Within the city limits, one little sailor was making her patrols over the large but widely expansed park of Destiny city. Although it was late, the sun had yet to set and was crisping its way to a chilly. Even in her almost skimpy uniform, the girl seemed to be warm enough.
"I thought I felt someone here..." The uneasy feeling she had gotten on and off again seemed to settle in between her breast. It was a pressure as if something was going to come.
"Excuse me. Is anyone here right now?" The senshi turned her head left and right as the sun disappeared over the horizon. "Hellloooo?"

He'd been watching her from the rooftop of a nearby building, the brim of his hat pulled down low over his brow, his eyes narrowed slightly at each of her movements. She seemed somehow new to the whole scene (not that Aurostibite could talk much on that front), and her voice carried easily up towards him, sounding hesitant.
The gentle brush of a power signature touched him; not stronger than he was, but not weaker either, perhaps around the same level, which was both a reassurance and an annoyance. Aurostibite pushed a few stray strands of hair away from his eyes and eased his legs over the side of the building, leaning forward to rest his elbows on his knees.
A little farther, he thought, just a little farther.
He waited until she had wandered closer to him; the building was not that high, perhaps two stories at most, so he had an easy view of the senshi as she wandered aimlessly about the ground beneath him, looking simultaneously lost and curious. Aurostibite pressed his lips together and huffed out a short breath.
"Looking for someone?"Nyxtsuki Moon I love that the date on this is 2012 /cries laughing

The chaos signature closed in, making her a bit more nervous, though it wasn't overwhelmingly so. if she had been smarter, she would've realized that calling out blindly for someone was a beacon of pretty much saying" Hey I'm a target, come and hit me.
Just as the feeling of chaos felt the strongest, a voice called out from above and had her gaze lifting up towards the figure. She could at least make out a negaverse uniform but other then that.
"It depends." She shuffled her hands and lacing them together. "I suppose I was looking for the source of the energy I felt. Which is you. So not really looking, found but..." Mintaka bit at her lip.
"If you're going to attack me, I'd humbly request that you do not hit my face."Kuroopu BETTER LATE THEN NEVER RIGHT?!?! We waited for this date for two years I am just saying neutral

Well, she hadn't run away, and she hadn't attacked him, either. Aurostibite wasn't entirely certain that was a good thing or not, but whatever the case, she was apparently more brave than he'd initially gathered from the sound of her voice. He leaned over and looked at her in the half darkness, squinting slightly to make out her form.
"Well," he said, in a dry, unamused sort of tone, "you found me, whether intentional or unintentional."
Her request startled him a little. Aurostibite frowned, and pushed himself off the edge of the building, soaring downwards in a clean jump until his feet hit the ground with a loud smack. It was slightly jarring, and it took him a few seconds to straighten, but then he smoothed a hand down the front of his uniform and scowled at the senshi.
"You don't get to decide where I hit," he said flatly.

"Yes, It seem's I have." She watched him soared down, cringing a bit with the sound of his feet hitting the concreting and trying not to imagine the shock in his legs from the sudden solid under them.
As he had yet to attack, she took the time to study him. Young like herself, no weapon, the crisp military uniform of the negaverse. And color in his hair. It shouldn't be odd for hair to be colored, but she had yet to meet any others that had well...pretty colors in it.
Making a small ahem sound.
"This is true, but when a lady usually request something, a gentlemen considers and then accepts the request. A small thing to ask after all since I won't be fighting you." She did bring her hands up defensively, "unless you attack first."
On a afterthought, she added - "I am Mintaka, Senshi of Origami. It's...a pleasure to not hit my face and meet you."

He stood there with his hands at his sides, half because he wasn't going to attempt anything yet, and half because if he did it would only be to embarrass himself with the pathetic excuse of a weapon he currently had access to.
Still, he scrutinized her like she was him. Aurostibite's narrowed eyes swept from the top of her pale head to the bottom of her pointed shoes, and his gaze shifted slightly from entirely dismissive to somewhat suspicious. His fingers curled against the inside of his palm.
"Who said anything about me being a gentleman?" he said flatly. "I am a Lieutenant in the Negaverse. We do what's right, and whether people get in our way or not is an entirely different story. As for you being in my way, well..."
He frowned, tilting his head a little. "Origami?"

She didn't like the once over, but decided to pick the better battle, instead of confronting him and his very obvious rude look over of her, she instead waited for him to finish.
Instead of brushing her off though, he looked intrigued and curious. She could work with that she supposed.
"I suppose no ones ever told you that its impolite to stare at a lady without even offering your name." She had told him after all, her hands lacing together and resting closer to her thighs. "I don't see your title as a reason for not being a gentleman? You can do what you think is right without beimg impolite in the first place." She cocked her head at him.
"Origami. Do you want to see?" she drew her hands together and focused. Her breathing evened out as she called for the POWAH. "Origami Flurry." He was within her range, but to make him feel better, she stepped into her own attack.
It was slow at first, like snow. A few paper stars fell from nowhere, and soon it grew a bit heavier, with paper cranes and paper stars. She looked up at them, picking one of the cranes out of the air with her fingers and bringing it her to her lips. "A crane for good luck and protection."

