The Story


The Eastern Mage's guild works under the idea that everyone pulls their weight, whether it be you are a mage or one of the people who keeps the guild going. If you have magic you have to use it. That's the rule. Every mage is matched with a partner with a complimentary magic to prevent the mage from falling to their magic negative side effects.

Kira is an experienced, but partnerless mage. As sister to a A-class mage, certain things are expected of her, so it is time to go to work. According to her sister, a new mage has arrived who would make a suitable partner for her. But what type of person is this partner? One thing is for sure, Kira is not going to take this sudden change sitting down.

Age: 53, but stopped aging at 13.
Sex: Female
Race: Mixed blood, most active traits are demonic in nature.
Magic Type: Anti-Mage Magic, a magic that increases the user's magical defence and physical abilities, including the speed they heal at, exponentially. The user can sustain normally fatal wounds such as organ damage and survive as long as the wound isn't held open.
Magical Draw Backs: Anti-Mage Magic also causes a person to lose their sense of taste. Their other senses become heightened, including their sense of touch, making every wound more painful than they should be. It also causes the users to be more emotional, violent, and if the magic is over used, feral.

Anything Else for Appearance?: Despite the her wounds healing quickly, Kira is badly scarred. The most distinct of these scars are around her throat and the one over her right eye, which is also missing. Her nose is crooked from being broken several times and she has skin so pale the veins can normally be seen through it.
Personality: Kira is a bit anti-social. She avoids people, especially other mages, unless she wants something from them or is trying to pick a fight. She is also very lazy, which is one of the reasons she stayed on medical leave so long. Despite her bad traits, Kira dislikes seeing anyone pick on a someone who can't fight back. She can be cocky and a bit mean when it comes to her skills in battle, but the demon girl really does want to help people get better. Too bad her advice normally just upsets people to the point where they ignore its validity.
History: To nobody's surprise, Kira was born into a family of mages. However, neither of her parents were capable of raising an anti-mage, so they asked her uncle to handle it until she had the proper amount of control to come home. Her uncle knew nothing of children, but she was not his first student, so he tried to train her like any other student. She quickly grew to hate him do to his unsupportive treatment. The person she bonded with was his wife, her aunt Livia. She taunt her to express her anger through art.

At around twelve, she moved back into with her parents. They were nice enough, but she didn't think of them as family. Instead she grew distant. At around sixteen, she realized she had stopped aging, a random side effect of her magic which could have happened any time but happened early for her. That's when she realized that her parents still couldn't handle her. So, instead, she headed to the mage's guild her sister worked in. there she got a fresh start with nobody trying to be a parent to her.

She was parented with another girl called Maria, who happened to be a Emotional Manuipulation Mage, a mage who could calm or upset a target at will. Due to the compatible natures of their magic, they made a good team. But Maria was human and she simply got older as Kira stayed the same. Despite this, she tried her best not to slow her friend down. But, when she reached fifty and her wounds just were not healing like they used to, she decided to retire. Kira convinced her to go on one last mission and so they made it a big one. Unfortunately it was too big and the resulting failure killed Maria.

Since then, five years has past, which is two years past the normal mourning time for a mage. However, Kira has been adamant about not taking a partner.
