cat that just was denied a good kill might turn and attack another rabbit. If they are beaten horribly (say, a cat rolls a 2 and the rabbit team rolls a good number and a bunch pitch in) a cat or even a dog could be taken out of the Raid completely; such as leading the dog too far away from the farm for it to be a danger, or beating up a cat so badly that it can't fight anymore.
If a rabbit fails a roll, the time runs out, and the roll still remains a value of 2 or more BELOW the value of the danger, the rabbit will die.
The only exception to this is the farmer. If he aims at your rabbit, there will be no window of time for the others to aid you. If your roll bests his, he will miss. If you tie, he hits you but you are able to get away with your life. And if he bests you, Inle' comes calling for your bun.
IT SOUNDS HIGHLY COMPLICATED, BUT IT REALLY ISN'T.
There's a lot of fail-safe's in place to try to aid people in keeping their buns alive, that's what takes up the majority of it.
In short, staff will quote you when there's a prompt. You will roll a die, and staff will roll a die or give you a value number. Hope that you best it. If you don't, hope your teammates come to your aid.

Rules
- Please no whining, screaming, or fighting with staff. We do our best here, and if there's an issue or question, just PM the mule.
- Staff have the power to alter rules on the fly as they see fit. It's an rp event, we can't foresee everything.
- Rabbits must be Outskirter or older to participate. If you join in as an outskirter, be warned that your speed and attack will have a -1 penalty due to being young.
- If your rabbit dies, first off I'm so so sorry, and second please don't pitch a fit. Being sad is understandable, but don't accuse or threaten or belittle staff, team members, or anyone else in the shop. You knew before hand what could happen.
- Please be aware that actions have consequences. If your rabbit abandons their team, not only is the team weakened, but your rabbit is in quite a bit of danger flying solo.
- Your rabbit is not all-powerful. We are much more likely to act harshly towards a rabbit that is rp'd as always having the upper paw or 'blows off' danger. Having a rabbit that -thinks- he's all powerful is fine. Having a rabbit that just got an ear torn off by a dog act like nothing happened isn't. Use common sense <3
- YOU CAN ENTER UP TO TWO RABBITS IN THIS RAID. This requires a lot of focus, and the last thing we need is someone trying to be everywhere at once.
- Please don't give your rabbit a 'bonus' if it isn't something already in their backstory. If you make your rabbit part FG just for this event, not only is that sucky of you, but it won't do you much good. You'll find just as many dangers to run from as to fight. The 'bonuses and penalties' are only there to make it more realistic towards individuals rather than lumping every rabbit together as having the same abilities. It doesn't make sense that Althea would be as fast as Lime, but Lime probably can't fight off a pfeffa like Althea either.
heart What you Can Win! heart
Everyone's favorite part, amirite?
- Flay-rah will be randomized between active participants! - Hutch rabbits might be released and raffled off if that team is successful! - The RP itself in this event can be used as an RP requirement for a rank change to Owsla or Runner. - Edits such as scars and the like can be added if you so choose. - You'll be participating in Meta, rewarding itself, yes? |D?

Rabbit's certed image: Briefly describe why this rabbit is joining the Raid: Sandbur lost her mate on the last raid and she has never come to terms with it. Her anger, agression and bad dreams all stem from thoughts of this farm and the snare that took her dear Taxus. She feels she may finally overcome her fears of his death if she goes through the same...or join him if she dies. Will you be trying for a rank of any kind with this rabbit, and if so, what? Owsla Does this rabbit have any handicaps, skills, or points of interest that may effect game play: Sandbur is a strong fighter with a lot of attitude. She does not back down from a fair fight. This might not be the best choice should she find a cat. Do you have any requests for where this rabbit is placed? Investigating the barn We are planning the Raid for Saturday the 24th, or Sunday the 25th. Which day works better for you, and what times will you be available? Sunday the 25th is better for me! I can be up by 10am. xxxx Rabbit's certed image: Briefly describe why this rabbit is joining the Raid: Dogsbane is a show off. He wants to prove that he is worth keeping around. Will you be trying for a rank of any kind with this rabbit, and if so, what? nope. Does this rabbit have any handicaps, skills, or points of interest that may effect game play: Dogsbane is a fast runner and rather clever for outwitting his prey. He has a scratch on one eye that makes him a bit squinty and he has terrible luck. Do you have any requests for where this rabbit is placed? Raiding the silo

Rabbit's certed image: TalltaleBriefly describe why this rabbit is joining the Raid: Well winter is coming, while Talltale likes to just laze about and spread his 'tall tales', he knows that food is important. Plus the possibility of 'extra company'. xD Will you be trying for a rank of any kind with this rabbit, and if so, what? Not really Does this rabbit have any handicaps, skills, or points of interest that may effect game play: Nope, unless you call sweet talking a skill. xD But other wise he's just a wet behind the ears bunny. Do you have any requests for where this rabbit is placed? Inspecting the Barn We are planning the Raid for Saturday the 24th, or Sunday the 25th. Which day works better for you, and what times will you be available? Either or works for me. I'm on just about all day, both days

