Lyle headed out into the field and tossed a pokeball to reveal his newest pokemon. "You're up against a fire-type, you're at an advantage!" he told the Buizel.
The pokemon twisted to look back at his trainer, then bounded out onto the field to meet his opponent.

"Rei, use Wild Charge!" Xander called to the ponyta who had thankfully avoided the first attack. Rei lit up with electricity and charged at the water type with a "Ta!".

Comet was not at all expecting such an attack, and was hit quite hard with it, tossing him across the field a short distance.
"Try it again, Comet! Turn up the heat!" Lyle encouraged.
Comet rolled to his feet, then fired another blast of water.

(Edited hp as the type advantage effected too. That crit should have taken him down by 300 since 100 base + 50 type advantage = 150 then x2 = 300)

That didn't seem to be doing to well. Try to change tactics. "Baffle it with Water Pulse!" Lyle said.
Comet picked himself up and shot waves of water at the flaming horse.
