Maia was chancing it, she new going out now when she was still keeping away from her family. Xander knew her secret, but,she so missed being Maia. It was odd, powering up was something she thought she would never miss at one point, but when she kept from it, she did.
No she didn't miss battling youma and negaversers, being hurt or even hunted. No, she missed her allies, her friends, her planet and all the good things that came with being a senshi. Being Maia gave her more than she thought she might have now without it, even if she was currently a bit estranged from her family.
Maia, walked into the park, shivering slightly in the cool nearly winter air. Her fuku wasn't exactly the best for the cold, but it was modest and it suited her, she wouldn't trade it for the world. She walked singing, "Blue Moon" , softly even though she knew it could possibly draw attention to herself. Still it felt good to be back in this skin, so she wasn't terribly worried.

It was daunting at times and yet Alexandre went out nearly every night and powered up into Benitoite. It wasn't that the job itself, or powering up and spending hours out wa daunting. It was being judged based on what side he was on, even though he did do the same thing more often than not. It wasn't enoughm the judgement, the fighting, and injuries to keep him from powering up. By now it was really second nature, and perhaps some of the personality traits he had more as Benitoite were bleeding into his every day civilian life. But he wouldn't give up being Benitoite for anything, though he also felt he needed a short (very short) break from it all. Tonight though was a night to go out and patrol the city streets.
he'd already left the house and had walked several blocks from home, bundled up nice and warm with a scarf wrapped tightly about his neck and tucked into his coat. The only thing missing was a hat or some form of ear and head cover.
Acting as casual as ever, he really didn't want some curious person to follow him, he ducked into an ally and powered up. It was moments later that the general was gone from the ally and several more moments before he was elsewhere - the city park. he knew senshi seemed to frequent the area and while a fight wasn't on his mind the park was also a good place to gather energy and a quite place as well, if you kept from the popular areas.
It was late and the childrens playground was a safe, and unoccupied, place to arrive and that's just where he'd appeared. Standing there looking rather out of place he tilted his head to one side as if listening to something. He wasn't listening though but there was something going on. Some senshi, an eternal, was near. Well, lets see how things went. He didn't move, didn't head toward them as he might have on most other nights. He didn't leave either. he found himself a place to sit, perched up in the metal poles which formed a latice worked dome for children to swing from and climb upon. Let's see if this senshi came for him.

Maia was nearing the playground when the energy popped into existence making her frown. It was the playground where she first met Wolframite and feeling a chaos energy close to his level, put her instantly on edge. He was someone she was still unsure of, someone who she had a lot of anger towards, someone who had a lot of anger towards her. She was irritated with her family currently and the situation she was in, so she doubted a run in with Wolframite would end well.
Still the chances it was him weren't astronomically high and she had been away for quite some time, it was probably best she at least get a glimpse. For all she knew other negaverser had made it to the general ranks, much like senshi were powered up through out the years the same was said of the negaversers.
She frowned her song ending as she moved closer to the playground keeping out the path and close to the tree until she was close enough to see that it was in fact not Wolframite, but instead what she thought was Benitoite. He she decided to approach. Their encounters thus far didn't lean towards violent and she might be able to get a bit of information from him.

Well, whoever it was they were coming his way. It looked like he was in for a fight, at least that was his first assumption. How many senshi followed a energy signature and didn't attack when they finally made contact? Though the thought could also be due to that little senshi who had come across him and attacked without a second thought - idiot. His golved hands tightened their hold on the cold metal poles of the jungle gym as he looked around, hoping to catch sight of the senshi.
As she came out of her hiding spot he nodded to himself. He knew this senshi and she wasn't likely to outright attack him, though she was still a senshi and she was eternal. Those things alone warranted his not so friendly approach as he stood and jumped down from his perch.Landing in the sand below with retaliative ease he let his arms remain at his sides.
"And where have you been? It's been quite some time since we've crossed paths..." Musing and colder than he'd last spoken to her. There was no edge to his words but the coldness was there, not frosty but chilly.

Maia bristled slightly at being asked where she had been. It hit a sore spot with her and made her instantly irritated, the situation with her family had her not wanting at all to feel like she needed a keeper. She needed, family, friends, allies, but not a keeper.
"I'm a very busy person, not that is any of your concern," she said in a slightly irritated tone usually foreign and absent from the girl. She groaned not really want to get in a fight with the other, but she heard his tone and wondered if her company was very wanted at the moment.
She didn't want to start a fight but the comment he just made had really ruined her mood. Still she tried not to get to irritated, taking a deep breath before sitting down in the cold grass and looking up at the sky. "I didn't come here to fight. I will if I'm pushed, but I'd rather not take it there."
She leaned back on her hand and started to sing as she had been before but her song was changed, she now sang "Little Wonders" as it was one of her favorites. She patted the ground beside her, but kept looking up at the stars as she sang.

