Though Super Sailor Virtus was having a few issues with his mind frame and the perception of his duties, he was still trying to get out and do his patrols. Unfortunately, the more he powered up and tried to ignore all the bad feelings, the more bad feelings seemed to come.
He was not really good at processing those.
Usually, he could just cover his depression or upsetting feelings with good distractions. He would find the silver lining in almost any situation, and soldier on as up beat as humanly possible. But something was building inside of him that he did not understand.
He needed help to get his head on straight, to be reminded what he was doing. So, tonight he was out looking for someone to talk to, someone to help him and to maybe offer him a little advice on what he was doing wrong.
Why he was feeling so down, and maybe what he could do to fix it. But really, he could just do with some company, of any kind.

Aurora had been absorbed in her own thoughts lately. Since Toutatis had shown her her worst fear, it nagged on her worse and worse as the days wore on. Not that she blamed her best friend at all. In fact, she was even elated that Touta would call her a best friend, something that she never had before. But the feeling was still there, no matter how she hid her feelings behind happy smiles and good nature. She too could do with some company, of any kind. Tonight she didn't jump from rooftop to rooftop or play around in one of the many parks. She just walked. And when she felt that pinprick of Chaos aura, she stopped in her tracks and looked up. Who was the someone who was closing in on her? Someone who was slightly stronger than her. Would they be friendly or would they nag? It was another Dark Mirror senshi. A boy. A boy who wasn't Remarque! Aurora lightened up a bit and held up a hand in greeting, even as she spotted the sad face he wore. "Heeeeya!"

Virtus could never really look sad. It was like his face was not built to frown. He looked more mellow and thoughtful than anything else, but when she offered her hand he perked up immediately and offered her his hand in return. He gave her an enthusiastic hand shake.
"Hello there!"
The Senshi of Kindness had a thing for nice people. And being nice in return. He smiled and his light eyes all but fizzled with his warmth. It was genuine, as well, because he did not really know how to be anything else and lying was one of his biggest weak points.
He had not seen her before, but he recognized her as a member of his side.
"My name is Virtus! It's nice to meet you. Are you out on patrol? I've never seen you around before! Though, I haven't met everyone so that's not a bad thing."

There was someone as kind and bubbly as her? It threw Aurora for a loop, seeing what quite possibly was her own reflection.. in boy form. She just had to blink to get back to reality. ... maybe another blink. Wow. "Heya Virtus~! I'm Aurora. Uhm.. I guess I was patrolling. Mostly I was just walking around, thinking." She looked down at her get-up. "Though I guess I could've done that as a civilian, oh well." She beamed back up at him. "But wow. You're the second Dark Mirror guy I've met. I guess there aren't really many of you! Either that or I just don't get around. What're you doing? What are you a senshi of?" She leaned forward. "I'm the senshi of roooomaaaaance. Pretty nifty, huh?" She peered closer at him. This guy was pretty cute! And cute guys always made it on her shipping chart somewhere... heeeee hehehe.

Virtus tried to think how many boys there were, but he had to admit that he did not really know that many. Remarque was the closest friend he had out of that small pool, as well. He did not mind, though.
Girls were great too!
"I am the Senshi of Kindness! I'm a healer. Romance is a very nice sphere, and I think it suits you already." He chuckled, though he knew very little about her. Just on the introduction and her appearance, really, but it wasn't like he was making a negative judgment about her.
So it was fine!
"I am on patrol. Well. Kind of. I'm working on figuring out what I'm supposed to do, really. Do you want to patrol for a bit? I think I much prefer having company for it."

"Sure! I'd like the company!" Aurora answered, grinning. "And thanks for the compliment! A Senshi of Kindness, huh? I think that really suits you nicely too. Ahhhh, usually I like to hang out on the rooftops or at the park. But wherever is fine with me! Maybe I need a change of scenery." A change of scenery might be exactly what the doctor ordered. Whatever doctor that might be. Doctor Leto? Hrmmm.. She put on a thoughtful look. "What do you mean, 'figuring out what you're supposed to do'? Is there something wrong what what you're doing?"

Virtus nodded and decided to show her where he often got his energy. It was a low end of town, and it was not the nicest place to take any friends to go and hang out, but for the business of gathering energy it was as good a spot as any.
He hummed thoughtfully before answering her question.
"I guess I mean... there's nothing wrong with what I have to do! I really like my job and I'm honored I can help the Dark Mirror Court and I'll do anything I'm asked... I just feel like I'm not cut out to be much of a fighter. I try! I train very hard and I think I've come a long way, personally! But hitting people and hurting them is just... mean."
Counter intuitive, for a Senshi of Kindness.
"My magic lets me heal people! I really like doing that, and I want to be a helpful senshi if I can! I would rather support everyone else, you know? I could do that!"

