Ginger bows had contracted as the teen eyed the ad she'd found pinned to the bulletin board at her favorite coffee shop. It was a request for a math tutor, but that wasn't what had caught Lydia's eye. It was the name attached to the ad that had caused the girl to do a double take before moving closer to read through the whole of the advertisement. "Well s**t."
Failyn Namgung, a person from Lydia's past whom she'd never really expected to run into again. As Felicia Whitmore the teen had tutored the other girl through out the bulk of her last year at the Crystal Academy before everything had changed. Now it looked like Fai was looking for a replacement tutor, and something about that didn't quite sit well with Lydia. That was her role.
She liked Fai, always had. The younger girl, despite having a little difficulty picking up on mathematics, was actually pretty bright. They didn't have a lot in common, but they had always gotten along fairly well, and even after they'd finished their tutoring sessions Lydia had always enjoyed spending time with the other girl.
So she called the number on the ad, and after a little light chit chat she made an appointment to stop by after class one day for a face to face meeting.
Now she was standing on the welcome mat that belonged to the agreed upon address, and after a quick double check she prodded the door bell, then folded her hands to wait. a smile already pinned to pale lips.

Failyn didn't want to admit that she missed her old tutor. Felicia had been insightful and fun, and had made studying the dreaded math homework a lot simpler and easier.
Of course Felicia had been different then the proper and extremely coincese Fai and yet somehow, they had been friends. So when her grades started to slip, because her new nightly activities her first thought had to been call her friend up.
Only to find out that she had gone missing and that no one had heard anything from her. The news of course had stunned her, that her friend would disappear like that? It made her sad to think of what could've happened.
With no other choice, and a heavy heart she had placed ads in local coffee shops and the Horizon institutes board for jobs. Her parents were of course offering a reasonable sum for the time. It wasn't long either until they found a replacement for her tutor, a girl by the name of Lydia.
Dressed in a soft sweater and leggings, her usual pinned curly white hair was loosely falling at her shoulders and a pair of...and she dreaded wearing them, reading glasses were hogging up all the facial features of the girl.
In short, she felt like a nerdy lady. She heard the doorbell chime, looking at the time and sighed. It was already time for the new tutor...Fantastic. Uncurling her legs, she headed down to the front door and opened it, studying the girl on the otherside.
"Are you Miss Lydia?" She asked politely...just to make sure.

The door opened, and Lydia was met with a blast from the past as Failyn looked out at her. It brought a smile to the ginger's face, and she had to fight off the urge to simply pull the other girl into a hug, because although she knew Failyn, the pale haired girl wouldn't recognize the girl in front of her as someone she used to spend quite a lot of time with. "Hi, I am indeed. You must be Failyn, it's a pleasure to meet you." A delicate hand was offered out in greeting. Because she wasn't certain yet if she had the job or not, Lydia hadn't bothered to bring any study supplies with her, but she had broken out a cook book and made a plate of a chocolate chip cookies to offer up, as both a means to increase her chance of employment, and also a nice gesture for an old friend. Not that she'd know they were for the latter. The cookies were tucked into box nestled inside the stylish bag hanging from lydia's shoulder.

Had the girl hugged Failyn in any sort of way, the door would've been shut in the girls face and she tell her parents that nowadays, people got too comfortable with each other.
Instead, she smiled at the politeness and took the girl's hand in hers. "Welcome Miss Lydia. My parents are actually out right now but I can assure you that they go based off my opinion. They are very...lax." If you could call it that.
She let go of the hand and then moved so Lydia could come in before shutting the door behind her. "If you don't mind, we could have tea in our sitting room. Ah...If you'll follow me." A small walk led deeper into the larger home and into a seperate room set up for what looked like fancy sittings...of proper ladies. The whole room bled pedigree and mannerism. So much that it gave the room a stifling feel almost.
Failyn always assumed that Felicia preferred Fai's room OR Felicia's own home instead because it felt airy and light. The room now just spoke pages of boredom.
But it was a proper room for guest, and Lydia was not Felicia.
"Go ahead and have a seat Miss Lydia, I'll just grab the tea and then we can go over um..." She fumbled for a second, "What we need for our tutoring sessions." Dashing away, she pulled out the prepared tray for tea and then carted it into the sitting room, setting on the table flanked by plump couches.
"If you'd like me to pour, let me know. Otherwise, Enjoy yourself." She smiled as she sat down again and removed her classes. "So Miss Lydia, how old are you?"

For Lydia this was a little like deja vu. The metting wasn't identical, but there were enough similarities that the ginger haired girl had to suppress a soft giggle. Failyn had been very reserved upon their very first meeting some years ago, and things hadn't changed much since. "Tea sounds lovely, and I've brought some cookies as well." She gave the bag at her hip a soft pat as she followed Failyn. She knew exactly where the sitting room was, she'd been there before, but again, it would seem weird if she showed any obvious recognition to the place.it was as stiff and immaculate as it always had been. Personally she felt a more lived in area was more inviting, but that was just her own opinion. She took a seat where indicated, smiling up at Fai as she mentioned their agenda, and once she'd left the room for the tea Lydia pulled the box of cookies from her bag and placed them on the table between the two stiff couches. "You're very kind for the offer, but I think I can manage." She grinned, picking up the tea pot to pour herself a cup before setting it back down and helping herself to milk and sugar. She was taking a sip as Failyn took her seat and asked for her age. "I'm 18," she offered, resting her teacup on it's saucer.