He'd have commented, maybe even said something to anger her into attacking, but he didn't. He kept his eyes on her and listened to her. Seems he had hit a sore nerve with his words - oh well. It wasn't his concern but he did want to know. Had she been away or simply busy? He understood being busy, having a life beyond this. But she hadn't turned up at all, not that he was aware of at any rate. So had it been that or had she been away? He liked to know things about those he met often, whether they were on his side or not.
"I see, a peaceful night and yet you are out here as you are." He stated, motioning with his head to her indicating her powered up state. You could almost be sure to get into some fight, or have a run in, when powered up. To have a completely peaceful night seemed impossible really.
The song she sung was one he knew, and he almost said it aloud, he heard it often enough in the past from Lily. It wasn't a song he would dare sing, he had no voice for singing, but it was one he knew and knew well. The words went through his mind even as the senshi continued.
"You still show trust in me, why?" He questioned to break the silence that was only really not silence due to the singing, but it was conversational silent.

Maia wasn't about to tell him she'd been away. She wasn't stupid, there was no telling who he was and it was not secret that she in her civilian life had gone to England on vacation and been there for the last six months. No the secret was that she was back in Destiny City. Not many people knew, well as far as she knew, since she still knew nothing of her brother's doings.
Maia turned to Beni mid lyric and gave him a small smile, "You have not given me a reason to distrust you, but you feel I should than you are free to tell me why?"
Maia looked back to the sky, "I imagine, however, that you would, as I would I like to keep the number of enemies I currently have few. Also just judging by our first meeting and I am not trying to insult you, but I do not think you would be able to defeat me."
It was a bold statement coming from Maia, as she had been out of the loop for months, but she really felt that Benitoite wouldn't do well in a battle against her. She wasn't entirely sure why, it was just a feeling she had.

"Time has gone by and people change. You don't seem to worry about what changes may or may not have happened. You still show trust." Came the honest answer. It was rather odd that after so long she would still trust him, someone who had moved up in ranks and had done who knows what (well he knew and others did but did she?). Maybe as a civilian she was simply a trusting person? He knew he wasn't as trusting, especially now, but he wouldn't be so trusting right now like she was being. It could get a person killed.
"It isn't something most would do, simply because such a thing can get someone injured or killed." He added after a moment before shaking his head, his head lowering so blond hair covered his eyes like a curtain. "You think that highly of yourself? Or is it that you thinking that lowly of me? Though I have never seen you in a battle so I suppose it should be understandable you'd think that about me, assuming since I've never seen you that you've never seen me." Somehow he didn't like her thinking him that weak and safe to be around. It was insulting and bothersome.

"I know that people change and I do not trust you explicitly, but as of yet you haven't, as I said a moment ago, given me a reason to distrust you. Though currently it seems to me as though you don't want me to trust you. Sound like maybe you feel guilty about something."
He made it seem to her as though she wouldn't expect him to try to possible hurt her or have done terrible things. She didn't trust him totally, but she did trust him not attack without reason and he had proven that to be the case time and time again. People changed that was most certainly true, but humans tended to be creatures of habit, even Maia herself fell into that category, fore here she was as she was often in the park.
"No I do not think that highly of myself or lowly of you. I am not that kind of person. It's just a feeling I have. I'm sorry if I insulted you." Maia stood feeling irritated, it was like all the frustrations of the past several months were rising to the surface break free at the wrong time. At a time when Maia did not want to fight, she was unintentionally goading Benitoite.

"No, not guilt. A simple wondering and surprise at how trusting you are after so long. Most wouldn't be, whether a reason is given or not." He stated simply. Though those who knew him, on the other side, likely didn't trust him. But he didn't mention it, no reason to. If she had been away for a while she'd find out if she mentioned him to the right people, like that one who always made him see spiders.
Well, she certainly hadn't changed one bit, or so it seemed at any rate. She was still polite and even apologizing for things. She was till as she had been before. Different from other senshi...and yet she was still one of them. She seemed to follow the rule that there was an an exception of everything - she was the exception. Or at least that's how he viewed it.
"This feeling....I wonder why you have it. Although I do believe I have a feeling as well though it says quite the opposite." He mused aloud, his lips quirking into a parody of a smile, it was a little more twisted and a little darker, that was directed to the short red haired senshi.

