It hadn't been that long since his last encounter with Quinn. Everything had been so whirlwind. So fast. It was enough to make his head spin. Her face plagued his dreams. A familiar and not so familiar face. The same face but two different people.
He had had a hard time really putting the pieces together. The dreams about her weren't the only strange dreams he had had. Strange places, strange people. It concerned him. Yet he spoke to no one. They were just dreams. So he shrugged them off.
Axel was trying not to let his emotions get the better of him. Last time that happened it killed pieces of him that he had to pick up off the ground piece by piece. So why had he called her out here? What the ******** was he really going to say?
Having rode his motorcycle out to the hills that over looked a small part of DC, he stood there with his hands inside a leather jacket. Grey eyes transfixed on the bustling city that he could not hear. He probably could have picked a closer meeting spot or even his apartment. But that would probably end up hot and heavy rather fast.
Not that he minded. It was hard to keep thinking about it half the time anyway. So he waited.

Of course he wanted to meet outside of the city, where Quinn had no way to mirrorwalk so she actually had to take her car. It was such a random place for Axel to have asked her to meet him. Maybe he really was some creepy internet stalker who was taking her out of the city to rape and kill her.
Well, ******** late now, she supposed. Quinn drove her car as high as she could possibly go on the hill, then parked and walked the rest of the way. Her arms were crossed over her chest to keep herself warm. The wind whipped through her hair as she approached him.
"Hey stranger," Quinn called to him with a wave. "What's with the weird meeting place? Is everything okay?" Her eyebrows furrowed as she studied his face.

And then there she was. He had half expected her to just not show up. It was a weird place to meet. And she probably had a bajillion thoughts that all lead to him raping and killing her or something like that.
You know how the saying goes.
He turned slightly at the sound of her voice coming up the hill. The way the wind whipped through her hair. It was almost like a scene out of some cheesy romance movie. Not that he really watched those but it was close enough to what he would envision would be in one.
"I just figured I'd give you a little bit of that exploring is all. Its not just in Destiny City where neat s**t is. There's tons of stuff around the outskirts of the city people who have lived their entire lives here never know about." He rubbed at the back of his neck lightly. "But I wanted to ask you a question too."

Quinn was completely oblivious to the romantic scene playing out before Axel's eyes. She flashed him a smile before walking just past him to stare at the City moving below them.
"It's beautiful up here," she murmured, the city lights coming on in the sunset reflecting in her eyes (okay, maybe it was a little like a cheesy romance movie). "And I never really thought of that. But you did promise me exploring," she turned to face him with a grin.
"Ask me a question?" Oh god. A million things ran through her mind in regards to what he could possibly want to ask.
"Uhm.... Sure, yeah, shoot. What's your question?" Her eyes locked with his, trying to figure out what was running through his mind.

He watched her appreciatively as she stood in front of him. Giving a nice view of her figure silhouetted from the setting sun. His eyes couldn't help but travel to that fine piece of a** though. But when she turned around his eyes snapped instantly to her face. "I try to keep my promises the best I can." There had been times, in the past, where he had broken certain important promises. For one reason or another. But Quinn had not given him any reason to go back on his promise to show her the things she was missing in and around Destiny City. If he could at least give her that it would be ok with him. Everyone deserved to enjoy the beauty of the world around them. "So...what exactly would you call this. This...thing between us." His eyes lidded lightly as a cool expression crept to his features. "Are we just ******** buddies. Is there more? I need to know where it is we really stand." Before he broke her heart or she broke his.

Quinn stared at Axel when he finally asked his question. Oh god. Was there more? Of course there was more. Wasn't it usually the girl's job to ask where they stood? Secretly she was glad that he asked before she had to be the one to do it.
Her fingers nervously wound themselves through her blonde-tipped hair, her gaze never broke from his.
What would you call this thing between us?
Truth be told, Quinn had never been asked that question before. She was seeing Veer at one point, before they both disappeared... She hadn't had a clue what exactly they were either. Did she want more with Axel? Could she handle more? ******** buddies just called each other when they needed a fix. A relationship required a lot more time and effort... How the hell was she supposed to balance Quinn + Leto + Relationship?
Was he worth the effort to try?
A million thoughts were running through Quinn's head all at once. Her eyebrows furrowed, "I.... Um...." She pulled the strands of hair that her fingers were wound through. There needs to be more.
"Do you want there to be more? I mean, the sex is great. But I can't deny that there's something between us. Like I said at the gym, there's something about you." She stopped talking before she went off-tangent and just sort of turned her gaze to the ground, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

Axel mentally chuckled. Deflection.
But he had to admit that she was right. He felt it as well. This strange draw to her. Everything going as quickly as it was. It was hard to concentrate on school and fighting when she was constantly running through his mind. He'd had this happen before, maybe not quite as strong, but it made him cautious.
Putting his heart on the line like that again. It was scary, to try and break down this wall he had put up around his heart again for an unknown.
He listened as she fumbled with her words until she broke their gaze to stare at the ground. Pulling his hands from the pockets in his jacket, he looked down at the palm of his hands before clenching them into fists and opening his fingers once more.
In a few long strides he closed the distance between them. Standing in front of her now, looking down at her shorter form. Almost soul searching. He placed a finger beneath her chin and lifted her face up so that he could see her face. They said the eyes are the window to the soul.
"There is something about you too Quinn that I just can't put my finger on." Could he really do this? Could he put himself in that position again? "I...." It felt as if his heart were pounding in his ears. "Just promise me you won't break my heart. There's so little of it left I don't think I could survive."

