When Tian had first started her patrolling, she thought that there was some good coming out of it. Of course, there was, but it seemed like most nights were quiet and well... Dull. There wasn't much she could do minus run, jump, and other ways of physically helping her body.
"Wouldn't this time be better of spend in a gym?" Tian knew there were 24 hour gyms. There she could be doing aerobics as well as lifting weights. Not that she liked to, anyways. Fencing was still her passion, but those were not open as long as regular gyms.
Tian was surprised when she was on a rooftop and wandered into another. The building was three stories high, so Tian hadn't noticed it at first. The energy that she could feel seemed similar to another that had been felt before. "Hm... It feels like a DMC... But higher rank than me, I think."
Curious, but not wanting to attack yet, Tian peeked over the edge of the building, looking down at the person there.

Virtus was kicking a can in an alley. He was thinking over everything he had been told recently, and his own decisions and backtracking. He still felt like he was at a loss, and that he was not anywhere closer to fixing that.
He wondered if his brain was just broken or something. Like it was just impossible for him to get over this hump. He needed to do his job, as he was asked to do. Why was he even questioning it? It was not his place: he was given this power to do what he was told, and the fact that he was struggling with it like this just seemed like an affront to his queen.
Like he was wasting her gift, and squandering the trust she and his fellow teammates had put in him. Of course, a lot of that was in his head, because he did not get to talk to everyone, but that sense of unity remained.
He was betraying them by not doing things like he should.
Feeling an aura above him, he looked up and saw a head peeking out from the roof. It was a senshi. The very last thing he wanted to run into: because now he would have to choose.
"What are you doing up there?" He asked politely, hoping his voice carried up there.

Tian watched the stranger as he was kicking a can. It was weird to see someone that bored. She knew that the Order aligned were running around the city protecting people, and the Chaos would be collecting energy, but this guy didn't seemed like he wanted to do either.
It wasn't until he called out to her that Tian bother to do anything. Not really wanting to call back, she took the emergency fire escape to get her down to the street level again. Eventually, she landed with a small thud, landing on one knee before standing up again.
"I'm out for patrol, like I do a few times a week," Tian looked at him, wondering what he was up to. "Normally looking out for people like you and protecting the citizens of this city."
Tian was surprised at how important she made herself sound. she shrugged it off though, knowing that she was just a small piece of a very large puzzle. She stood in a pose ready to attack or defend before speaking again.
"It doesn't seem like you're doing much though..."

Virtus watched as the girl climbed down to where he was. He just had to hope and have faith that she was not the kind to attack first and ask no questions at all, ever. He was not a fan of those kind of white moon, and while he tried to do that once it had not worked well for him.
He just could not justify attacking someone that did not deserve it. Unfortunately, in his generous mind, very few people ever seemed to deserve it. Even to defend himself, he did not have a strong will to hurt someone else.
He was a healer, and just an overly nice guy.
"No, I'm not going to hurt anyone tonight. I don't like hurting anyone, though I don't think our energy gathering counts. But I know you guys do, and I don't want to do that tonight. I don't want to pick any fights... if I can avoid it I mean. I know it's part of my duty and I really want to do that but it's so difficult! My head is starting to hurt."
He hadn't meant to spill his thoughts like that, but the words just tumbled out.

It was the first time Tian met someone seemingly as nice as this DMC. It felt weird, mostly because it confused her to how someone so nice could be part of the faction that wanted to kill and take peoples' energies. "Doesn't make sense... But that's how it is, right?" Tian was pretty sure that there was more than likely mean Order aligned people too, but who knows.
Maybe deep inside they're more dark than one would expect?
"I'm glad you're not hurting anyone tonight." Tian really thought about the word 'tonight' though about how the DMC had hurt people before. It was clear that he didn't want to hurt others, but... Wasn't energy taking hurting a person in some way too? Pushing that aside, Tian spoke again. "I still can't let you take energy from innocent people," she told him softly.
Tian was glad at least that her attack had no painful effects to it. "Sorry," she told him before calling out to her attack. "TianGuan, Mask Mixup!" She closed her eyes as her tiara grew bright, releasing the energy mask. Well, at least the mask would choose whom to help and sabotage. If Virtus had a dime for every White Moon (and sometimes Chaos) soldier he confused he would be able to build a house out of dimes.
Virtus nodded his head, thinking she might say something like that. They all did. It was all or nothing with them. Even if he wasn't patrolling tonight, they still wouldn't just let him go on his way unless he assured them he would never steal energy again, and that was something he could not do.
Because it was a lie.
Virtus was surprised when she used her magic. His own was not useful in an actual fight, though much more so after said fight was done. The effects of her magic became apparent to him when his vision split, and he found himself staring at three of her, when before there had only been one. Or had she actually split into three people?
"Whoaa!!" he yelped helplessly, though his newly honed battled instincts told him to at least try to defend himself, even with a kind of pathetic swing at one of the three.

