Lyle headed into the stadium, Sentry following along behind him. Looked like the stadium was a plain concrete one today. "Go on, Sentry, you know what to do."
The Bidoof nodded and stepped onto the field to await her opponent.

Jem walked into the trainer box and looked around. She spotted Lyle and waved. "Good luck!" she called, and then released her ivysaur.
"Time for some butt kickin Taurus!"
He gave the woman a long-suffering look, and then headed onto the field toward his opponent.

The sharp leaves shot towards Sentry, slicing through her fur. She shifted her feet and tensed her muscles, preparing for the battle before she actually got under way.

Sentry winced as the leaves bit particularly deep. Then she rushed forward, trying to grab one of the Ivysaur's leaves and yank it off.

Taurus cursed colorfully and shook the normal type off. "God I hate battles! It's like the whole point of them is to destroy my foliage!" he lamented before sending another barrage of leaves at Sentry.

The ivysaur realized that he wasn't going to get a safe ammount of distance between him and his opponent so he switched tactics. When she was still close he shot out vines to ensnare her, hopping to lift the bidoof and slam her into the ground.

Sentry was swiftly ensnared and slammed into the concrete. She struggled to get free for a moment, then gave up on that. Instead she opened her mouth and shot a beam of chilling energy at the Ivysaur.

"s**t!" Taurus quickly dropped the bidoof and narrowly missed getting some freezer burn to the face. He tried to retreat again, throwing more bladed leaves to hopefully slow Sentry down.

Sentry had the air knocked out of her when she was dumped on the ground, and wasn't able to recover in time to do anything to resist the onslaught of leaves. She struggled to her feet and shot another beam at the Ivysaur, trying to make it stop that.
