After their battle had finished and they had gone to the nearest pokemon center to heal their wounded partners, Rory and Xander hunted down the nearest ice cream parlor. After all a bet was a bet and Rory wouldn't be letting the younger boy forget about it either. They ended up walking for a few blocks before finally finding the store.
They headed inside and Rory began browsing the menu.

Xander stood behind Rory while going through his wallet to make sure he would have enough money to cover his older brother's sweet tooth. "So how much am I going to regret our battle?" He asked and looked back at the slightly shorter male.
In the background Rei was standing outside the shop peering in the glass with a rather put out look and swishing her tail.

Rory hummed as he contemplated the offerings the store had. "Depends on how much I wanna make you suffer." As much fun as it would be to raid his younger brother's wallet, he would play nice. For now.

Xander eyed him with a suspicious look and crossed his arms. "And that is?" He asked before the lady behind the counter chimed in. "Can I help you?"

Rory just gave the slightly taller boy a grin and a pat on the shoulder before he turned to the cashier. "I'm gonna have the chocolate, small, and with some of the peanut butter chips mixed in, please?"

"Of course." The lady said and started to fix it. "Is that all?"
Xander sighed in relief and grinned. "I'll take a small chocolate shake and then that will be it."
It didn't take much longer after that to get their ice cream and for Xander to pay. "Where shall we sit?"
Rei's ears perked up when it was clear that they were choosing a spot and hoped that it would be an outdoors one.

Rory took his cup of ice cream from the lady and thanked her before leading Xander over to a nearby table.
"So how's things been? How's Mitchy?" he asked, digging into the frozen concoction.

Xander sat down across from Rory and took a few sips of his shake. "Everything has been pretty good lately, got a new Zubat." He said and gestured to a pokeball on his belt. "Last I heard a few days ago she was going great, getting used to the two pokemon I got her."
Rei paced outside the shop a few times then peered in the window. Why didn't they choose to sit outside?

Rory nodded as he took another bite of his ice cream. He'd been out exploring and hadn't been home in a while. He could barely remember the last time he had seen their parents or their sister. It was by a fluke that he had ran in to Xander.
"That's good. I'm glad she's doing good. What kind of pokemon did you get her?"

Xander swirled his straw and looked at Rory with a grin. "I got her two Bidoof. Both have interesting colors from either a breeding or contest stand point and bot have accessories. I thought they would be perfect for her."

Rory finished off the ice cream and returned Xander's grin. "Nice. At least they can help her out, though I don't know how well they would work for battling."
He sighed and pushed the cup away. "I should get back out on the road. Can you tell them I'll try to come home soon?"

Xander shrugged and took a sip. "She's a co-coordinator and a watcher, not much battling to be done technically except in the contests." And he had learned that Bidoof were surprisingly tough.
"You're leaving already?" He asked and slumped his shoulders. "I'll let them know though you can call them yourself you know." He said and rested his cheek against a hand while leaning on the table. "You owe me another battle before you go."

Rory smiled slightly, "She's a watcher too?" That meant he might run into her on his travels. Maybe she would even want to travel with him.
"You know I don't like staying in one place for too long, Xan," he said softly and sighed. "But I will give them a call and give you your rematch before I go." he smiled softly and reached a hand over to ruffle his younger brother's hair.

"Yep, now that she has her own pokemon she started to travel." Xander said and finished off his shake. "Yeah I know. Perpetual ants in your pants. I'm surprised you even last staying a night." He teased with a sad smile. "Good and don't mess with the hair!" He pouted.

"Good for her," Rory replied, grinning at the other boy slightly.
His grin softened to a small smile, "It's better for me as a watcher to constantly be on the move, even Mitchy will get that eventually."
He stood up and wrapped an arm around Xander's neck. "Let's go, baby brother."
