Auto-Damage: 6 The sound of her voice alone makes your ears ring. You were probably better off staying with the card guards, but it's too late now. She's noticed you, and she wants your head. Your only chance is to take her down before she gets to you - just being near her is already taking a toll on your well being. If she gets to you, you'll lose your head. Battle Mechanics Please note: Your HP is reset once you reach here!To start a fight with the Queen, take this post and use it to start your own thread in this forum! You can do this alone, or you can fight her with friends - up to a max of 6 people! (At least three is recommended!) You can kill her as many times as you want, but you can ONLY claim your prize from the Queen ONCE! As long as you succeeded to hit her at least once, you can use the thread for your claim. Before you can claim anything, though, you'll have to defeat her! All standard regular and Fear attack rules apply. But we do have a few special bonuses that you can use - be warned, you still take AUTO DAMAGE whether you attack or you attempt to use these bonuses! You can only SUCCEED at each of these bonuses ONCE. They do not stack! Eat Me: Another one of those little tea cakes? They're just everywhere, aren't they? If you wish to try for this bonus, roll 1d6. If you get a 5 or 6, you grow to twice your size! Take half the auto damage each turn for the rest of the fight. Drink Me: You're not falling for this again. You throw the little bottle at the Queen, and she shrinks down to half her size. If you wish to try for this bonus, roll 1d6. If you get a 5 or a 6, the Queen shrinks to half her size. She takes double your damage anytime you hit, for the rest of the fight! (AFTER the modifier. Rolling a miss still means you miss.) The Card Guards: Maybe they can hurt her more than you do? Roll 1d10. Whatever number you roll is the card you throw at her. Do that amount of damage, without a modifier. Be warned, the Queen of Hearts hates papercuts - she will do 10 DAMAGE to you on this turn. You may only throw a card guard once!

Where on earth did they end up now? Jove came to with a start, realizing he was no longer in that beautiful mushroom forest. It was too dark... Jove's eyes glowed as he scanned the area, taking in the giant door, and the giant playing cards standing at the entrance. And then... Victoria!
The ghost scrambled over to where his companion lay, and hovered protectively over her while he waited for her to wake. Thankfully the cards seemed to keep their distance so long as he kept his. This was the last time he took mushrooms from a stranger!

Waking with her headress giving a light jingle, Lan couldn't help but stare at what she was seeing. Students, idiot cards for guards. Just all if it... Running her head the horsewoman got up and rubbed her head. This was insane, and not in a good way.
She didn't even have the box if mushrooms. It was evidence against whichever famine fool who had helped those blasted students. Looking to the little boil and ghoul she smirked. "Well. At least I know that they did not discriminate on test subjects."

Akhem slowly came to, his vision swimming. Damnit, he really hated his eyes. They always failed him at the most important times. He sat up, looking around. GREAT, another location. He thought he would have gotten out of this freaking madhouse. He noticed that there were cards guarding a door. He just felt that was the way out. He had to get past those stupid things. He looked around some more. He noticed a few things at once. For starters there were others in the room with him. Looked like a girl, a boy, and a creature that he had never seen before. What the hell was that? He became interested. He addressed the group as he struggled to his feet. "Where the hell are we? And who are you people?"

Victoria, dazed and confused, woke up to find herself in an entirely new place; was she right about the mushrooms being poisoned? Did that evil caterpillar move them out of the mushroom forest while they were out? Rubbing her eyes, she noticed Jove standing by her, and reached out to gently tug on his sleeve, "Sir Jove? Where are we?"
She eyed the card guards warily as she stood up, hovering a few inches off the ground as she surveyed the area; she couldn't see any exits... Except for that one door that was being guarded.
"Test subjects?" She echoed, turning towards the source of the voice, her gaze landing on a pretty lady, "Whatever do you mean by that, Miss?" She decided to stay near Jove, figuring that students must stick together... Besides, the older boil had done well to help her get this far; she had gotten lost in the mushroom forest when she did it herself.
"I do not know, Sir," She replied the boil, giving a quick curtsy before she continued to speak, "I'm Victoria Marie Bloodworth - Victoria for short - and this is Jove." She would have introduced him as "Sir Jove", but she didn't want this boil to mistake "Sir" as part of Jove's name.

Although the presence of unfamiliar people in this bizarre place wasn't entirely unexpected, Jove lingered quite close to Victoria, like a wary dog watching out for it's owner. But... Victoria remembered her manners, and that was enough to make Jove relax just enough to offer a short bow when he was introduced. Surely this pair were just as confused as they were, one looked like it could even be another student. The other was clearly a member of the Horsemen clan. It didn't appear to belong to the clans he had studied with on the island, but they all had moments of aloof superiority around the Halloween students if he recalled correctly. But that wasn't the point. It didn't sound like either of the others knew a way out either, judging from their reactions to this strange dark space. The only way out was that door... Offering Victoria his arm once again, he gestured in that direction. ((Feel free to take us through the door guys, and start the battle this round if you'd like, I just had to give us a nudge in that direction!))

