[21:01] Lauren: They got moved out 5 years before Otomo Suikihime becomes Governor.

[21:05] Lauren: ... neutral It looks like I may be making up a lot of stuff about this, because apparently, there's a good deal of information difference between the fiction and the books.

[21:07] Lauren: It isn't even due to time. I went to the L5R wiki, and they claimed that Suikihime was why the school was made open to all clans.

[21:22] Lauren: It's almost definately going to be a bushi though. Flavor text makes a comment about how the school is "meant" to be for Bushi only because of how rough it is in the colonies, but that it's still open to other types.

[21:26] Rain Yupa: I agree with everything but Spider, because 1.) I don't think anyone would be taught by a Spider willingly, and 2.) I don't think they spent enough time here to warrant it.
[21:26] Lauren: Spider's technically been out there for the past 30 or so years.

[21:28] Lauren: Also, that was a SHOULD. They probably have the experience, but of course no one'd actually put them in charge of the school, because the clans would throw a fit.
[21:29] Lauren: But yeah, after the Destroyer war ends, Iweko sends them out in 1173. Present day is 1198 in the book.