There was a sense of relief as well as guilt as she watched the mask land on Virtus. Not many had experienced her magic as of that night, and Tian wasn't surprised as she watched Virtus' confused and surprised expression. "I wish you were just on the same side," Tian thought with a sigh.
Tian watched as Virtus made a swing for her. She wasn't sure which one he hit, but it missed her and she took the chance to attack back, aiming for a quick kick to his side. It wasn't super hard, but would be enough strength to push Virtus to the floor and maybe cause a few scrapes.
A part of Tian knew that she had to defend the city and the people in it, but she felt bad fighting someone that wasn't looking for a fight. It wasn't that she wouldn't willingly attack another Chaos member, but it was this specific one that she felt bad for. "Ugh... If only you didn't have to harm people of the city... If only you were not of the DMC..."
How do nice people fare on the side of Chaos?

"Oooph!"
Virtus was easy to knock over on a good day, but when he was confused and struggling it was really just like knocking over a triangle resting on its point. He toppled almost on his own, though her kick had certainly landed. He felt some scuffs on his hands as his instincts made to catch himself.
He took a breath, the wind knocked out of him, shaking his head to clear his vision.
"That was a good attack!" Even though it had resulted in him getting hurt, he had to admit that the magic was interesting and impressive, and she had used it well. He could admire that in other people, right? There was no harm in giving some compliments. Even in a fight, with a supposed enemy.
He got to his feet slowly, taking a breath and lifting his fists. His will to swing, though, was a little lost.

Tian was confused on how to respond to Virtus at first, but he wasn't like that Negaverse office that talked down to him. She couldn't help but be polite. "Thank you... Are you okay?"
The last part was blurted out before she realized it. Tian knew that it was hard for her to fight because she was supposed to be taking care of people as a doctor, not hurting them. She watched him get up slowly, sort of feeling bad. "Ugh... I hope he's okay. He's definitely moving a lot slower than he was before."
She could see that his fists were up in the air again, but Tian knew that her illusions were either disappearing soon or gone already. Before she had time to find out whether or not they were still there, Tian went for another attack, this time aiming to kick Virtus on the side of his left calf. She knew that the easy way of taking down a male would be to aim for the genitals... But she had only done that once and she didn't like said person.

"I think I'm okay!"
He smiled brightly at her, though he was definitely going to be feeling this in the morning. He was feeling it now, but things always seemed to hurt more when they've been sitting for a bit.
Then he was getting kicked and he let out a yelp. He toppled over and hit the ground pretty hard, groaning in pain as he rolled onto his side. He needed to get out of there, he was not good at fighting and he was hating it.
Just hating it.
And Virtus did not hate anything. That was what made it the worse, really, because he did not understand his feelings and he just wanted to do the best for the Court, but he also wanted to care for everyone.
It was hard to be kind to his enemies, when also trying to fight them.
"Would it be okay if we uhm... if we called it a night? You can say you won if you wanted! I mean, you did. I just... uhm."

Tian was surprised her attack landed, but beating up Virtus was one thing that didn't make her feel good. Even that night she got beat up by the Negaverse general, she felt good, even though she lost. Reason being, she actually felt like she was defending the innocent. With Virtus... None of those feelings were there.
She walked over to Virtus whom was now on the ground and she squatted down to his level. Tian offered him a hand up. "Nah. I don't thinks really counts as a win or loss. I fight to defend the civilians. All that I can ask of you is to go home and not take anymore energy tonight."
"Does that sound fair?" Tian smiled at him. She knew that there was no way of her actually stopping him, but a part of her felt like he would be true to his word too.

Virtus smiled and nodded his head as she stooped by him. If he was playing possum he would have a great chance to get a surprise attack in, but unfortunately for any evil doers cheering him on he did not have those instincts. He just smiled at her and pushed himself up a bit.
"I think that's fair," he said with a nod.
And why not? He had done all he could for his patrol and that was all he could ask of himself, or give to his Court. He needed to go home and take care of himself a bit, and make sure he was fit enough to go and patrol again some other time.
Go get more energy, when he was up to it, but not tonight.
He offered her his hand, because he was a man who kept his promises and he was going to make sure she knew he intended to do that. And what better way then a good old fashioned hand shake?

Tian gratefully took Virtus's hand and gave it a strong shake. "Hm... I bet people don't do this every day." She smiled at him, happy that they were not fighting anymore. "Wouldn't it be better if everyone could or would do this?"
She knew that some people would never do something as peaceful as that. Some might even think they were betraying the other side. It would be a quick and easy way to end the war between the two sides, but war was never easy.
"Take care, Virtus. Be sure not to run into someone that would beat you up horribly!" Tian waved while walking towards a single story building. "Don't break our promise either!" She jumped onto the roof and slowly went higher until she disappeared, making sure that there was no way anyone would follow her home.Lithia_Brandon (( Last post for me 8D Thanks for RPing with me again, Lith! <3 ))