Quinn's cheeks flushed a deeper shade of pink when Axel tilted her chin upwards, forcing her to look into his eyes. She swallowed hard.
Promise me you won't break my heart.
Oh no. So many feels. Wat do?
Could Quinn really make that promise to him? She couldn't tell him who she was. She couldn't tell him what she did. How can she make a promise like that when every single night, she really isn't one hundred percent sure that she was going to make it home?
But how could she say no to him?
She couldn't. Her heart ached for him and she didn't know why and even if it tore her up inside, she wanted him. All of him, not just the sex. Quinn went on her tip-toes and put her hands on the sides of his face, pulling them gently towards each other. "I promise," she said quietly, looking into his eyes before closing them and brushing her lips against his.

It might kill him in the end. There was always that possibility. Spontaneous delights always seemed to have tragic ends. But maybe, just maybe not this time.
If only he could look into the future. So he could see if any trains wrecks were coming his way. It would be a test of himself for sure. He was not sure if he would make it out unscathed. There were still little voices in his head chiming in with their own opinions.
But right now all he knew was that he had been bit by the Quinn-bug. Like a thief in the night she had snuck her way into his life and stolen what little remained of his soul. He would lay down at her alter as sacrifice if it would please her.
s**t how had she gotten so wound up in his emotions.
Wrapping an arm around her waist, he pulled her close to his chest. Running the back of his fingers along her cheek as he pressed his lips against hers in a hungry kiss. She had promised. He was unsure of it, but for now that just didn't matter.

Her mind was reeling. Every logical part of her brain was screaming at her that this was a bad idea. Leto, who had taken over almost every bit of Quinn's being, was practically kicking her repeatedly from the inside. And for the first time in a very long time, Quinn was shoving Leto aside.
Maybe Axel was meant to save her from herself. Not from Chaos, because that was who she was- that she didn't want saving from; she loved her Court and her Queen. But Quinn had been put aside for the last year and maybe this was the universe telling her it was time to give her civilian life a chance again.
How did this guy just storm into her life overnight and take over every bit of her?
In this moment, it didn't matter.
Her arms slipped around his neck, needing to be as close to him as possible. The pure need in the kiss very obvious. She promised. She said the words and now she would do everything in her power to make sure she kept that promise. Finally, she pulled back, out of breath and a giant grin on her face.
"Soooooo..... Does that make you my boyfriend?" Playful, less serious Quinn was back to enjoy the ride.

Who knew. Maybe it was time for Axel to put some effort into some sort of relationship again. Perhaps that is why Quinn bum rushed into his life so suddenly. Maybe he just needed someone to keep him grounded. He was still young, but his life had been so crazy the past couple of years that it was time to focus on other things.
Deep down inside a part of him seemed to leap for joy as it began to come more to the forefront. It was a part of him that felt like he hadn't had contact with in a long time. A stranger.
Her own grin was returned with one of his own as he ran his thumb over her bottom lip. "I believe that is the moniker most people would use."

Boyfriend. Quinn had a boyfriend. It was bizarre to her how much that word along with a promise would change her life. She smiled against his thumb as it ran over her lip, her own fingers playing with the hair at the nape of his neck.
She shook her head slightly and laughed to herself. "I never in a million years imagined this. From video game s**t talking, to mind-blowing sex, to this." She placed another soft kiss on his lips. "I'm pretty sure you've put some sort of spell on me, Axel."
A eyebrow raised. "Or maybe it's drugs. Did you lace that delicious pizza with something on our first date? Slip a little something into my drink?" She teased him between kisses.

Axel felt chills run down his spine as she played with his hair. Hopefully that was baring of a good sign. He would hate to regret putting himself out there again.
Things in his life would change now. Now that he had a girlfriend again. They always did. Little life style changes here and there. But perhaps it would be nice having a bit of stability in his life. Instead of random girls coming and going.
The soft kisses she gave up so freely were going to drive him crazy.
"Hey now, aren't women the ones more likely to catch some sort of love spell or make some sort of mambo number five juujuu potion?" He narrowed his eyes playfully at her.

Quinn would have to readjust her lifestyle as well- no more girls coming and going for her either (ha). And she'd have to tell her roommate about him! It was weird having a man in her life to talk about again.
She smiled and happily continued to drive him crazy with soft kisses planted both on and around his lips, nipping at him gently every once in a while.
"Mmm... Maybe I did," she said between kisses. "Maybe I thought you were worth my bestest most powerful love potion of all," she murmured before planting another firm kiss on his lips.
She fell silent for a moment while she thought, then said quietly. "Do you... Wanna come hang out at my place after we're done exploring? Watch a movie or something?" Quinn had never ever brought someone who was not a part of the Dark Mirror Court into her home- her asking him was a much much bigger deal than Axel could've ever thought.

Lucky for Axel he lived alone. Honestly preferring it that way. You never had to worry about other people and their lives. That and it was nice to just have a place to get away from the world without roommates sticking their noses into your business.
He brushed a few strand strays of hair from her forehead before kissing her there. Letting his lips linger while running his thumbs over her cheeks a couple of times.
Her kissing was relentless and oddly enough it made him feel almost high. "Oh yea? Well if it is as powerful as you say it is then you are probably stuck with me now. No regrets right?" He chuckled deep in his throat.
Watch a movie after exploring a bit? That...actually sounded kind of nice. Though sometimes movie watching led to kissing. Kissing lead to heavy petting. Heavy petting led to heavy sweating. Yea he wouldn't mind doing that. "Sure sounds like a plan. I wonder what the house of Quinn is like."
