Frite's tail dragged along the ground, creating an odd serpentine pattern in the sand as she walked. Well ... crawled might be more like it. The poor thing was so sad and depressed, that she didn't feel like she had the energy to go on.

She'd spoken with many lions, and lionesses but no one had seen her protector. It was almost as if he had simply vanished off the face of the earth! No - that couldn't be the case, he couldn't just vanish like that! HE HAD TO PROTECT HER!

Grumbling to herself, she kicked a patch of sand with her paw, exerting the last of her energy, and nearly collapsing to the ground in one swift movement.

As she sat there on the ground, alone and defenseless she gazed upon the many scars along her front paw and winced at the memories. Her heart raced, and felt as though it were going to fly out of her chest, all at the same time. It was a terrible memory, but it held one great factor to it - him. The General of her old pride, the lion of her dreams.

With a sigh, she pulled herself together, pulling herself into a lying position and beginning to draw out a small detailed map in the sand before her.

Mani walked along, a tune in her head and in her feet. The cheetah wasn't one that often sang, because she didn't fancy her voice all that nice. She also didn't get bitten by the music bug all that often, either; so moments like these were interesting. For every rare time that it happened, the subject mattered was different. One time had been about the stars, another about the sunset. The last time had been about the many that she'd encountered on her travels. This one, however, seemed to be about love. A touchy subject matter for herself or anyone that chose to let themselves have something more..

" At night again I went outside to sleep,
so he could be closer to me
I could see the sky from my bed, I began waiting,
to see a shooting star
They say that if you see a shooting star, then
you can wish for anything
At night I whispered a wish up to the sky
I wish the wind started blowing soon

Wind, blow where my darling is
Play a while with his hair
Tell him my love, tell him how I miss him
Tell him, I'm still waiting for him ~ "

At first, the female hardly heard the voice as it floated around her, caught in the bonds of the wind. But it seemed the closer the other got to her, the more she could hear. It wasn't the loveliest of voices, though by no means was it the worst. It was smooth and had a sweet sound to it. Frite found herself oddly attracted to it, and at the same time more relaxed than she had been mere moments before.

Though she couldn't make out all of the sung words, the ones she did pick up one, she found quite beautiful. Whoever the voice belonged to, must be in quite a good mood.

Trying to attract her attention back to her own map, she found that she was now humming the same tune as the unknown voice. It was ... sort of catchy ...

"Well if that's not distracting, I don't know what is!" The words were grumbled, though not meant to be taken rudely. "At least its got a pretty catchy beat." Smiling contentedly to herself, she took one quick gaze around before going back to her work.

That's when she caught sight of the gorgeous purple cheetah walking across the plains, not far from where she herself was. Though, she wasn't quite sure whether she should speak up about her presence. Usually strangers meant danger, and she didn't want any of that until she met up with her Vodnitvar once again.

Then - then she'd take on all the danger she could ever handle.

The black and purple cheetah kept up the progress of her walk and her tune. She wasn't the best at singing, but she knew how to keep her voice steady when it needed to be, and dip when called for. Mani always wondered if there was a lion pride centered around music. That would be entertaining, for sure and could at least be a possibility. Lion prides seemed to range wildly in their beliefs, or so that she could tell. Some weren't great with sharing, so it was hard to tell. But that was fine, that was their business, and their culture and they were entitled to it. Mani might have walked comepletely passed the scarred lioness, had she not sneezed. This, of course, interrupted her song but the cheetah didn't mind. It gave her the chance to stop and look at her surroundings, which, included a lion.

The abrupt sneeze once again brought the lioness out of her map working skills, and with a childish grin, she giggled at the cheetah's antics. She'd gone from singing a lovely song, to sneezing in the drop of a hat. For a moment, she debated blessing the female's sneeze, but decided against it. She would be safe so long as the female didn't know she was here.

But that wasn't the case, with one quick side glance, Frite knew what the cheetah knew. Neither of them were alone in the plains today. Cowering a bit to herself, Frite tried to pretend she hadn't seen the female, but she kne that tactic could lead to her looking defenseless and more possible danger.

Instead she looked over to the cheetah, only a few yards away, raised a paw and gestured for her to come over. At the same time, waving her white tail in the air as a sign of peace.

Mani shook her head slightly, after her sneeze. That was the hazards of living in the Rogue Lands. There was always something potentially floating around in the air, ready to fly up your nose and make you sneeze. Inhaling deeply, she'd seen the lioness wave her paw. It wasn't a shooing away motion, though it was certainly something to see a lion wave their tail. Mani could safely say that she'd never seen that before. She walked calmly over to the interesting, with a smile on her face. Perhaps she'd be another new friend for her to keep tabs on.

As the cheetah approached, Frite's heart began to jump with excitement. Whether this was going to lead to another friendship, or go in a terrible other direction, she didn't know. But the closer the female got, the more at ease she felt. The cheetah had a large smile on her face, and seemed more than friendly enough.

"HI THERE!" She yelped with a wide childish grin on her face. Quickly covering her mouth, she giggled lightly, the cheetah wasn't all that far out, so her strange raise in tone was out of line.

"Oops sorry, didn't mean to yell at you like that! Sometimes I get a little over excited, and apparently I talk too much ..." Attempting to hold her words in, the female simply grinned at her new guest and nodded in her direction.