"Heeeee." That's all Aurora could breathe out when she saw where they were. She actually hadn't made it to this part of town yet. It wasn't exactly some place she really wanted to go! But with Virtus at her side, not to mention a little magic, she was sure that they'd be okay. Because optimism. She listened closely to Virtus's plight. Omigosh he sounded just like her! Was he... was he really a mirror image of her, in boy form? Well, save for healing people. THOUGH that would be kinda cool. .. really cool. "Ahahahah, I know what you mean. I can't really fight either! Well, I mean, I've been training and stuff a bit.. but I don't like hurting anyone." Noooope. Nope nope nope nope. "So sometimes I kinda feel like.. maybe I'm not really cut out to be a big sailor warrior after all? Just sometimes. Don't get me wrong." Aurora laughed a nervous laugh again. "Everyone's like fight fight fight! and I'm like no no no!"

Virtus bounced along as they talked, his spirits pretty high and all it really took was a new friend and a nice conversation. He was an easy going guy and took the good out of the bad, facing almost everything with a smile.
He just found that sometimes it was easier with a partner in crime.
"You can't fight? I have been working so hard to learn how to fight! We can train together if you want! All I know are a few punches and positions but I think it is pretty good progress! Even without the magic. I'm kind of glad I didn't get any that could hurt people, though. I really like being able to heal people."
Because he hated seeing people get hurt.
"But don't worry! You're cut out for it, I promise! You don't have to fight! I'm actually trying to figure out a way to still be useful and still aid the Court, without having to just hurt others. We're supposed to guide them, aren't we? I I mean the white moon. We're supposed to help them, show them the right way."

"Yeah..." Help them. Show them the right way. "That's what, I would rather do, instead of knocking heads. Kicking butt and taking names. Where do you take the names anyway? I never got that saying, ahaha.." Aurora stopped in her tracks as she spotted a group of teenagers up ahead, gathered around the wall of shop. What was once a smile turned into a little scowl. Some people were just so rude! She was pretty sure they weren't drawing flowers on there. Or Princess Ares and the DMC symbols like Mimi was doing. "I'd love to train with you," she went on in a whisper. "I've gotten a bit of training from Bazzite and Wolframite so far, but, ah, I could always use more!" Nod nod. Though thinking about it just gave her the willies. Even pretending to fight was so.. so.... "So, uhm, should we..." The dark mirror pointed over to the teens. She'd never actually gone out and had an energy draining buddy before. How does this work she didn't even.

"I'm not sure! I always thought it was like, taking them down? Like an order at a restaurant. Maybe? Or... I'm not sure! Somewhere." He laughed. Some sayings would always baffle him, and it was probably better for him not to question them because clearly they meant something to enough people to keep them in popular use!
Virtus saw what she saw, following her gaze to spot the group of teenagers. They did not look like they were up to any good, but then there must have been something in their lives to make them act out that way. They just needed the chance to act out in a more positive situation.
Unfortunately he was not a councilor: he was there to get some energy.
"I... think we can take them! There's not too many and we both have our mirror shards, right? I don't usually go after people who are... awake, but I think we can do it if we work together!"

Aurora blinked. "We can... take energy from people who are awake?" That was a revelation. "Like, omigosh, could we... take their energy so they get all sleepy and not want to fight and then we can run away?!" That would... totally make things so much easier whenever someone was about to beat her senseless. But if that were really the case, why hadn't someone mentioned it before? Then there'd be no need to worry about fighting them. This was the best. strategy. ever. "So, uh," looking back to the hooligans, "what should we do? Just hide out here and drain them?"

Virtus was not sure if he was right, and he looked very thoughtful for a very long time. Could they drain energy like that? Really, he had never tried it, so of course the only answer was the obvious one.
"We'll just have to see!"
The only way to know was to try it, and they were both strong, capable, and eager senshi! They were perfectly suited to this kind of thing, after all, just by the fact that they were so happy.
A positive attitude was the right one and all that.
"I think our wraiths can do it. We just aim and shoot right? And with two wraiths out there we should be able to drain them before they can really do anything? I think two passes is the safest to try before they get too weak." Or rather, that was as far as he dared to go so far. And even that he didn't like to do: one was usually enough for him.

"Yeah, that's right! Maybe next time when we patrol together, we can do that, huh? If it fails, we can, like, make a break for it! And it'd be easier because there'll be two of us to outrun them!" YEAH. OPTIMISM. "Hokay." She reached inside her little pouch at her side to produce the mirror shard. Ready to go. "On the count of three?"

"Okay!"
Virtus took out his mirror shard and looked at it, smiling at the reflection he saw there. He was even nice to his mirror wraith, though the real application of that theory was not very easy to see. It wasn't like he could talk to it and pet it and tell it what a good helper it was.
But inside, that was how Virtus felt.
"One! Two! Three!"
He let his mirror wraith out and it moved to the targets, and Virtus watched with a very serious face. Well, as serious as he could look with a big dopey smile while slightly bouncing.