Akhem nodded at the two who had introduced themselves. He was less suspicious of them as they knew their names. They looked like students here, though he could not tell what year. He was still distrusting of the other creature he had never seen. The boil named Jove gestured towards the door. Well, might as well get whatever the hell was going to happen started. Addressing the group, "Well lets go! I'm Akhem by the way." he gave the group a jaunty smirk and walked toward the door. As he got closer he heard the cards scream HALT. Well whybthenhell would he stop moving. Did they think they could stop him? He wanted to get out of this madhouse. But apparently he didn't have to confront them because they started to fight all on their own. As they bickered he quietly slipped past. He walked down a hallway, into a grand room. And what he found, was not home. Oh far from that little room in the deep underground of the dorms. He found a very large, very angry queen. This was shaping up to be a GREAT place. He yelled back to the group, "You better get in here quick! We got something big on our hands!" Akhem proceeded to lunge at the Queen. HP: 24/30 Damage: 0 Queen HP: 75

A snort from Lan, her arms crossed into her sleeve. "Lan." That was as much as she would give namewise. "And I expect in something that was in part caused by famine once again experimenting with things. Maybe students. All in all, I do not like it and will be having words with those in charge. That is what I mean by test subjects. Famine experiments..." A huff and hair toss. "Yes, let us go. I have other business to attend too really." Through the doors, Gold eyes rolled as bow was summoned. She didn't even wait before she shot at it. "I bow to no queen." To no one at all really. "Come now little ones, the faster we kill this pretender the faster we can be free of whatever this is." HP: 34 Damage: 4 Boss HP: 71

Victoria was about to take Jove's arm again when the boil named Akhem yelled for them to get into the room. Rushing past the guards, she made her way into the room with Jove, spotting a very angry Queen on the other side; she felt a little ill just to be in the same room as her.
Although she wasn't someone who was into fights, she recognized the Queen as a threat, standing between them and home... So she gave a curtsy before meekly giving the Queen a slap, looking uncomfortable.

The moment Jove heard that violent shriek, the poor pup was almost paralyzed. He clapped both hands over his sensitive ears and winced while Victoria and the others continued on to attack. He let out a whine, inaudible alongside the screaming queen, and he would have backed off entirely had everyone else not already charged forward.
There was no way he'd let Victoria go into that battle without reliable backup!
The pup bolted towards the queen, hands still covering his ringing ears, and he used his ghostly tendrils to rake at her and hopefully drive her back from the meek little ghoul he was protecting.

Akhem snarled as he jumped back from the Queen. Damn he didn't hit her! Well it WAS his first fight since arriving at the school.. he guessed he didn't really know how to fight that well. But what he lacked in skill he made up in determination. He tried to go and punch her again. He hoped this one would at least land somewhere. He saw out of the corner of his eye the boil, Jove, jump to save the ghoul tht had introduced herself as Victoria. He wondered briefly what their relationship was. But that quickly flitted out of his mind. HP: 18 Damage: 1 Queen HP: 60 ((OOC: Do we want to try and add another person in? Or can we not? Or roll for the 2x stat?))

Victoria drew her hand back, and gave the Queen another meek slap; her hand probably stung more than her opponent's face.

The little ghoul giving a slap- well, how proper of her, lacking a weapon. There was a bit of approval from Lan. Jove was also given a look of mild approval. Good boil, good doggie, protecting the ghoul. Very noble and chivalrous. The other boil got approval for just hitting the screaming queen. "Well, this wench is most certainly no queen." A golden arrow sent her way, Lan snorted. "Queens do no throw tantrums. Shall we overthrow her and take her throne for ourselves?" In Lan's mind, for herself. She was clearly the only one fit for such things. Even if this was some illusion done by foolish students of famine experiments. If anyone got to be queen it should be her. HP: 28 Damage: 4 Boss HP: 51

Take what and... what? Jove had no idea what that horsewoman was talking about. And not just because he didn't share her philosophy, he literally couldn't hear a thing! His head was splitting and his poor ears... He would have been surprised to see they weren't bleeding or oozing brains or whatnot.
He could hardly focus, but he had to make sure that ghoul was safe! He lashed out again with the invisible ghostly claws, still covering his ears with both hands.

Akhem jumped back, furious about landing so little damage to the Queen. He looked around to see what the others were doing. At least they had landed better shots than him. As he was looking he noticed something odd. Was that... it was! The little bottles that turned him small at that pool. He wondered what it would do to the Queen. He picked it up and hurled it at her. HP: 12 Damage: 0 ((OOC; double your score for all attacks now!))
