A lot of time had passed by in the past year but the war in Destiny City had remained a constant presence. It certainly wasn't healthy for an eleven year old child to relate more to a world of war than a home with family but it had been close to a year now since Xavier had left, and Bell was as typical as ever. Without her mother and father, Bell should have been there to pick up the slack but it seemed that while they did things, sometimes, there seemed to be a larger gap between them than ever.
The child begun to move on from the past, trying hard not to look back into what was only darkness. She looked for alternative ways to fill the void in her heart that had been left by the negligence of others, searching the streets of Destiny City for ways to fill her time. She had a gift, and it was that gift that shined brightly upon her with a desire to help others. She was Sailor Hypnos, Senshi of Sleep and she wanted to put the pain of others to rest.
It was the trail of a youma that had caught her attention finally, drawing the small senshi down a street with haste. She didn't know much about these creatures but she had learned that if left unchecked these critters would cause chaos and havoc, attacking innocent people like wild animals. They didn't belong here, or that's how Hypnos felt on the subject, but they sure thrived here in Destiny City. It brought an interesting question to the child's head, passing by curiously as she gave chase. Were they just in Destiny City, or were they in other cities as well? Perhaps it wasn't just in Destiny City that youma were as common as transit bus routes!

With the upcoming holidays coming up, it meant later shifts at work since the mall would be open later hours. However, the holidays hadn't quite arrived yet, so Yvette was savoring perhaps the last earlier evening shift in a long while. She was sitting upon the bench, leaning back and eyes upon the hazy sky above. Soon enough the sound of the bus rumbling up towards her stop would approach, and she would look to it. However, for now, she'd enjoy the sky. There was still just the slightest hint of light. Soon enough the skies would be nearly pitch black at this time.
She sighed, but it was cut short as she felt something towards the bottom of her back. The tingling feeling quickly spread to her legs. It had been fortunate for her that she had been sitting this time, for now her legs would be about as useless as a pair of noodles for legs.
She couldn't see the culprit, but she knew what it meant. In a preemptive strike of her own, the girl awkwardly squeaked out a simple "H-help?! Please? Anyone?!"

It was the weak sound of help echoing through the air that alerted Hypnos of where the youma had gone to. Hypnos immediately turned toward the sound, the heel of her bunny slippers scratching lightly against the sudden friction of the ground. Fallen leaves crackled and crunched as she began to race over them, racing with all get might toward the bus stop. It was there, creeping between a couple garbage cans that she seen the youma. Not far from the youma was a young girl, older than her, with violet hair looking almost helpless upon the bus bench.
"Ah," she squeaked, wondering why the girl had called for help before it had even gotten to her or made itself known. It was hiding pretty well but had she seen it? Perhaps on instinct she seen it and called for help from the unknown? Whatever it was, it wouldn't be long before the youma set its sights on her. Hypnos set her eyes on it first, slowly moving over toward Yvette as to not make any sudden movements that could draw its attention sooner.
"Miss," Hypnos whispered to her as she drew close. "Miss you must leave quickly." She wanted to her her out of here first, unaware of Yvette's condition.

Her awkward cry for help had been heard, but the one who came to her rescue was not quite what the young adult had expected. It looked like a girl in the most adorable bunny nightgown dotted with stars and moons all over.
A little girl had come to help her.
"Oh... um..." For a moment she debated whispering as well, but then Yvette's voice might have almost vanished altogether if she attempted something of the likes.
It was probably best she spoke like she normally did.
"I... I can't leave..." She hesitated to say the next part. However, if the situation she had been put in with that blonde girl with the baggy pants had taught her anything, it was that she needed to be a bit up front about her own circumstances. "I... can't even walk when they are around..."
In a vaguely quieter voice, she leaned in and asked "Sooo... what are you doing here... sweetie?"