She gave him a curious glance, "does that mean than that you do not trust me because you do not seem as though you particularly distrust me. I've been an eternal senshi for some time longer than you've been a general. I'm sure you understand that it takes work to get there."
Maia didn't like the fact that Benitoite seemed to think she was incorrect in believing she could beat him. She'd worked on two teams, the second being trained by Ares and the BMC. She wasn't the weakling and she could take care of herself. She'd been fighting in this war for three years, three longs years of surviving battle after, garnering scar after scar, and countless tears shed. She was a strong person, strong and determined to prove that point.
She turned to frowning and without so much as a seconds warning she called out her super attack, "Absolute Harmony," letting the music fill her up and singing out her attack the notes popping into existence to fill the space between her and Benitiote before the mini tornado of notes rushed at him.
It would be hard for him to escape at this distance, but she knew there was a possibility Wolframite may have shared the knowledge of how to avoid the attack to an extent.

"Indeed, it does take work." He would admit that to get to that rank took something, a certain special something, no matter what faction a person worked for. To get the power this eternal senshi, and himself, had it did take work. "I don't trust you nor do I distrust you. You could say it's neutral or even that it's tentative." Meaning he wasn't so tense around her but he also wasn't fully relaxed. he wasn't going to go talking business and personal life with her. Then again how many people in his civilian life did he truly trust enough to talk to about his personal life. He might no longer be able to count them on one hand but he knew the number was still small - limited. For a single moment he felt a pang, a tangible sadness, that he didn't have more people he was close to in an intimate friends manner. And yet the feeling passed as quickly and suddenly as it had appeared. He couldn't deny it to himself, and wouldn't, he wanted someone he could be closer with. Damn emotions and feelings that he'd been opening himself up to for the past...how long? Pushing the thoughts aside, it wasn't the right time to think about himself and self analyze, he forced himself back onto the topic, and person, at hand.
Having faced her once and only fallen asleep, for a short time, Alexandre didn't feel he was being overly confidant in himself. But as he watched the translucent rainbow notes of music whirl about him he did start to wonder if his first assumptions were wrong. Summoning his weapon and making as if he could block this attack, really how could he when he was surrounded? Benitoite chanced a look behind himself even though he already knew those notes would be there. He had no way to defend himself from all sides. He didn't like this feeling of being surrounded, he had no way to get out of this, and he didn't like feeling so vulnerable.
These things, feelings and thoughts, flashed through him in a rush and before he could respond or do anything, not that it would help, he was falling under the affects of the spell. Heavy feeling and calm - passive. He knew he had been ready to fight a moment ago but it had all left him, even that vulnerable feeling. So when he lashed out with his weapon it was weakly made and without any drive behind it.

Maia simply jumped back at the lazy attack. She already knew it would be a whole two minutes before he really started to come out of the calming effects. She was slightly impressed though because he was still moving and awake which was more than she could say the last time.
"Not a good feeling is it," she asked slightly before moving quickly to his side and dropping down to swing her leg out at his feet. She intended to knock him down. She knew she had to take advantage of the advantage her attack gave her. She could weaken him and there wasn't much he could do about it.
She only felt slightly bad at the moment, her indignation at the past few minutes, days, weeks, and months had her pushing the feeling down. Her point, the one she needed to prove to herself more than anyone reigned supreme. She had a stance in this war, she couldn't flounder anymore. She needed to stand up and be that person she knew she could be, that her sister saw when she looked at her.

The last time he'd also been sick, having his energy unknowingly drained from him. He hadn't stood a chance against her attack then, now he had a chance. His knees felt like they didn't want to hold him, they wanted to turn inward and buckle under him, as he tried again to slash at the senshi.
He'd have grit his teeth if he didn't feel so..peaceful. he knew this, he knew that comment would anger him, like that one so long ago made by Kallichore when he'd fallen to her attack for the first time. It was those sorts of comments which angered him, and put the senshi on his bad side permanently. As he swung his weapon at her the senshi was taking his legs out from under him and he went down. His grip on his weapon tightening in order to keep it in his possession. He didn't want to see if a senshi would pick up his weapon and use it against him, he also didn't want to see if they could.
From his place on the ground he jabbed the bladed weapon out toward her, wanting to catch her when she would least expect him to attack.

Maia easily avoided the slashes while he was standing, he hadn't been able to hit her while he was standing. When he went down and jabbed the weapon out at her she hadn't in fact been expecting it, so the weapon grazed her side slashing her fuku and leaving an angry red mark on her side. A trickle of blood ran down into the fabric and Maia gave Benitoite a hard glare before jumping up slightly and dropping her knee down on the weapon.
She balled her fist up, ignoring the stinging ache that came from her side and sent her fist sailing for the general's stomach. She intended to leave the downed Benitoite winded and aching.
"That hurt," she half whimpered, half growled. She was a tornado of emotions not all totally directed at or stemming for the boy, half wanting to cry, half slightly raging. It was not really a good combination. She really needed to stop repressing her emotions.
