Natron had made it a habit that if he sensed a Chaos power signature, he would approach it, especially if he felt like he was doing well on his duties for the evening.

This evening happened to be one of those. He was aware that most of the people he knew on the Chaos side were Senshi of one form or another; when he sensed a fellow Nega he immediately decided that this was someone he needed to know. It was also guaranteed to be a stranger; the power signature wasn't strong enough to be a General and he had yet to meet anyone closer to his own level.

He took a few roof jumps and then dropped to the ground, walking the rest of the way to where he sensed the signature. "Hello!" He called cheerily, his standard greeting to anyone on his side.

Captain Osumilite had sensed the signature of a young lieutenant and audibly groaned at the seemingly perky teenager approaching him. It was a common complaint of his, but why were the Generals so insistent on recruiting teenagers? And when they do recruit people he would appreciate - specifically older women - they were normally crazy violent or lesbians. In which case, he wasn't sticking his d**k in either, so he was a dog waiting for his superiors to throw him a bone.

Not a teenager.

"Hi," Osumilite said. He could be friendly, at the very least. "I don't think I've met you before. The name's Captain Osumilite, but many just call me Captain Awesome."

Natron paused for a moment when he heard the other Negaverser groan. Any number of paranoid worries ran through his head. Did he already have a reputation for being a failure? Or was this just someone who would prefer not to be bothered by a kid?

Well, at least he said hello.

"Lieutenant Natron. It's good to meet you, uh, Captain Awesome." Sure, he could do that. It was easier to remember than Osumilite anyway...

Captain Osumilite was silent for a moment as he pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his coat pocket and slapped one out. He placed the cig in his mouth an lit up before offering the open pack to the kid.

"Do you want one?" he asked. "Or you even old enough to smoke?" s**t, he was a bad influence. Whatever. "You must be in what, high school or something? That sucks."

He remembered his high school days fondly. Man. He had an awesome life. He took long drag of his cigarette as he reminisced to those days.

"No thanks," Natron said, "but thanks for offering. Couple months off." He admitted. This was a little embarrassing, all things considered. He wondered how many Negaversers were Painite or Osumilite's age rather than dumb kids like him.

"Last year of high school, looking forward to getting out." That was for sure. High school would have few golden halcyon memories for him. Just lots of getting stuffed in lockers or trash cans.

"Yeah, can't say I blame you," Osumilite shrugged. "Sucks being in high school, it's a ******** up time. Boring as hell and the girls are so whiny. I seriously don't know how high school boys put up with them, but maybe you're all just as annoying."

"So you're what?" he questioned. "IntO? InfO? You don't look like a Spec..."

Natron nodded in agreement. High school was not fun, and he doubted it would be, though he did have one small quibble. "Not every girl's totally terrible. Just most." His experience with girls not Toutatis was decidedly negative. Being a nerd sucked.

"IntO," he replied. "Uh, not sure I've got it in me to do some of what Spec does."

Osumilite looked the teenager up and down. Yeah. It didn't look like he had what it takes to be a SpecOp.

"Don't feel bad kid," Osumilite shrugged. "I don't have it in me either. Not that it'd be a good fit for me, even if I did. I think there's different plans for someone like me." He took another drag of his cigarette and continued. "I'm an InfO myself, spreading the good word about the Negaverse and the bad word about the Senshi terrorists. We all have our parts and our roles."

"So what do you do?" he asked. "What makes you an IntO?"

Natron sighed. He would never understand how Spec did what they did. He took out one Senshi in self-defense (and defense of his girlfriend) and it messed with his head for weeks. Was still messing with his head, when he let himself think it over, which was not often.

But he nodded agreement at the idea that they all had their roles. "So you must have some influence, then, huh," he said, an inferred statement versus a question, you couldn't really be an InfO without it.

"Me personally? I talk. To Senshi and Knights. A lot. I'm surprised how much they're willing to share f you dangle little bits of information at them."

"I'm...somewhat influential," he grinned. Oh goodie - this was the best topic of any conversation: himself. Anytime an excuse to talk about himself came up, which he made sure happened frequently, his face and eyes always lit up and his pearly white smiles came most naturally. The man practically got a semi each time he spoke of himself. "In my normal life I go by Tag Swagger, reported at WKDC Channel 6 News. Perhaps you've heard of me."

He winked. Of course he's heard of him. Well - sure, there was a chance not, and the chances were much, much higher than he ever would want to acknowledge.

"I do my part for the Negaverse in that role," he continued. "Although one doesn't need to be as highly celebrated of a public figure as myself to be an InfO." Did that sound egotistical? Nah. Probably not. Not compared to what he wanted to say, at least. "We recruit non-celebrities and other non-importants as well."

Okay. That part probably sounded douchey.

"What sort of information have you picked up?" he asked as he took a long drag from the cigarette. "Anything nice and juicy?"

It was really unfortunate that it was Natron how was bragging to, because, well, if there was one person utterly oblivious to a news celebrity, it was him. "I, er, don't really watch mainstream news." Just tabloid programs. Though he might start, knowing a fellow Negaverser was the anchor.

"But that's definitely a great place to be, I'd say," he acknowledged. The potential doucheness of Osumilite's statements pretty much flew right over his head. It seemed like pretty much a basic truth anyway. Not that most people weren't important but that public figures were a little moreso and maybe better positioned for InfO work.

Natron lived in a very nice place where Chaos people were basically good people anyway, so that helped.

"I dunno that I've gotten anything really juicy," he said, "but I've heard at least twice that a lot of newbies on the Order side feel really...lost. And I feel lie that's something to work with, because I sure as hell never felt that way."

"They don't have any sort of organization to them," he shrugged as he took another long drag. "That's part of why they are so dangerous, there's no sense of hierarchy, nothing to keep them together. They run rampant, causing trouble and threatening this planet. People need structure to give them a sense of responsibility for their powers - can you imagine the Negaverse without it? It'd be a disaster. And that's what the Senshi and Knights live in. That's what they cause."

"Anyway, if you do ever find something juicy, hit me up," he said, dropping the cigarette and stomping it out. "You know my name, you can figure out how to find me. I should get going but it was nice to meet you, Lieutenant Natron."

He gave a light head nod and flick of the wrist wave as he turned to walk off. "Maybe I'll be the one contacting you," he added until he was out of earshot and leapt off.