Rabbit's certed image: Crocus Briefly describe why this rabbit is joining the Raid: She wants to impress Badassi. I MEAN. She's an Owsla. She sees this as a duty she should uphold and wants to do her best to protect the others in the warren. Impressing the buck she's got a thing for isn't her priority. Honest! Will you be trying for a rank of any kind with this rabbit, and if so, what? Nawp. She's already an officer. Does this rabbit have any handicaps, skills, or points of interest that may effect game play: She's Owsla, but not FG or anything. Do you have any requests for where this rabbit is placed? Silo raid would suit her pretty much. We are planning the Raid for Saturday the 24th, or Sunday the 25th. Which day works better for you, and what times will you be available? Sunday the 25th, definitely. I'm gone all day Saturday. Evening hours, probably after 3 or 4 EST. I can try for morning! Rabbit's certed image: Lamb's Ear (Not really updated; she's got a scar from a snare around her neck) Briefly describe why this rabbit is joining the Raid: Lamb is bold and daring. She isn't afraid of anything (or at least she pretends she isn't afraid of anything) and wouldn't pass up a farm raid. Will you be trying for a rank of any kind with this rabbit, and if so, what? If she can prove herself as a runner, I'm thinking I might try to get her promoted. Does this rabbit have any handicaps, skills, or points of interest that may effect game play: She's been caught in a snare before and escaped from it with her life. Maybe she'd be better at spotting them, since she's encountered them? Do you have any requests for where this rabbit is placed? Wherever she's needed! We are planning the Raid for Saturday the 24th, or Sunday the 25th. Which day works better for you, and what times will you be available? Sunday the 25th, definitely. I'm gone all day Saturday. Evening hours, probably after 3 or 4 EST. I can try for morning!

Rabbit's certed image: Briefly describe why this rabbit is joining the Raid: Mud Flower, just got back into the down. She knows the outside lands well and the farm. She feels she can be of some use and she must take care of her sister. Who is back at the down and will need food for the winter months. Will you be trying for a rank of any kind with this rabbit, and if so, what? Owsla Does this rabbit have any handicaps, skills, or points of interest that may effect game play: Physically no, she is hyper aware of her surroundings however. If you check back over the two, three rps she is currently in. She is always hyper aware and alert to her surroundings. Do you have any requests for where this rabbit is placed? Team three, Investigating the barn. We are planning the Raid for Saturday the 24th, or Sunday the 25th. Which day works better for you, and what times will you be available? Either work just fine for me, however, if it is going to be Sunday be aware that TWD comes on at 9 o'clock and thus I will be be distracted/gone for a good two hours of that time. Otherwise either day is good after 12 as I don't get up before that most often. __________________________ Rabbit's certed image: Anisthary - I will toss her cert up here ASAP. Briefly describe why this rabbit is joining the Raid: She feels she can be of some use. She can get in and out fast and is rather small, good at fitting into tiny places. Will you be trying for a rank of any kind with this rabbit, and if so, what? Runner, Anis' name translates into wind runner, or the longer runs with the wind. She is extremely fast, and has been zipping all over creation form the day she learned how to hop. Does this rabbit have any handicaps, skills, or points of interest that may effect game play: Nope, not really. She is a bit smaller than most other rabbits. Part of the reason she would make a good runner. Do you have any requests for where this rabbit is placed? Due to personal plot, if Anis could be placed on the same team as Snakeroot that would be AMAZING. XD If not then don't worry about it. <3 We are planning the Raid for Saturday the 24th, or Sunday the 25th. Which day works better for you, and what times will you be available? *Points above*

Rabbit's certed image: Briefly describe why this rabbit is joining the Raid: Aythi loves her warren and desires to be of any help she possibly can. Though she fears the dangers that can occur on the raid, she is ready to do whatever it takes. Will you be trying for a rank of any kind with this rabbit, and if so, what? Possibly Owsla... (Her personality is in the works but I'm hoping this will give me the opportunity to really flesh her out providing she makes it to the end.) Does this rabbit have any handicaps, skills, or points of interest that may effect game play: Physically none, she is your average standard rabbit wanting to do anything she can to help out. Do you have any requests for where this rabbit is placed? Where ever she is needed! We are planning the Raid for Saturday the 24th, or Sunday the 25th. Which day works better for you, and what times will you be available? As of right now, either day works for me as I don't really have much to do on weekends and should be here all day both days. ---------------------------------- may enter a second bun, unsure yet |D /clingstoallherlovelies;-;