An unpleasant expression rose over Hypnos' face when Yvette told her that she was unable to leave. Immediately she was going to ask why but her delay had given Yvette enough time to elaborate further, causing Hypnos to furrow her brows in thought. They? Did she mean the youma? It was the only connection she could think of other than her rabbit slippers and that was just absurd!
She nodded her head, informing Yvette that she had heard and sort of understood what she was saying. It was the next part that Hypnos didn't understand. The implication that Yvette was implying when she asked what Hypnos was doing here left her speechless. Wasn't it obvious? She was here to save her! It is what senshi, even little senshi, do.
"I-I'm here to save you," she whispered, her face shining brightly while her arms fidgeted between her bunny plushie and the rope net she'd made.
She was too small to carry Yvette, and Yvette couldn't walk so it left Hypnos with a few options: 1. Drag Yvette! 2. Kill the youma. 3. Lure youma away. It wasn't really a choice though, given Hypnos' strengths and feelings. There was no way she could drag Yvette anywhere without the youma catching on and there was no way she could bring herself to kill it, which left her playing the role of bait.
"I can lure it away."

Yvette's cheeks burned red quite quickly. This little girl was going to save her?! A child was going to save her from a monster?
The first mental images were of this little girl awkwardly attempting to carry her off away from the monster.
The next mental image was of the girl awkwardly attempted to hurt the monster.
It felt awkward no matter which way it was sliced to the elder of the pair.
"Um... uh... i-is... is there a way I... can do something? Idon'treallyknowwhatIcoulddoagainstamonster... but... um... is there something... I could do?" Her fingers awkwardly clenched at the edge of her top before she attempted to point a pinky at the stuffed animal.
"...I could hold your rabbit for you... um... if you want?""

Yes! This little girl was going to save you. <3
The small senshi looked at Yvette as she tried to find something she could do. Hypnos could relate to that, often finding herself on the end of the stick where there weren't as many things she could do as others. She had never given up over it though, so a smile fell across her features as even though Yvette was immobile her spirit was still burning bright.
"Of course," she said, holding Thanatos out to her. "His name is Thanatos, and he'll work to keep you safe as if you were me! Prince's honour."
Leaving the rabbit plushie in the care of Yvette, the chibi senshi gave her one last look before bunny slippers turned on the concrete and quietly crept toward the youma with the net she had made in her arms. The closer she got, the more her heart beat in her chest as she wondered just when the youma would notice her. She knew it needed to notice her there but the thought of when made it all the more nerve-racking. She had to be strong though, there were people counting on her!
And like a snap of a twig, the youma finally noticed her with a roar. The black, hair covered quadrupedal had noticed her and promptly attacked her. Even though she had mentally prepared for this, she still couldn't help but release a high pitched squeak before she began to run away. She thought it would be simple but she had forgotten how fast this thing had gotten out of her sight to begin with. Oh golly, oh golly! It was so fast that Hypnos found herself running zigzags to keep it from biting down on the tail of her bow before she turned around a corner of an alley and out of Yvette's sight.

The girl held out the rabbit, and as carefully as she could, Yvette took him from her hands. A pair of indigo eyes were upon the girl as she introduced the rabbit to her. Many adults wouldn't have been nearly as intent in listening to an introduction for a stuffed animal, but Yvette, even at her age of 20, still did find a sort of childish wonder when it came to plush animals.
"It's a pleasure, Thanatos... a-and... thank you!" With a pair of fingers, she grabbed onto the rabbit's paw and shook.
As the girl departed, she let out a quiet "...please... be careful..."
And then she had to wait.
It wasn't an easy task. The girl awkwardly shifted, moving the bunny into the crook of her arm. And then that noise.
With a squeak, the girl turned around, shifting the rabbit so it was pressed up against her chest tightly as she then attempted to locate the little girl. The monster was obviously there now.
I hope she's alright...please please PLEASE be alright!

