Warden, Sienna’s new Bidoof, had had only a few culture shocks coming off the boat so far. The bird keeper had found him in a bizarre temple on Felicity island - well rather her friend Claramay had caught him, and Sienna did indeed find him. Sienna had caught a different Bidoof at some point during their run through the temple, but once Sienna had found Claramay, they mixed up their pokeballs. And so Sienna had Warden, an ornate guard Bidoof, instead of the shiny recessive one she had caught. She hoped Claramay would like that one just as much! Warden seemed to have no recollection of Claramay, so she assumed that Claramay had no time to get attached.
Anyway, after the flock had settled into the gym, and Warden into his new pond home, Sienna invited him to meet the rest of her team, to maybe have them take him out and get better accustomed to the human world.
“So Warden,” Sienna started, everyone gathered in her room. Frey, her Pidgeot towered over everyone, his daughter Akantha small, calm and waiting. Kipper couldn’t sit still and couldn’t wait to get outside and show the Bidoof around, Enide could care less and was more interested in something shiny she found on the floor. Skylar was perched on Sienna’s head, and didn’t want to talk to any strangers, let alone take them outside, without Sienna! What a thought. Warden was rather off-put by most of the birds. He was on good terms with Frey, who seemed to be somewhat in charge when Sienna wasn’t, but since the other birds had no real interest in him, he shared the same amount.
“I thought it might be a good idea for these guys to show you around the city while I run some errands,” She stroked Skylar’s feathers. Warden nodded, if this was what his master - trainer - wanted of him, then he would oblige and go into the...city with the other birds. He still felt a little awkward, however, that even though he had wing-like markings, he was not a bird. The species difference wasn’t the only thing that bothered him of course, they couldn’t help what they were and he didn’t really have a problem with bird pokemon in particular. He just would’ve rather spent the day with his new mate, Sentry.

As much as Warden wanted to decline the trip to the city, he felt he had to obey. He also felt that maybe he could learn more about the human world, which he supposed was the whole point of the trip. They left shortly after the chat, Sienna staying behind to do errands at the gym. The birds walked with a mixture of waddling and flapping. Kipper stayed the most grounded, Frey glided along very slowly and low to the ground; Akantha and Enide did a mixture of both, and Skylar had been quick to accept a ride on his back. It seemed to Warden like the small bird was rarely mobile. When Skylar wanted a ride, Frey joking said, “” Which made Warden heat up and fluff out, much to his embarrassment and the entertainment of the other birds, who let out a cacophony of laughing chirps. They all expressed that they were happy for Warden in the end though.

Warden waddled slowly with the group, Skylar preening himself on his back as they made their way around Motterossa City. A human city seemed to be a large area where they made clustered of nesting buildings close together, as well as places for food and other things. The houses of Motterossa were plain, and indeed slightly clustered together. There seemed to always be a peaceful, though chilly wind flowing through the area. There were many more humans than he’s ever seen in this city, though the Bidoof did not know that other cities usually held many more, and were much more busy and bustling. Motterossa was a peaceful city, despite it’s larger numbers. Their trip went quickly, the birds many comments about the structures, what went on inside them, their experiences with the buildings, what they thought of them; lots of questions about what he thought of them, if they had anything like it on the island, and many other questions. They did indeed seem to enjoy teasing him about Sentry or at least asking questions. He didn’t mind too much. All in all it was an interesting day and definitely felt enlightened and exhausted by the human world.