He just stared at her some more without any indication that he was going to offer up his name, which probably was not the most polite thing to do, but Aurostibite had never really been about being polite in the first place, which made the point entirely moot.
"There is no correlation between being polite and doing what's necessary to survive," Aurostibite pointed out flatly, giving the senshi - Mintaka, she'd said her name was - a scowl. He pushed a few strands of hair away from his face and then his gaze narrowed to the spot where her hands were pressed together.
Paper cranes. Just like his own (currently useless) weapon. For the first time, he let his guard slip, his mouth falling slightly open as he stared at the little paper creations currently floating around them, drifting off down towards the ground.
He clamped his jaw shut, his cheeks faintly flushed as he said, "Paper brings no protection."

"Your point of view versus mine." She shrugged. She actually seemed to get past the scowl and she was still waiting for his name. "Sometimes it's better to go through life with sweetness then assuming that force is the only way to go."
The cranes finished their flurry, piling between the two much like a snow covered ground.
"That's not true either." She held the cranes tenderly. "But if you don't look for a way to use it, or believe in it, then it holds no power ever."
She looked up at him, "Do you have something against paper cranes?"

He watched the cranes with mingled emotions that ranged from irritation to bemusement to shame, his face a mask of annoyance. Aurostibite tugged on the brim of his hat and shook his head. A single paper crane held no possible offense except perhaps a paper cut.
Wordlessly he stretched out his hand, gloved palm facing upwards to reveal a single paper crane resting in the middle of his hand.
"It seems we are of similar tastes," he said flatly. "As this is mine."

"A crane!" Mintaka leaned her head over as he summoned his and then laughed a bit. "I would've never pegged you for such. And so well made. Do you summon them more then one at a time or is this the same one over and over again?" She asked curiously.
But she did understand how it would seem that his weapon was useless. She could summon more then 200 origami shapes...He could only do one.
"You still haven't told me your name mysterious knight of cranes of the negaverse."

He closed his fingers around the crane, not quite crushing it, but rather hiding it from view. Aurostibite lifting his chin. A muscle was flexing in his jaw; a combination of emotions ranging from annoyance to humiliation at his useless weapon could be seen passing across his face.
"I can summon one, the same one," Aurostibite said flatly. "If it becomes destroyed, another grows in its place. It does little to actually accomplish much, seeing as how it's mere paper."
For a few moments he didn't answer her other question at all, his eyes boring into hers, and then finally, he said, a little grudgingly,
"My name is Lieutenant Aurostibite."

"Oh." She watched his face close off, frowning a bit. "You know...." She tried another smile at him. "I still don't think it's useless. Cranes can be messengers as well. Do you fancy yourself to be a fighter? Do you want to fight?" She asked quietly, "Is that what you want to achieve while you are in the negaverse?"
She reached over to his hand...hesitating over it and gently unfolding his hand a bit just so the crane would not be crushed.
She didn't mind the long pause and quietness of the lieutenant. She would meet his gaze just as equally.
"Aurostibite." Her smiled radiated just a bit more. A step. A step in a good direction. She wasn't sure why it made her all the more happier beyond that she was.
She summoned, with her power, a tinier crane and set it in his hand with his.
"There. Now you have two cranes. You have just doubled the the use of your weapon." It was a small joke, mostly to her. Since he didn't seem to trust in his given weapon.

He'd been in the Negaverse for quite some time and still had yet to advance to a level that was satisfactory, which was simultaneously humiliating and demeaning all at once. That, combined with his useless weapon made for a somewhat pathetic Lieutenant, facts that Aurostibite was all too aware of.
"I want to be heard," he said flatly. "The Negaverse does not do things idly, it is those who stand around and pretend to be good that are the true villains here. The Negaverse merely chooses to be more forceful in its ways, which I have yet to see a problem with."
Her touch startled him, Aurostibite jerking a little as she unfurled his clenched fingers. The benign crane sat there, its little paper wings folded neatly against its sides, and he scowled at it, a muscle in his jaw tensing. Mintaka placed a second, slightly smaller one in his palm, and at her words, a flush danced across his cheeks.
Aurostibite closed his fingers around the cranes, crushing them.
"Mocking me will not gain you sympathy," he snapped.

Mintaka was very unaware of Aurostibites internal drag on of himself, mostly because she was too busy thinking of ways to make him at least smile once. He had such a serious face, it'd be nice to at least see a smile once.
"I see." She tried to keep her own smile from faltering. "I listen to you, I am listening to you. And you didn't have to be forceful with me. It doesn't bother me that Negaverse has a goal, an ideal they wish to achieve. It bothers me when they go about it in a way that makes them also look like villians. Taking energies, letting youma wander the street. Those are things I take care of. Those are the only things I would."
She watched him crush the two cranes, huffing out a breath. "I didn't give you my crane for you to crush..." She formed another one, "I gave it to you so that when you wanted me to listen again, it'd be easier to find me." She sighed, "And because I don't want your sympathy, because I want you to smile. Unfortunately, I'm not very good at friendly teasing." She chuckled nervously.