Rabbit's certed image: Briefly describe why this rabbit is joining the Raid: Raven was a part of the last farm raid and wears her scars with pride - being part Flemish Giant like her marli she is larger than most rabbits and thinks her presence is necessary to the raid. Will you be trying for a rank of any kind with this rabbit, and if so, what? Owsla Does this rabbit have any handicaps, skills, or points of interest that may effect game play: Flemish Giant Do you have any requests for where this rabbit is placed? Nope! Chuck her wherever you think is best ^_^ We are planning the Raid for Saturday the 24th, or Sunday the 25th. Which day works better for you, and what times will you be available? Hmm timezones make this difficult to figure out ^^;; but Sunday might prove better for me since it'll be a Monday... *lives in the future* (GMT + 10) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rabbit's certed image: Briefly describe why this rabbit is joining the Raid: The trees told him to. Will you be trying for a rank of any kind with this rabbit, and if so, what? If he survives he just wants to keep his current rank - even though Ray couldn't tell a good story anymore if it hit him on the head. Does this rabbit have any handicaps, skills, or points of interest that may effect game play: Hmm... well he is eccentric and one of the older rabbits in the warren. Do you have any requests for where this rabbit is placed? Nup... I'm sure he'll be pretty useless wherever you place him. xD We are planning the Raid for Saturday the 24th, or Sunday the 25th. Will you be trying for a rank of any kind with this rabbit, and if so, what? He does not expect much of his life, so no, but he does love surprises. Does this rabbit have any handicaps, skills, or points of interest that may effect game play: he likes the sun.. ovo note that just because he is lazy does not make him a douche. he can actually fight when necessary... though it has been a while Do you have any requests for where this rabbit is placed? nope. Rabbit's certed image: Briefly describe why this rabbit is joining the Raid: Well, Darkbrier's always playing sentinel when others are out silflaying or whatever else, especially in the darker hours. She's not actually an Owsla but she feels the need to look after everyone in the Warren anyway, and she's worried about the lack of food. Will you be trying for a rank of any kind with this rabbit, and if so, what?T'would seem I'm not the only one with the intention of having a doe join the Owsla girls' club, eh? But yes... I'm hoping to make Darkbrier an Owsla if she lives that long. She already tends to do as many of the things Owsla do as she's allowed to, so it just seemed to make sense. Granted I'm the one trying actively for it, Darkbrier's honestly just doing it because she feels the need to help keep everyone safe, not for any recognition. Does this rabbit have any handicaps, skills, or points of interest that may effect game play: She is abnormally large, certainly larger than her siblings, though certainly not nearly the size of Althea or her offspring. Their father was a hutchie, it's assumed he had some Giant blood in him somewhere, though it was obviously diluted since he didn't look it himself. Yes, I know that will dampen her speed. She's also blind in her right eye, but her hearing is extra acute because of dealing with that handicap for her entire life. Do you have any requests for where this rabbit is placed? Not particularly, just where you think she'll work out the best. We are planning the Raid for Saturday the 24th, or Sunday the 25th. Which day works better for you, and what times will you be available? I'm off Sunday, so that should be fine. Probably late afternoon/early evening would be best. I do apologize in advance if I don't participate properly, though... I've got a lot of 4 and 5am shifts at work from Tues. through Sat. and I might be... um... a bit loopy. It messes with my sleep pretty badly. ^^;

Briefly describe why this rabbit is joining the Raid: Kalei wants to help the warren as much as she can, and she's aware that there's currently a lot more rabbits than food available. (OOC I want to give her something to do since I've had her for a while.)
Will you be trying for a rank of any kind with this rabbit, and if so, what? Runner.
Does this rabbit have any handicaps, skills, or points of interest that may effect game play: Nope, she's pretty average.
Do you have any requests for where this rabbit is placed? Nope.
We are planning the Raid for Saturday the 24th, or Sunday the 25th. Which day works better for you, and what times will you be available? Saturday, mayhaps. I'll hopefully be awake by 5PM EST? e__e;; Might be able to badger someone to wake me up at 1PM, omg. My life. xD

Briefly describe why this rabbit is joining the Raid: Hyz'roo is a young doe in the warren and has yet to establish what she wants to do with her life. She has always just done what she has been asked but now it is her time to shine. The raid was the perfect way to shine in front of her warren and prove herself of something worthy then just another doe in the warren.
Will you be trying for a rank of any kind with this rabbit, and if so, what? I would love to have her be a fast and light on the feet owsla but if running is her destiny then it will be so.
Does this rabbit have any handicaps, skills, or points of interest that may effect game play: I like to think she is rather small and quite compared to most the does in the warren.
Do you have any requests for where this rabbit is placed? Wherever Frith has planned for her ;) perhaps the hutch though
We are planning the Raid for Saturday the 24th, or Sunday the 25th. Which day works better for you, and what times will you be available? Saturday day 1pm-8pm mountain time or Sunday all day (preferably evening)