Hypnos could no longer see Yvette but she knew she was safe, given how the youma was snapping at the tail of her bow. She yelped, squeaked and tried to pull herself forward even further so she could avoid it. This youma was so fast, and she didn't even want to think about how strong it was. It wasn't important, she just had to keep going until she was far enough away from Yvette.
She had run quite a bit, surely far enough from Yvette by now, but she had turned into an alley. It was a dead end and with a yelp Hypnos backed away, even though there was no escape that way. It had cornered her, and knowing the success it slowed down, seeming to enjoy the hunt it had while it approached her.
There was but one solution to it, dust forming into the cupped hands of the child. She would get as much sleep dust as possible before it got to her and then she would immobilize it, and trap it! It was getting hard to breath though, and standing there waiting for it to get close enough was growing increasingly difficult. She stood there, watching, unsure of what it would do before it finally jumped at her.
Immediately with a cry, the child threw her hands up into the air. Sleep dust flew through the air and fell like rain onto the youma. There was a groan, a huff and then the beast fell beside the child's feet. She jumped, landed, jumped even higher and then lept away from it. There was but one choice now that it was down. She looked at the net, looked at the youma and then threw it. It didn't quite land on the youma so the child rather stupidly rushed over and pulled the edges back so it did.
"I did it!" She announced, falling against a nearby wall as her heart pounded in her chest.
All that was left now was to go tell Yvette, retrieve her plushie and then come back and find a place to put it. It was easier said that done, but she had to be quick about it so little bunny slippers flew around the corner and the chibi senshi found herself back at Yvette before she knew.
"Are you okay?" She replied, hoping she'd been successful.

The little girl wasn't close enough for her to see, which made Yvette worry something fierce. If she wasn't so useless, maybe she could actually do something instead of just sitting by and waiting for someone else to rescue her from the monsters. If she were able to run away, she would! Why couldn't she have such a simple luxury?
If Thanatos was a real living creature, he probably would have been suffocating due to the manner in which the young lady was squeezing him up against her body.
However, only one thing seemed to cause the girl to cease her horridly tight hugging onto the stuffed rabbit. The sensation of tingling that usually resonated towards her lower back was dulling down. It wasn't completely gone, but it was enough where she was able to experimentally extend a leg out in front of her and roll an ankle. It was still alive, but it was definitely much further away.
By the time the little girl had come back, Yvette had been awkwardly attempting to stand herself up. She used one hand to hold onto the edge of the bench, and the other hand was carefully holding onto Thanatos so that he wouldn't fall on the ground.
"Oh... um... y-yes... th-thank you... um..." The girl paused in her expression of gratitude, realizing one thing she hadn't gotten during this whole exchange. "...I don't even know your name, sweetie... M-mine is Yvette..."
She paused before extending out the hand which had been holding onto the stuffed animal. "Thanatos did an excellent job protecting me..."

Hypnos was more than relieved to see that Yvette was capable of standing even if with some difficulty. It was rather sad to watch Yvette struggle to both try and stand and hold Thanatos so protectively so as soon as Hypnos reached her she offered her a hand and accepting her plush bunny back into her arms.
"Oh," she exclaimed as her face grew a light shade of pink. It was so embarrassing to realize she had not even given her name! What sort of lady was as inappropriate as that? Thinking about it made her even more embarrassed, her face turning brighter as her voice grew a bit higher. "I am so sorry. My name is Hypnos! I am so glad to hear he was such a prince and protected you as well as he does me."
Over the sound of her voice was the very particular sound of the bus turning the corner of the street. The child looked from it, to Yvette, back to the bus until finally back to Yvette. She gave a small curtsy, smiled and quickly rushed out of view but not before waving her hand and calling out.
"Bye-bye Yvette! It was a pleasure meeting you!" It really was, could you imagine if she hadn't been there? Hypnos dreaded the thought.

The bus pulled up next to girl. When the driver slid the door open, he found a familiar face looking as if she were a deer staring into the headlights of an oncoming car.
"Yvette... Come on! I've got a schedule to keep, hun!"
The girl staggered into the bus and sat herself down on the very first empty seat she could. There was something the girl couldn't get over.
The moment that Hypnos turned around, she looked like one of those Sailor Senshi. She never knew Senshi came in that size.
At least she'd have plenty of time to think about it on the ride home.
